Not Again

“Are you guys still here?!” Bow pops his head into the staff room where Netossa, Adora and Catra are still perusing through files, “You’re shift ended an hour ago. Go home guys.”

Catra looks up first, blinking at Bow a few times before standing up and stretching herself out and then muttering, “Fucking Prime…”

“Shh!” Netossa shushes the magicat, “That dickhead is on shift now. You don’t want to get written up for behaviour issues, especially against him.”

“I’m not on shift. Doesn’t fucking matter.” Catra shrugs tiredly as Adora stands up, “And he can go fuck himself. I don’t care if he hears me.”

“I care if someone reports you for slander.” Adora yawns and then glares at the magicat, “I think my eyes are going fuzzy from looking through all these documents.”

“Go home guys.” Bow repeats exasperated, “I don’t want to have to reshuffle staff again if I can avoid it.”

A phone rings behind them as Netossa quickly stands up, “Spinny! Shit, sorry! I’ll be home soon.” She turns to the trio, “Gotta go! Wife’s a callin’!”

Catra laughs as Netossa gathers her stuff and quickly makes her way out, shooting a glare at the magicat as Adora and Bow quickly say goodbye.

“Did you find anything, princess?” Catra asks as Adora yawns again.

“No. A lot of what we’re looking for has been omitted.” Adora replies blinking tiredly, “I haven’t been able to get access to the patients that are deceased.”

“I’ll get Emily onto it.” Catra says as she gathers all the files and stacks them in her arms, “I’m going to put these back.”

“Give them to me.” Bow holds his arms out, “Go home. Rest. You’re no good to us tired.”

“I’m fine, Arrows.” Catra refutes and Bow looks at her like he sees right through that lie, “Ugh, fine. Here.”

She dumps the stack of folders into Bow’s arms, “Thanks. I’ll see you guys in a few days time.”

“I thought we were back on tonight?” Adora recalls, “Isn’t that what’s on the schedule?”

“Nope.” Bow declares, “Glim’s made it so we ease the pair of you back on instead of burning you out straight away.”

“You know I need the shifts, Arrows.” Catra groans out, “I’m not made of money, you know.”

Bow sighs, “I know. But think long term buddy.”

Catra just stares back at him.

“Short term pain, long term gains.” Bow says proudly, “If you burn yourself out again, you’re going to have to take more time off. And I’d prefer to have competent doctors instead of pompous know it alls that think they’re always right.”

Catra chuckles at that, “Anyone in mind that you are thinking about when you say that?”

“Nope.” Bow says with a grin, “Now, please. Go home. You’ll have a few more shifts after a couple of days off.”

“Come on, Catra.” Adora pulls at Catra’s jacket, “I’m hungry. Buy me breakfast.”

“Buy you breakfast?” Catra says a little stunned, “Were you not listening to the conversation I just had with Arrows?”

“Fine. I’ll buy you breakfast.” Adora relents, “I’m hungry.”

“Pouts and those eyes aren’t going to break me.” Catra declares looking away poignantly, “My walls are rock solid to break through.”

Adora juts her bottom lip out a little more to no effect on the magicat, then she sighs and then says with a grin, “I’ll get you cake.”

“You’ll get me cake?” Catra repeats slowly.

“Fine. I’ll bake you a cake. But after we get breakfast.” Adora offers, “So? Please?”

“You can’t keep bribing me with cake, princess.” Catra moves to grab her backpack and Adora grins in victory.

“Yes, I can.” Adora replies with a grin, grabbing her own bag and nudging Catra in the shoulder as they exit the hospital, she quickly turns around, “Bye Bow!”

“Rest up, guys!” Bow calls out with a grin as he looks around for where to put these files in his arms.

They finish up at the diner after breakfast, Catra pays despite Adora’s arguments, but in the end, she relents and lets the magicat pay anyway.

As they stand outside the diner, Adora huffs out, “You didn’t have to pay. I said I would treat you.”

“It’s fine.” Catra brushes it off, “Though maybe next time warn me if you are planning to get three meals in one sitting.”

“Hey!” Adora whines out, “I told you I was hungry.”

Catra chuckles at Adora’s pouting again, the magicat yawns, shaking her head to wake herself up before her eyelids feel droopy again, “I think bed is calling me.”

“Oh.” Adora nods and yawns too, “Same.”

“Well, I guess I’ll see you next shift.” Catra puts up a hand and waves briefly before turning to walk home, the magicat pauses and turns to Adora, “Want me to walk you home, princess?”

“Are you going to collapse again at my front door?” Adora teases and Catra just smiles back at the memory.

“Probably.” Catra shrugs, “I am kind of tired.”

“Well, then you definitely better come home with me. Just in case, you know?” Adora says with faux concern, “Don’t want you to be falling asleep walking yourself home.”

Catra smiles, “If you want me to stay with you, all you have to do is ask, princess.”

“Stay with me?” Adora asks with a shy smile.

“Of course, princess.” Catra agrees, grabbing Adora’s hand, the blonde looks down with a smirk on her lips, “This is for safety. My safety.”

“Uh huh.” Adora giggles as they start walking back to Adora’s place, she stops suddenly, “Wait! Don’t you need a change of clothes or a toothbrush or something?”

“I’ll get them later.” Catra yawns, “We’re already closer to your place than mine.”

“Okay.” Adora nods and they just as they start to walk off, the blonde remembers something else, “Oh crap!”

“What?” Catra turns her head to the blonde.

“I forgot my lunch bag!” Adora groans out.

“So? Just grab it next time.” Catra shrugs.

“I can’t.” Adora sighs and Catra just stares at her in question, “My medication is in there.”

“Medication?” Catra asks, “I’ve never seen you take any medication… is it life or death that you need them?”

“No. It’s my eyedrops.” Adora clarifies, “I need them to see.”

“Oh, right.” Catra nods and then turns the pair back around to head back to the hospital, “Well, don’t want you to be blind until you your next shift.”

“Thanks.” Adora smiles back at the magicat, nudging her a little playfully.

“You can thank me later with cake.” Catra shrugs with a small smile.

“Guys! Go home!” Bow throws his head back upon seeing Catra and Adora walk back in before he spots their joined hands and can’t help the happy squeal that comes out, “Oh! Oh! Are you two…?”

Catra looks down at her hand in Adora’s and then back at Bow and just shrugs, “I don’t see how me holding Adora’s hand points to us getting together.” She holds up their joined hands and then says flatly, “This is for my safety. In case I collapse on the way home.”

“Uh…” Bow furrows his brow at the reaction before he turns to Adora, “Um… what?”

Adora just blushes, carefully extracting her hand from Catra’s, “I just need to grab my lunch bag from the fridge…”

“Your eyedrops, huh?” Bow says knowingly.

“Yeah.” Adora sheepishly replies, “I’m just going to quickly get it and then we’ll be out of your hair.”

The blonde quickly walks to the staff room to retrieve her lunch bag, leaving Bow and Catra near the nurses desk.

“So… are you and Adora seeing each other?” Bow asks.

“I’m… I’m really not sure.” Catra replies as she stares after the blonde.

“Do you want to see her?” Bow tilts his head and watches as Adora disappears into the staff room, “Because… apart from me and Glim, no one has stayed over at her place.”

“Must be just lucky, I guess.” Catra says with drooping eyes, “Though, not that she had much of choice since I practically passed out on her doorstep.”

Bow chuckles a little awkwardly, “But you stayed with her while she was sick…”

“I did.” Catra says as she turns her head and sees Dr Prime stepping out of a familiar room, the magicat frowns, “Why is Prime in Mrs Wilson’s room?”

Bow looks up and sees their senior resident walking towards them, “He isn’t supposed to be in there…”

“Dr Archer. Catra.” Prime says as he walks by, he quirks an eyebrow up the magicat and then snarks, “How’s your fist? If you really want to knock down walls, maybe you should work in demolition.”

Bow grabs Catra’s wrist and squeezes as they watch Prime chuckle to themselves and walk away.

“What an asshole.” Catra seethes.

“Whoa…” Bow pats the magicat on her shoulder, “Pick your fights. He’s not worth it.”

Catra takes in a few calming breathes before Bow releases her wrist once he can feel her muscles relaxing, “Still an asshole, though.”

Bow nods with a confirming smile.

15 minutes later…

“What’s taking Adora so long?” Catra stands back up from leaning against the wall, “I thought she was just going to grab her lunch bag…”

“Oh, she’s probably talking to Glimmer.” Bow supplies happily, “It’s been like a minute since they’ve probably talked.”

“Huh.” Catra says dumbly, “Aren’t you three like joined at the hip?”

Bow just laughs, “No, we’re just really close. Best friends if you will.”

“Uh huh.” Catra replies unimpressed with his enthusiasm.

“You know…” He slyly elbows her playfully, “If you and Adora get together… you could be part of our Best Friend’s Squad and oh! We can double date!”

“No. No way.” Catra quickly replies, even taking a step back to prove her point, “Surely you’ve double dated with Adora before.”

Bow shakes his head, “No, she hasn’t dated much. Doesn’t even hook up.”

“Uh… ok.” Catra replies, it’s really none of her business since she’s not dating the blonde anyways, “Besides, you don’t want me dating Adora. It’d be a train wreck, for sure.”

“No, it won’t.” Bow says with a soft smile, “You looked after her when she was sick and she looked after you when you were on the brink of exhaustion. So, I think you two are a perfect match… oh no…”

CODE BLUE! CODE BLUE! ROOM 158! ROOM 158! CODE BLUE!

Catra’s eyes widen, “Shit! Mrs Wilson!”

Shoving past Bow, Catra sprints towards Mrs Wilson’s room only to find a nurse prepping the patient with oxygen as the magicat quickly gets into action, pulling on a pair of gloves and getting started.

“Catra! Stop!” Adora tries to pull Catra back as the machine flatlines, the magicat still pushing buttons on it to up the voltage to bring the older woman back, “Catra!”

“I’m not letting her die, Adora.” Catra growls back as she places the paddles on Mrs Wilson once more, “Clear!”

BUZZ!

“Fuck! Come on! Come on! Come on!” FUCK!” Catra smashes the paddles down against the machine, shoving it against the wall, nearly toppling it as she angrily gives up, “Damn it! FUCK!”

The magicat’s hands go to behind her head, digging her claws into her sculp as she pants out angrily, Adora looks at the nurse and other staff in the room, “I’m calling it.”

Catra doesn’t fight it, she just turns around and glares at the walls.

“Time of death, 11.14am.” Adora declares and then sighs out, “Can you guys give me and Dr Catra a minute?”

The rest of the staff nod, Bow giving Adora an encouraging look as he walks out.

“Catra?” Adora says softly, calmly, “Cat?”

“She was only here for a hip replacement.” Catra grits out, eyes still glaring at the wall as Adora comes around and switches off the machine, the magicat shakes her head, “She was going to be discharged tomorrow.”

Adora wraps her arms around the magicat from behind and sighs into Catra’s back, “I’m sorry, Cat.”

Catra shakes her head again, “I… This is my fault.”

“No.” Adora mirrors the shake of her head against Catra’s back, “This is not your fault.”

“It is.” Catra narrows her brows, her body slumps forward as Adora’s arm holds her up, “I put her on Prime’s radar. If I just… fuck…”

Adora sighs again, “Come on. We’re not even supposed to be working right now…”

“I can’t go.” Catra replies defeated, “Someone needs to talk to her family.”

“Let Bow do it.” Adora suggests, “Or even Glimmer.”

Catra shakes her head again, “No. It has to be me.”

“Why?” Adora frowns, “This wasn’t your fault.”

“Her kids deserve to hear it from me.” Catra says, “They lost their father a year ago. Mrs Wilson was supposed to go on a world tour with her kids and grandkids to celebrate George’s life, but… well, that’s not going to happen now.”

Adora pulls the magicat into her body tighter, “Well, we’ll talk to them together.”

Catra turns herself around in Adora’s arms and looks the blonde in the eyes, her own sullen and lost in her thoughts, “What am I supposed to say? It’s… it’s fucked up.”

Without thinking, Adora presses her lips onto Catra’s forehead and sighs, and then rests her own forehead on the magicats, “We’ll figure this out. Together. Okay?”

Catra swallows down hard, sighing, “I have to go make a call.”

“You’re not alone in this.” Adora doesn’t let Catra out of her arms just yet, “You’ve got me.”

Catra nods, “Yeah. You’ve got me too.”

Adora smiles, “Go. Go call her family. We’ll look after her from here.”

The magicat nods sadly, “Okay.”

“Catra?” the magicat looks up, “This wasn’t your fault. Okay?”

Just as Catra is about to say something else, Adora presses a soft kiss on her cheek before bringing her in for a hug, the magicat’s arms wrapping around Adora’s waist as they hold onto each in comfort, Catra eventually pulls back, “I have to make a call, princess.”

“Okay.” Adora nods, releasing her hold on the magicat as she watches Catra exit the room before the blonde breathes out, and looks around the messy room and sighs, “Fuck.”

Seeing Mrs Wilson’s family of 6 pacing around the waiting room makes Catra feel even more guilty as she pushes the door open and steps out to meet them.

“Hi guys.” She greets the family members, who immediately look up upon recognising her voice, and just as she’s about to give them the bad news, Adora quickly steps out and stands beside her, the magicat turns as Adora nods to her to show her support.

“Doc?” The older gentleman asks as he steps forward, “Is mom alright?”

Catra swallows down hard and shakes her head, “I’m sorry, Dennis. Mrs Wilson, your mom… had… is… uh… no. She’s not alright. She passed away at around 11am today.”

The shocked looks on the faces of Mrs Wilson’s family members is as expected, the magicat trying to be strong despite knowing that she’s going to have to deal with angry family soon, Dennis’ wife wraps him up in a hug as he stares at Catra still stunned. After a moment when it sinks in, he says, “What happened? I thought she was getting discharged tomorrow.”

“She was.” Catra replies, “She was on schedule to be discharged tomorrow but…” the magicat scratches the back of her head, there’s really no explanation that she can think of as her eyes dart around from family member to family member.

“There were some complications.” Adora steps forward, “We did everything we could to save her but…” the blonde looks at Catra who’s still trying to gather her thoughts, “Sometimes, it’s just not enough.”

Adora expects Catra to call her out, but the magicat just whips her head around and stares at the blonde.

“Is she…?” Dennis speaks up, his voice soft still as he looks at Catra, the magicat doesn’t see anger in his eyes as he walks over and holds his arms open, “Come here. You’re family too.”

“I am?” Catra says dumbfounded, “…how?”

He smiles, “Mom talked about you all the time.”

Catra still doesn’t move as he takes another step forward and envelopes her into his arms, “Uh… why aren’t you mad?”

“She lived a good life, doc.” Dennis sighs before releasing the magicat, “And she’d talk about you like you were the best thing since sliced bread. And I don’t just mean at the hospital. Like in general. And mom had really high standards. Bet you didn’t know she was scared of hospitals, but then you came along and as long as you were her doc, Doc, she was fearless. And don’t get me started with the stories she used to tell us about her lovely hospital magicat doctor…”

Catra can’t help but laugh as does the rest of Mrs Wilson’s family, “She tried to set me up with one of the male nurses and when I told her I wasn’t into guys, she asked if I was vegetarian.” The magicat recalls, “And when I said no, she said something I don’t think I should repeat in public.”

“She said something lewd, didn’t she?” Dennis chuckles wetly, “I think the word she used was… vag-itarian.”

“Stars!” Adora’s eyes widen and a blush comes across her face when Mrs Wilson’s family all laugh at the memory.

“Wait, she told you that?” Catra gapes, but she can’t help the smile that adorns her face, “You know she calls you Dennis the Menace. Literally named you after that kid.”

“I know.” Dennis laughs, “Unfortunately I couldn’t live up to that mischievous little brat.”

“I think that was a good thing.” Catra replies, shaking her head fondly.

Dennis looks over at Adora, “She also told me about you.”

“She did?” Adora points to herself.

He nods, and the gestures for Adora to come towards him before saying to Catra, “Woah, this is a private conversation.”

Catra furrows her brows at him in confusion as he just winks back at her with a small smile and the magicat takes a step back in respect.

Adora steps forward tentatively and she’s instantly pulled into a huddle with the family of 6, “Uh…”

“Mom said that you are also family, doctor Adora.” Dennis says as Adora bites her bottom lip with a nod, not expecting that at all, “So, she also said that you and Doc over there are prefect for each other.”

“She did?” Adora eyebrows raise up to her forehead.

“She did.” Dennis confirms with an approving nod, “So, go for it. I know it’d make her happy if you proved her right.”

Catra ears twitch, indicating that she heard it, the magicat staying stoic and pretending that she didn’t as Adora chuckles fondly as she looks over at Catra, “I guess, I can’t let her down, huh?”

“Definitely not.” Dennis replies haughtily before laughing and breaking the huddle before adding, “Don’t feel obliged, doctor Adora.” He looks between the pair and say loud enough for everyone to hear, “I know you two did everything you could, mom loved you guys.” He wipes back a few tears, “And I’m glad you were her doctors.”

“I’m sorry for your loss.” Catra sighs out, running a hand through her hair.

“I’m sorry for your loss too.” Dennis returns with a wet smile and sniffles once again.

“Do you want to see her?” Adora asks, “When the final tests are concluded we will release her to you so you can properly farewell her.”

“Thank you.” Dennis nods as his wife holds him as they start to follow Adora back inside, Catra hanging back as he turns around, “Doc. Whatever happened to mom, it wasn’t your fault. I know you wouldn’t have done anything to hurt her, let alone kill her.”

Catra just stares back and after a few moments, nods though not believing it as she waves them off and once they’re gone, slumps down against the wall of the waiting room, not caring about the strange looks coming from the people waiting in there.

Just as Catra’s exiting the waiting room, she sees Mrs Wilson’s kids and grandkids in the room with Adora and she almost walks into someone, as she’s about to apologize she looks up and sees who it is.

Dr Prime.

And he’s standing there looking all smug, smirking down at the magicat, not even bothering to straighten up when he says, “You seem to be an angel of death around her, Catra.”

Catra bites her tongue, knowing that he’s pushing her buttons on purpose and out in the open, with a lot of witnesses, she just glares at him and decides to walk away, lest she does something she might truly regret, like stabbing him the eye with her pen.

“Perhaps your medical licence needs to be reviewed.” He snarks, the smug look still on his face, “No one else has a track record like you do.”

The magicat pauses, her ears twitching as she fists her hands, willing herself not to turn around and keep on walking.

And when she doesn’t reply, he prods one more time, “Your silence speaks volumes. I’m sure the board will be intrigued to find out what you’ve done, since starting here. Nothing but a… killer. Even when you’re not on shift.”

Catra turns and hisses at him, and as she’s about to pounce, Glimmer comes over and quickly wraps her arm around the magicat, turning her away from whatever violence she was about to inflict on their senior, the glittery woman harshly whispering to Catra, “It’s not worth it. Walk away.”

The magicat just growls but allows herself to be led off as she hears Prime snicker in the background at getting a reaction from the magicat.

“Sit.” Glimmer orders Catra when she pulls her back into the staff room as Adora slips inside as well.

The blonde looks between the pair, confused by mood, “Uh, everything alright?”

“No.” Glimmer replies as she turns to Adora with a sigh, “Prime’s just being… well, Prime.”

“Oh. What happened?” Adora asks looking over at Catra sitting at the table brooding.

“He called me a killer.” Catra replies, “And blames me for all the deaths that’ve happened on my shift. Oh, also the ones that didn’t happen on my shift.”

Adora frowns, “That’s wrong. You’re not a killer and those deaths were not your fault.”

Catra huffs out, surprising Glimmer, the sparkly girl twisting back to the magicat, “You don’t really believe anything that he says. You’re not a killer and those deaths, definitely not your fault.”

Another huff from the magicat.

Adora sits down next to Catra, draping her hand over the magicat’s, she’s surprised when Catra intertwines their fingers, the blonde smiles softly at the act, then looks back at Glimmer who’s eying their hands, “Is there any progress on Prime?”

Glimmer’s face remains neutral, but it looks like she wants to say something but can’t, she bites her bottom lip after a while and then sighs, “I can’t say anything.”

Catra looks up, “Am I being investigated?”

“Uh…” Glimmer looks away guiltily as she hears the magicat sigh.

“Yeah, figured.” Catra shrugs as Adora squeezes her hand, “Reckon I could get a reference from here so I can go get another job somewhere else when this all goes to shit?”

“Catra. You’re not going to get fired.” Adora chastises before turning Glimmer, “Right?”

“I’m not allowed to talk about this.” Glimmer replies diplomatically, “I’m sorry. I just… I just can’t talk about it while there’s an investigation ongoing.”

“It’s fine.” Catra chuckles sullenly, “I’m sure I can get my old job back…” a cold shiver comes over the magicat at the thought of working back at that actual hellhole again, “On second thought… maybe I’ll just work as a EMT or something.”

“You get motion sickness.” Glimmer rolls her eyes, “You can’t focus when things are literally moving.”

“Well, then maybe I’ll just be the driver.” Catra shrugs.

“Ha!” Glimmer laughs out sarcastically, “Like you would give up control?!”

“Whatever.” Catra huffs out again before throwing her head back, “Then, I’m fucking screwed, aren’t I? I’m going to lose my medical licence, my job and my income.” She looks at Adora, “Can I room with you until I get back on my feet?”

“You’re still on your feet.” Adora replies with a little nudge to Catra’s shoulder, “And yes. You are more than welcome to stay with me for whatever reason.”

“I am?” Catra looks at Adora in genuine interest, “Because I don’t want your pity or your charity…”

“I’m not giving you pity or charity.” Adora says, “If anything, it just means I’m going to be giving you more cake.”

“Are you trying to fatten me up or something, princess?” Catra teases.

The blonde looks the magicat up and down, tutting, “Definitely. You’re just skin and bones, Catra.” Catra raises an eyebrow at the blonde as she continues, “I would take it upon myself to look after your health and wellbeing. And if it means a little cake and letting you stay with me… well, I’m not complaining.”

“You’re just trying to get me back into your bed, princess.” Catra returns, her mood lifting significantly with the change in conversation, not even noticing that Glimmer has stepped out and when she turns her head, “Sneaky little…”

“Can we go home now?” Adora asks with a yawn.

“Oh.” Catra sighs, “I haven’t quite finished up the paperwork for Mrs Wilson yet.”

“Bow’s been perusing her file, he said he’ll let us know if there’s anything out of the ordinary shows up.” Adora informs the magicat, “He mentioned that you guys saw Prime walk out of her room not that long before she coded?”

“Yeah, we did.” Catra replies playing with Adora’s fingers in her hand, “I doubt they’ll find anything. He’s dodgy as fuck. Stars knows why he was even in her room.”

There’s a knock on the door and the pair look over in sync, Bow pops his head in, “Hey. You’re still here…”

“What’s up, Arrows?” Catra asks.

“Uh… I think there’s something you should see.” Bow says in a quick whisper, “It’s about Mrs Wilson. I don’t think her death was accidental…”

“Traps. What the fuck are you doing in here? Why aren’t you in surgery cutting people up?” Catra deadpans at her friend who’s hovering over Mrs Wilson body, “Should you even be down here?”

“Yes!” Entrapta replies as she pulls Catra over to Mrs Wilson’s right side, “It’s my day off! Or is it rest of the day off… hm… but anyways… look at this!”

“What am I looking at, Traps?” Catra looks over Mrs Wilson’s body and then something catches her eye, she glances over to Entrapta who beams back at her, “She was injected with something. And not through her IV.”

Entrapta nods, “She was! Emily is analysing it now.”

“Fuck sakes…” Catra groans out, “She was murdered. This is totally fucked up.”

“Do you think Prime had something to do with his?” Bow asks.

“Definitely.” Catra replies not waiting for Entrapta.

“We can’t be sure. Not until we get the results.” Entrapta says matter of factly, “And once we get the results, well, you know. Data never lies.”

“So, we just… wait?” Adora asks and Entrapta nods “Okay.” She turns to Catra, “Can we go home now?”

“Catra! Are you and Adora…?” Entrapta starts before Catra clears her throat.

“No. We are not.” Catra replies as she looks at Adora, “We’re just… getting to know each other.”

“Mm…” Entrapta hums to herself, “Have you kissed yet?”

“Where?” Catra asks intentionally being vague.

“Anywhere.” Entrpata clarifies, “Kissing a magicat is pretty much an intimate act. Lips obviously are a clear indicator of love. Cheeks are a little more along the friendzone and teetering on more. Forehead is… well, familiar.”

“Traps. She doesn’t need to know all of this.” Catra growls out unhappily at being exposed before she feels Adora wrap her arms around the magicat from the back once again, eliciting a purr from the tired magicat, “Princess?”

“Ooh! A nickname!” Entrapta beams as Catra glares at her, “Sorry… sorry.”

Catra rolls her eyes, “Adora. I’m taking you on a date. Yes?”

“Sure.”

“Great.” Catra nods, “So, that’s out of the way now. Can we go back to Mrs Wilson? Did Prime kill her?”

“We haven’t got the results back yet.” Entrapta reminds her.

“No.” Catra nods in agreement, “Does Prime know about this?”

“If he did it, then yes! He definitely would know.” Entrapta replies.

“Fuck. Then…” Catra starts.

“Emily is performing the tests in secret but under surveillance.” Entrapta explains, “And we are keeping Mrs Wilson’s body under surveillance too. Just in case someone tries to come in and interfere with her results.”

Catra looks up and spots the small spy camera’s disguised as a sprinkler and then grins, “I love your work, Traps.” The magicat yawns, “Okay, we are going to get some shut eye.”

“Don’t forget to eat!” Bow calls out.

“And he means food!” Entrapta adds with a smirk.

Adora blushes, her eyes widening at Catra at the comment, “Uh…”

“I’m way too tired to fuck, princess.” Catra says loud enough for the room to hear, “And if we already had breakfast like…” the magicat grabs Bow’s arm and turns it over to read the time, “Fuck, that was hours ago!”

Adora nods with a yawn, “Let’s go home.”
“Sure.” Catra nods before giving Bow and Entrapta a quick wave, “Keep me in the loop when Emily gets the results.”
“You got it!” Entrapta throws a thumbs up.
