Kuroko X Reader - Baby Kicks
Having a baby growing in your body was really hard. Every food you ever loved made you want to vomit, and the only thing you wanted to eat was burgers. You knew that you needed to eat healthier foods, but your body said no to everything else. Your husband tried to make it healthier by putting fresh veggies onto it and by picking the meat with less fat. You were grateful for it, but sometimes you wish you weren’t pregnant.
Another thing that kept happening was you not getting enough sleep. Almost every night you would toss and turn for hours, never comfortable enough. That was the most frustrating thing to you. It made you irritable the next day and it kept going in a vicious cycle. Tonight was no exception. You had just fallen asleep when you jolted awake to pressure on your stomach. Groaning, you threw your arm over your eyes.
“What’s wrong?” Tetsuya asked you, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Is everything okay?”
“I’m fine. The baby’s kicks are keeping me up tonight. Go back to sleep.” Your eyes were closed and when you felt him move on his side of the bed, you thought he was going to sleep. Your surprise was evident when you felt him pull up the hem of your sleep-shirt to reveal your stomach.
“What are you doing?”
“If you think that I’m leaving you uncomfortable, you’re wrong. I read somewhere that rubbing your stomach while pregnant makes the baby happy. Maybe that will make it easier for you to sleep,” he whispered groggily.
“Where did you read that?”
“In a book Kagami gave me. He said that I should read it so I’d actually know what to do with a baby.” You let out a small laugh and reached to play with Kuroko’s hair.
“He’s a goof. You’ll know what to do without the help of a book, don’t worry,” you mumbled fondly. He hummed in response and kissed your belly.
After a few minutes, Kuroko moved so that your head was on his chest. His hand was still rubbing slow, soft circles on your belly. You let out a complacent sigh and grabbed his free hand in yours. He kept going until you were fast asleep, your body having no intention of waking up. Kuroko fell asleep a little while later, hand planted firmly on your stomach, chin on your head.
