The Fight
In bed both Caitlyn and Vi were cuddling when Vi looks up at Caitlyn and begins to talk about their future.
"Cait what if we get a house far away from here and adopt some cute kittens?" Vi said while drawing circles on Caitlyn's chest.
"Don't you think it's a little early to talk about us? We just fought a huge war and we still have to find you know." She bit her tounge before the name slipped out.
It had been little over a year since Jinx "died" or so everyone thought, everyone but Vi. Vi had hope that Jinx was somewhere out there.
"Cupcake just because everyone and everything is against us doesn't mean we have to focus on that you know." Vi said.
"Vi I know but don't you think we are going to fast? Your sister just died for god sake." The second the words left Caitlyn's mouth she knew she messed up.
"Are you serious Caitlyn?! You have to be kidding me. Jinx isn't dead you know that, she..." Vi took a breathe as she pushed Caitlyn off herself, "She left through the vents you said it yourself. There is so many ways to get out of there."
Vi got up from the bed, walking over to pick up her clothes. Tears rolled down her cheeks, she wasn't normally this sensitive about things, that wasn't until she lost her sister. Since that day Vi couldn't even hear Jinx's name without starting a fight.
"Vi what are you doing?!" Caitlyn sits up on the bed. "I didn't mean it like that you know that. I just don't want you to start going ahead of everything when we still have a lot to do and discover." She climbed over the bed to reach for Vi.
Caitlyn normally wasn't clingy with Vi but during these moments she was because she knew Vi just needed someone to lean on. She grabbed Vi by the shoulder and wrapped her arms around her. She began to kiss her back tattoo remembering that Vi had suffered too much at a young age and even now.
"Caitlyn don't touch me!" Vi turn around pushing Caitlyn off her. "I don't need you to just start love bombing me when I'm at my lowest. Just let it be at this point." Vi shot a glare at Caitlyn, one she has never seen before.
"Vi you know I didn't mean it like that come on. Just get back in bed and we can talk about it tomorrow." Caitlyn throws a soft smile at her.
"Enough! I'm going, you stay out of my way got it." Vi said as she buckled her shirt. "Don't come near me nor send your little minions behind me."
Caitlyn had never seen Vi like this, well at least not in a while. The last time she saw her this way was during Vi's little fighting era.
"Violet I'm serious get back to bed and we'll discuss this tomorrow." Caitlyn's voice demanded.
This was the one thing Vi hated more than anything. When Caitlyn uses her commander voice on her. Treating her as if she was some minion of hers.
"Tomorrow never comes Caitlyn! For god sake leave me alone! It's always about you and how you feel but never about me! For once let me do what I want and not what you want for your reputation." Vi finally had it she was heading to the door and suddenly Caitlyn blocked the door.
"Violet are you kidding me?! You only put yourself first in this whole relationship. It's always about you and your sister. You never once put me first. Never! So quit talking like you know what you're doing and saying and just get back to bed." Caitlyn was serious now, this wasn't Vi's Caitlyn anymore this was the Caitlyn that had betrayed Vi long ago.
"If this whole relationship is the issue then we're through. Now get out my way." Vi pushed Caitlyn out the way.
Caitlyn was stunned, the last time they ended thing was because of her. She thought they had gotten through that tough time, but clearly they didn't. As she watched Vi leave and shut the door all she could do was lay on the floor in which Vi had left her. She felt as though her world was just crushed. Is this how she felt back then? Was all that she could think of. She stared at the floor while tears began to form and dropped on the floor. Caitlyn realized she had lost the one thing that truly mattered to her and she couldn't do anything about it.
