a shitty morning
As Izuku sat eating his breakfast that Saturday morning he dreaded when his mom would come downstairs. He knew what conversation he would be forced to have. He knew he would be forced to talk about his marriage with Ochako Uraraka. She was pretty, no doubt, but Izuku didn't know her. He also had no interest in getting married.
He heard the steps come down the stairs and sighed “Izuku my baby, you're growing up so fast, getting married just this October!” his mother said with delight. Izuku sighed before stating “No, no I'm not” he knew there was no choice but he wanted to deny it.
His mothers smile faltered, "Izuku I know you don't want to but I need you to!” she said raising her voice a bit at the end Izuku got up and rinsed his bowl in the sink not bothering to look at her or respond “Izuku look at me” she said irritated but Izuku couldn't bring himself to he began to walk past her.
Inko grabbed Izuku's arm “Look at me Izuku, do it for me” she said with a smile as her nails dug into his arm. Izuku pulled his arm away “I know we have to talk about it so talk” he said blandly as he walked into the living room to sit down followed by his mother Inko.
They sat across from each other Izuku in a fancy recliner chair and Inko on the couch. Inko took a deep breath, her eyes looking to the floor. “Well hunny, you know your brother shigaraki, I know we don't speak about him but I just don't want you to end up like him” she said in an ashamed but stern voice. His mother had kicked Shigaraki out about 4 years ago. Shigaraki was 17 when he came out to their mother, shigaraki was 17 when he was kicked out of their house and not allowed to speak to izuku again. Inko claimed he would infect him. Izuku was 12 and didn't really understand fully but understood he no longer had his brother.
Izuku looked at his mother, he understood what happened that day now that he was older. He didn't understand how she could kick her child out over something as little as who he loves. He looked at her a little angry “You are making me marry her, so I don't turn out gay?” He said somewhat in disbelief. Inko looked him in the eyes now. “Do you really want to be a faggot like him?” she asked and izuku couldn't believe what he was hearing. His own mother was saying this to him. He also did not understand why she thought he was gay. He was very much straight.
He took a drink of his water bottle as his mother stated “I see the way you look at Shoto” she said it with anger. Izuku was shocked and spat out his water on the hardwood floor. “I do not like Shoto, you sound insane” he said standing up confused on why she thought that. Inko refused to look him in the eyes. Inko took a deep breath before saying “clean up this water and get to school, you will meet Uraraka in may” she said it so playing like it was common. She then stood up and left the room leaving Izuku standing alone, shocked and confused.
Izuku looked at the water on the floor, he was upset with his mother but knew if he didnt clean up the water he would be in trouble. He grabbed a towel and began to dry the floor. He couldn't help but cry, he was so stressed about everything. He was only 17 yet here he was being forced into marriage because his mother assumed he was gay. Like what the hell was up with that, and with todoroki. His tears dried because he was honestly more angry now.
He set the towel on the dining room table on his way out of the house. He stepped into his car and turned it on “shit” he mumbled as he looked at the gas gauge. Looks like his morning was off to a great start with barely any gas, and the ‘Your gay’ talk from his mom. As he drove to the gas station he wondered what his brother was doing about now. Was he happy? Did he have a boyfriend? So much he didn't know, so much he wished he did. He didn't even know if his brother was alive. That thought made him sad so he ignored it.
As he pulled into the gas station he realized he only had cash on him, he left his card at home. Izuku may be loaded but he refused money from his mother most of the time. He knew he wouldn't make it in life if he just lived off her. He had a job, sure he was just a texas roadhouse waiter but that's ok because it was only 5 miles from his house and money was good.
As he walked into the gas station he waved to the register worker. He decided to grab a cold Starbucks coffee from the fridges. He was disappointed to learn they were out ‘Just great, what an amazing morning’ he thought as he dealt with the third fourth disappointment of today and it wasn't even 8am. He graded two white monsters before walking up to the register. He was met with a tall blonde man with small red highlights. He has jeans with grey t shirt and his name tag that said Hudson.(this is hawks chat) he also wore a hat that said ‘Endeavour 2024’ that made Izuku cringe. He knew that man's son. He should never be president.
Izuku paid for 25 in gas and his drinks and left to go pump gas. He sighed as he got back into his car after pumping gas. He looked to the ceiling of his car and sighed. Why was life so fucking stupid. He looked down at the time, it read 7:45 so he drove off the school which started at 8.
