Yoonchae looks up from her phone and nods to Sophia. Sophia turns towards her computer and starts typing in the codes to disarm the security system. The clicking of her keyboard is the only sound in the room as Yoonchae and Manon look at her working.
Sophia her role is crucial in this mission. If she fails to disarm the security system before Megan, Daniela, and Lara enter, the alarm will go off, causing more soldiers to come to the beach house. They won't have the advantage because it will be 3 versus however many more soldiers.
Yoonchae looks at Megan and Daniela their trackers and sees that they're close to the entrance of the beach house.
"How much longer until the alarm system is disarmed?" Manon asks Sophia, who is frantically typing on the keyboard.
"Not much longer. Just need to...yes. It's disabled."
"Disabled?" Yoonchae asks.
"Yeah. I figured they could just turn the alarm back on if I disarmed it, so I disabled the entire system." Sophia explains.
Manon places a hand on Sophia's shoulder. Sophia smiles and turns around to start typing again.
"What are you doing now?" Yoonchae asks, suspicious of Sophia's actions.
"Hacking into the cameras. We can't let him know they're here. He always has millions of back up plans, and they're never good for the enemy."
"Good thinking."
Suddenly a voice sounds from the secure phone in Yoonchae's hand.
"How are things with the alarm?" Lara asks quietly.
"It's disabled. You may proceed," Yoonchae says reassuringly.
"Copy that." Lara answers confidently.

Location: beach in the Philippines
After Lara received the green light to continue the plan, she gets up from the bushes, still on guard. She grips her knife, the familiar feel helping soothe her nerves. Normally she would just walk through without a care in the world, but Megan's plea still fresh in her mind. Never before has Megan shown such vulnerability in front of her, and Lara can't seem to forget Megan's expression before she left.
As Lara enters the house, she puts all thoughts of Megan away and carefully heads to the first floor, where the target is supposedly hiding. She sees the stairs and she takes slow steps, the knife still gripped tightly in her hand.
She pauses for a second. It's eerily quiet. She should have heard some sort of noise the moment she walked through the door, but she hadn't heard a thing. When she finally makes it up the stairs, she sees bodies lying around as expected, but they look different than she thought they would be.
Daniela uses a dagger, and Megan uses blade nun chucks. But these soldiers were shot. There was someone else. But who could it be? What happened to Megan and Daniela? She looks through the hallways and it's quiet on both sides, until a grunt is heard from behind the last door down the hall. Lara walks towards it while hoping her friends are okay. When she stands in front of the door, she kicks it down and holds up her knife.
The first thing she sees is Daniela and Megan tied up with tape over their mouths, sitting at opposite sides of the room. In between them lies the dead body of Lara's target. Shot through the chest, just like the soldiers in the hallway. She looks at Daniela, and Daniela signals with her eyes that someone's behind the door.
Lara turns her knife over in her hand and takes a step to the left so that there's some distance between her and the door. There's no movement for a while until the person behind the door closes it and points their gun to Lara's head. Nothing could have prepared Lara for what she saw. It's Yunjin. Her clothes are ragged and she looks like she hasn't slept for some time with the bags under her eyes.
"What? Didn't expect to see me here?" Yunjin laughs at Lara's dumbfounded expression.
"I thought you were dead," Lara says.
"Me too, but I had the bad luck to live on with nothing to my name. So here's how things will go: you will transfer 10 million dollars over to my account so I can rebuild my empire, and I might let your friends live."
"What makes you think I have that kind of money?" Lara asks, genuinely curious.
"You're the daughter of a rich businessman and the only spy in Katseye, for which you must get quite a hefty salary."
"Touché."
Yunjin walks over to Megan and grips her hair as she places the gun against her temple.
"Transfer the money. Now."
"I will if you can guarantee that they'll be unharmed."
Yunjin lets go of Megan's hair and nods.
"A verbal guarantee," Lara says sternly.
"Fine. I guarantee that after you transfer the money, your friends will not be harmed," Yunjin says reluctantly.
Lara takes out her phone and goes on the banking app. Yunjin gives her the bank account number and Lara sends the money over to the account. After the transfer is confirmed, Lara shows the proof of transfer to Yunjin. Yunjin laughs and drops the gun from Megan's head. She walks towards the door but before walking out, she taps Lara's cheek, causing Lara to flinch slightly.
Yunjin walks out the door feeling victorious, but she makes a big mistake. She turned her back to a very dangerous woman, and she'd pay the price. Lara throws the knife and it lands on the left side of Yunjin's chest. The redhead falls down on her face, Lara takes her gun, and shoots her in the head to make sure she's eliminated.
After dealing with Yunjin, Lara helps Megan and Daniela cut free from their restraints.
"What the hell happened? She should not have been able to do that to two highly trained fighters like you guys. I was so worried-" Lara rambles, but is cut off by Megan's index finger on her lips.
"It's okay, we're okay. We decided to go along with her to find out what she wanted, and how she found out about us being here," Daniela says with a knowing smile on her face, looking at the two girls who are staring at each other.
"Oh. T- that makes sense." Lara says shakily while nodding after Megan drops her hand. They stare at each other for quite some time, until Daniela interrupts them with the clearing of her throat.
"Love what's happening here, but we have to go. Now." She says as she gestures between Megan and Lara.
"Right, let's go," Megan says flustered.
"Yeah."

~1 day later~
Location: Headquarters living room
After the mission ended successfully, Lara, Daniela, and Megan immediately hopped on a plane back to Los Angeles. They arrive today, and the girls who stayed back home are currently on the couch, waiting for them to return.
"They made it out safely, right?" Sophia asks Yoonchae, worried.
"They did. But Lara told me there were some complications that they'll brief us on when they come home," Yoonchae answers.
Manon places a reassuring hand on Sophia's thigh and squeezes slightly.
"Don't worry, love. They'll come back unscathed, trust me. These girls are very strong and know how to make it out of every situation," Manon says reassuringly.
Just after Manon finishes her sentence, the door opens with a bang.
"We're back~" Daniela sings happily.
She runs over to Yoonchae who stands up and gives her a big hug. She waves towards Sophia and Manon, before bolting up the stairs towards her room. Megan and Lara walk through the door, and the girls are shocked to see them holding hands and giggling.
Normally, they wouldn't think much of it, but it's the way they smile at each other that makes them think twice about what's going on between them. Megan and Lara greet everyone with hugs, before going up to their rooms as well.
"Will we get that briefing anytime soon, you think?" Yoonchae asks Manon.
Manon smiles.
"I wouldn't count on it."
