George Weasley X Reader - Breaking the News
You hadn’t been feeling well for over a week, and you knew why immediately. Having been through this exact predicament three times prior, you just knew. And the two little lines confirmed your suspicions. You had always wanted a big family but it was too soon after your latest child for your tastes. As you let out a sigh, your husband knocked on the bathroom door.
“You alight in there love? You’ve been in there a while.” You opened the door and handed him the test.
“I know why I’m getting sick,” you said. George looked at it with confusion for a moment before it clicked.
“Wait, are you really pregnant? Again?”
“Well, we didn’t really use a condom these past couple weeks, have we? And whose fault is that?”
“Don’t blame me for you looking so good,” George muttered. You shot him a look and he put his hands up in defense. “Sorry, sorry. I’ll take all the blame. Mom is gonna love it though.”
“I know she will. I just hope it’s a girl this time,” you said. You sat down on the bed and rubbed your knees.
“What, having only boys in the house getting to you?” George teased, sitting down next to you.
“Well, considering that one just turned nine, the other six, and I literally just had a baby a year and a half ago, I am a little tired. But I’ve always wanted a little girl.”
“Here’s to hoping. I’d love a girl too.”
The two of you sat in silence for a while, your head on his shoulder. He was rubbing your back gently. It was peaceful until you decided to break the silence.
“So, how do you think we should tell the kids that they’re getting another sibling?”
“I don’t know. There are some crazy ways to do it now.”
“Some of those are cute. We haven’t done that for any of them before though. And you know Logan. If something didn’t happen for him but for someone else, he’s going to sulk for weeks,” you said.
“Six year olds are crazy, that’s for sure.”
“Don’t let him hear you say that,” you laughed. “Don’t let Alan hear it either. You know he’d relay that to Logan.”
“As always, you are right.” George kissed your nose and stood up. “Just tell them the normal way then? No special stuff?”
“Sure. Sounds good to me. Should we wait until we know that gender or should we tell them now?”
“I don’t know. Maybe we wait? I want to know what it is too.”
“Alright. So we wait then break the news. I want the kids to know first then we can tell your family. Does that sound okay?”
“Sounds lovely,” George said. “Now, let’s go and start looking stuff up online.”

“So we have some news for you guys!” You said to your sons, three months later. They looked at you with expectant faces.
“You guys are going to have a new sibling in six months,” George said.
Alan looked ecstatic, Logan was a little excited, and Nick looked happy.
“Wait, so I’m going to have another brother?” Alan asked.
“Who said anything about it being a boy? You guys are going to have a little sister!” The room burst into chaos, but you couldn’t care less. You were as happy as you could be, even if your kids were not.
