Chapter 82
Shanks have been chilling and relaxing on the deck of his ship, The red force, when he got the daily mail from the news coo. And it was all the normal jazz, the newspaper, bounty posters, magazines and all that jazz.
But he was currently staring down at one particular magazine, and he was pretty sure he was about to have a heart attack, a Stroh, and an aneurysm all at the same time. But Luffy is on the front cover of A particular magazine that is known for their… you could say not family friendly cover photos. These type of magazine covers are never… you could say… innocent nor family friendly.
And this cover is no exception.
At all.
SUMMARY^1: Shanks receives a magazine that features a risque cover with Luffy on it, which causes him concern due to its inappropriate nature, especially given Luffy's young age and their relationship.
And Luffy’s not alone in the magazine cover. No, she’s got some company. A pirate named Killer, who is apparently the right-hand man of the Captain of the Kid Pirates, Killer. One the magazine cover Luffy and Killer are dressed in their usual attire. Luffy in Long sleeve red button up with none of the buttons button, with nothing but a red Bikini top underneath it, with ripped jeans short shorts with frayed edges and the strawhat Pirates Jolly Roger embroidered on the pockets, and her iconic straw hat with a red hatband, and sandals. And Killer in a blue t-shirt with his customized Jolly Roger on. a blue slash, jeans, black dress shoes, his outfit is very simple, but it shows off every single last muscle on his body. They were both dressed and their usual attire except Killer had his captain’s Eustass Kid’s large red fur coat over his bare shoulders, the fur coat cuddling around him and the chair he was sitting on as if it was molten lava. And Luffy was wearing The Surgeon Of Death’s Jacket.
And surprisingly in the magazine Killer’s not wearing his metal helmet? Mask? Thing? That usually hides his entire and head from view. And he’s pretty to say the least. His blonde shaggy hair frames his face perfectly, he has perfect, thick, long blonde eyelashes, bright crystal blue eyes, a blonde goatee, and plump purple painted lips that look like a perfect plum. But what takes the cake is the position Luffy and Killer are in.
On the magazine cover Killer is sitting in a chair, leaning back as Luffy straddles his lap. Killer’s hands under Luffy’s Long sleeve red button up with none of the buttons button, his hands filling up her back. And Luffy’s hand up under Killer’s shirt, her hands cupping and squeezing his meaty and muscular pecs. Both Luffy and Killer’s mouths are open wide, and their tongues are sticking out as they lick cake off each other‘s tongue, smirking at each other and their eyes locked as they do so.
The cover line reads, "Strawhat Luffy & The Murder, Machine, The Massacre Soldier, Kamazo the Manslayer, Killer: The Sweet & Savage Alliance!”
Shanks looked utterly and completely miffed, bamboozled, scandalized, and every other word in the book that could describe someone's reaction to seeing their pseudo-daughter, the youngest and most carefree of the Four Emperors, sprawled across a pirate magazine cover in a not-so-innocent embrace with one of the most feared pirates in the sea. The crimson pirate's grip tightened around the magazine, his knuckles turning white with each passing second. He had known Luffy was a handful since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, but this? This was something else entirely.
Shanks' eyes narrowed as he scanned the cover, the title alone was enough to make his blood boil. "The Sweet & Savage Alliance"? He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He knew Luffy was friendly and had formed a peculiar bond with two of the other Supernovas, Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law, but this was a whole new level of camaraderie. He flipped through the pages, expecting to find an article detailing their latest escapade or perhaps an interview that would shed some light on this ludicrous situation, but there was nothing. Just the normal spiel that is in the pirate magazines, clothing you could order, more pictures of famous and up-and-coming pictures, ships, treasures, and all that kind of stuff. The only thing about Luffy and Killer was the Cover photo and that was it.
Shanks took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. He had seen Luffy in some precarious situations before, but this was definitely a new low for the girl he considered his own daughter. The way she was dressed, the suggestive pose, and the fact that she was on the cover of a magazine known for its 18+ content was not something he ever wanted to see associated with her. He knew that Luffy was not naive or innocent, but she was still a kid in his eyes, and he didn't want her to be objectified in such a way.
