Chapter 18

“Hey, Kid.” Killer calls out as he walks into the mess hall of the Kid pirates pirate ship The Victoria Punk, a newspaper in one hand and a bounty poster in the other. “I think I may have just found the love of your life on a bounty poster.”

The room quiets down immediately as all eyes turn to Eustass Kid, the captain, who is known for his fiery temper and unpredictable mood swings. He raises an eyebrow, his piercing orange eyes narrowing. “What makes you say that, Killer?” he asks, his voice a mix of curiosity and annoyance.

Killer chuckled as he looked at the bounty post. “No, I think I’m completely right. This chick has a bounty of 90,000,00 berries, and she hasn’t even left the East blue yet. And, she’s a fucking smoke show.”

The room erupted in murmurs as the crew leaned in to get a better look at the poster. The poster read "Wanted. Dead Or Alive: Monkey D. Luffy" and the bounty was written in a large, bold number that could make any pirate's heart flutter with excitement: 90,000,000 berries.

The bounty poster was of a young woman with thick, nape length jet black curly hair, dark brown eyes that were almost black, her skin was so tan It looked like she had been kissed by the sun. And in the bounty poster she was sitting in a chair, A chair that suspiciously looked like Arlong’s thrown at Arlong park. Her legs were crossed, and she was looking off to the side with a serene expression, and a slightly melted popsicle in his hand. She was dressed in a dress that was made out of a fine silk and mesh spaghetti strap mini dress, the dress was a skin tight fine silk dress showing off her curbs and clinging to her body. The dress had Tiger print mesh over it, the Tiger print cutting diagonal to show off half of the black part of the dress underneath while the other half it the Tiger print, with The Tiger print going further down in the black part of the dress making a little flowy tail that fluttered in the wind. The dress was short, stopping right at her mid thigh. She had black and Orange kitten heels to match her dress, with bangle bracelets, rings, a necklace, and earrings. She was still wearing her iconic straw hat, but it didn’t make her outfit any less feminine. She even put on makeup. A gradient of glittery dark brown to a glittery burnt orange eyeshadow on her lids, eyeliner, mascara, light blush, and a nude lipstick with lipgloss over top of it.

In the bounty poster on the ground beside her Arlong lay sprawled out, looking like he just went through a meat grinder, then got hit head on by a freight train, then went through the meat grinder again, then was left in the sun to bake. His arm was bent at a disturbing angle and his teeth were knocked out, leaving only a few jagged pieces sticking out from his gums. And his scales looked bruised.

The crew members of the Kid Pirates crowded around the poster, their eyes wide with amazement and a touch of fear. They had heard tales of the notorious Monkey D. Luffy, the pirate who had single-handedly taken down several infamous pirates in such a short time. The fact that she had managed to amass such a high bounty without even leaving the East Blue was astonishing.

Kid, unable to resist his curiosity, snatched the poster from Killer's hand. His gaze lingered on the figure of Luffy, dressed in such a provocative yet oddly charming manner. Despite her youthful and innocent appearance, the aura of power surrounding her was undeniable. "Ninety million berries..." he murmured, his eyes scanning the list of her defeated foes. "Iron Mace Alvida, Buggy the Pirate, Axe-Hand Morgan, Captain Kuro, Don Krieg, and Arlong... This girl is something else."

The crew exchanged glances, a mix of admiration and trepidation. They had seen what their own captain was capable of, but Luffy's reputation was growing by leaps and bounds. The thought of such a formidable opponent, was both intriguing and slightly intimidating.

Kid's eyes lit up with a fiery determination, his mind racing with thoughts of battles and glory. "Ninety million, you say?" he repeated, stroking his chin. "A pirate of such caliber, and she's just seventeen? I'd love to test my strength against her." He chuckled, his teeth flashing in the dim light of the mess hall. "Bring me that newspaper, Killer. Let's see what else there is to know about this... 'love of my life'."

The crew members looked at each other and grinned, knowing their captain's penchant for dramatic flair. They knew that the mention of a challenge was all it took to spark his interest. The room buzzed with excitement as Killer handed over the newspaper, and kid began to read it aloud. “Monkey D. Luffy, a Young woman that has barely sent off on her pirate journey less than a month ago and she’s already taken down Iron Mace Alvida, Buggy The Pirate, Axe-Hand Morgan, Captain Kuro, Don Krieg, and Arlong earning herself a whopping 90,000,000 berries bounty. Her crew, which the people of the East blue have started lovingly calling The Strawhat pirates, are just a mirror 4 people, 5 if you’re counting their Captain, Luffy, herself. Her first meet, The Demon Roronoa Zoro The Pirate Hunter, her navigator Nami, her Sharp shooter Ussop, and her Cook Blackleg Sanji.”

Kid's eyes glinted as he listened, his mind racing with possibilities. He had always enjoyed a good fight, and this Luffy seemed to be a worthy opponent. “Huh, A Pirate Hunter as a first mate, huh? This chick’s fucking crazy. I love it!” He roared with laughter, slapping the table so hard it echoed through the ship. The crew of the Victoria Punk shared in his amusement, their excitement growing by the second.

The newspaper article continued, detailing Luffy’s unconventional style of fighting and her unyielding spirit. Her Devil Fruit power, the Gum-Gum Fruit, allowed her to stretch her body to absurd lengths and gave her the strength to match some of the toughest pirates in the sea. Her carefree nature and boundless optimism had earned her a small but fiercely loyal crew, each with their own incredible abilities.

Kid's grin grew wider as he listened, his imagination conjuring up images of the battles she must have fought. He couldn't wait to set sail and cross paths with this infamous young captain. "We're heading to the Grand Line, right?" he said, looking around the table at his own crew, who nodded in unison. "Then let's make it our mission to find this 'Straw Hat' Luffy. I want to see what she's made of with my own eyes!"

The crew of the Victoria Punk erupted in cheers, fueled by the promise of adventure and the thrill of a challenge. They were the notorious Kid Pirates, each with bounties that would make lesser pirates tremble. Killer, his right-hand man and childhood friend, shared a knowing smirk with him. They had faced many strong opponents together, but none quite like this mysterious girl with the ludicrous bounty.
