First real date
Momo felt a lot of emotions at that moment. She was relieved to know that the girl Sana was going to date was a nice person. She unexpectedly had a lot of fun with the girl. Yuri was truly good at making people feel comfortable with her. However, the biggest emotion she felt at that moment was sadness. She could imagine Yuri making Sana happy in the future. Was she jealous? No, she was just sad. She was sad that she would never be the reason behind Sana's smiles. (That was just what she thought.)
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Sana asked as she was laying her head on Momo's chest. Ever since Momo came home, Sana had become very clingy towards her. She never left Momo's side to the point where she asked Momo to let her sleep with her. Momo didn't understand what was wrong with her best friend, but she didn't mind it. She was actually happy that Sana was with her at that time. It reminded her that she still had Sana by her side. She hadn't lost the girl she loved yet.
"I'm thinking about the dogs you're going to get and the garden you're going to tend in the future. I hope your future partner will help you take care of them," Momo replied as she stared blankly at the ceiling of her room.
Sana looked up to get a better look at Momo's face. She stared at her friend in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
Momo looked down and their eyes met. She smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes. "You said you wanted to adopt dogs and have a garden behind your house."
"Not just me, but us. That's our future plan." Sana narrowed her eyes. She searched for something in Momo's eyes, but all she could find were just unreadable emotions. "Why did you suddenly remember that?"
"Because I think you'll get a girlfriend soon. You'll have a future with her. I just hope you can make all your dreams come true with her."
Sana pinched Momo's stomach in an instant and earned an 'ouch' from the latter. "They're all our dreams! We are the ones who will make them come true, not other people," she grumbled while pouting.
"Yeah, those are our dreams if we both end up not marrying anyone," Momo replied. Her voice was barely above a whisper. She averted her eyes from Sana sadly.
Sana climbed on top of Momo. She put both of her forearms on the latter's sides and propped her body up so that there was a little distance between her body and Momo's. "Let's not talk about it anymore or.." She trailed off as she leaned her face forward. They could both feel each other's breath. "Is this your way of saying that you'll get a girlfriend or boyfriend soon? Are you saying this because you can't make our dreams come true in the future?" She raised an eyebrow. There was something in her eyes that screamed anger.
Momo returned her gaze to Sana and stared at her in disbelief. “W-what? How did you come to that conclusion?”
“You went on a date. You can’t lie to me.” Sana rested her chin on Momo’s chest. “You wouldn’t put that much effort into dressing up if you were just going to meet someone.”
Momo rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. "Are you still thinking about that? Are you jealous that I'm probably seeing someone now?"
Sana buried her face in Momo's chest and slammed her fists on the bed. "Yeah, I'm jealous! I'm jealous because it means you'll forget about me again!" she said, her voice muffled by Momo's shirt. "You'll only have eyes for the person you're dating. You'll forget about me again.." she mumbled as her shoulders slumped.
When have I ever forgotten about you, Sana? There's never a moment where you're not on my mind, Momo wished she had the courage to say that, but she was too afraid to ruin what they had now. So instead, she just wrapped her arms around Sana and hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry about what happened in the past. I never meant to make you feel left out. I never thought of replacing you with Dahyun." Momo gently ran her fingers through Sana's hair. "I promise it won't happen again." She kissed the top of her head and smiled. "I promise I'll never forget about you, Sana."
"You sound so cheesy." Sana giggled as she lightly pinched Momo’s sides. She then raised her head and rested her chin back on the latter's chest. “You know, I feel bad for Dahyun because sometimes I associate her with bad memories. She was actually a nice kid and I can understand why you liked her so much back then.”
"Yeah, I did really like her." Momo gave a tight-lipped smile. There was actually a 'but' in that sentence, but she would never say it out loud to Sana. Her best friend didn't need to know her unspoken words, her unspoken feelings. "And I wish I never broke her heart. I wish we were still friends."
"You know she still wanted to be your friend in the end, but you just cut off all ties with her."
"I would keep hurting her if I didn't do that. She wouldn't move on from me. I didn't want to be selfish by keeping her as my friend." Sana could see the glint in Momo's eyes. There were tears she was holding back.
Sana propped herself up on her elbows and brought both her hands to Momo's cheeks. She then carressed them gently and gave a reassuring smile. "You're selfless as always, Momo. That's what I love about you."
"Am I?" Momo looked into Sana's eyes with a hint of doubt. She never thought of herself as selfless. She always had a selfish side that she kept hidden. That side always had something to do with Sana.
"Yes, you are." Sana looked back into Momo's eyes and there was a growing tension between them that they tried to ignore. "If I were you, I would have texted her and asked her to be my friend again."
Momo snorted and broke the eye contact in the process. The growing tension between them instantly dissipated. "She already did that just now."
Sana just stared at Momo blankly. It took her a few seconds to process those words. "Wait, Dahyun texted you? Just now? Not some time ago?" She gaped at that information. "But why? I thought she gave up on texting you. You never texted her back after you broke up. Why is she texting you again?"
"I ran into her earlier and she suddenly asked me to hang out with her." Momo averted her eyes sadly. "I couldn't say no because the way she looked at me.. I don't know why, but it made me feel guilty. So, I told her to text me." She turned her gaze back to Sana and locked eyes with the latter. "Now she wants us to be friends again, but I'm still not sure about that. So, I need your opinion. What do you think, Sana? Is it a good idea? To be friends with her again?" She was conflicted. There was a part of her that wanted to reconnect with Dahyun, but there was also a part of her that said she didn't deserve to be friends with the latter again. What if Dahyun hadn't really moved on from her?
Sana did say she felt bad for Dahyun, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t have a nagging feeling when she heard Momo wanted to be friends with their junior again. The jealousy she once had came back to the surface, but she quickly pushed it down. She had to trust her best friend. She had to trust that Momo wouldn’t make her feel left out again, wouldn’t forget about her again. So there was nothing else she could do but support what Momo wanted.
"Are you afraid that she still hasn't moved on from you?" Honestly, Sana was afraid of that too, but she wouldn't say it out loud. That was the selfish part of her that she wouldn't show to Momo. It wasn't that she didn't want to show it. She just thought the latter wouldn't want to see it. She thought Momo wouldn't want to see the fact that her own best friend could see her as more than a friend. (Sana came to that conclusion after all her advances were treated as jokes.)
"Honestly, yes.. I don't want to give her false hopes. I just want to be friends with her, nothing more."
Sana knew that she was being selfish by being glad that Momo didn't want to be more than friends with Dahyun, but she couldn't control her feelings. She was relieved that at least Momo didn't want to get back with her ex. "Make it clear to her from the start that you just want to be friends and then you can judge her reaction. If she's fine with it, I don't think there's anything wrong with you being friends again," she replied with a smile. She tried her best to be supportive.
"Okay then. I'll try talking to her." Sana could see that Momo was happy to hear her answer. If Momo was happy, she should be happy too, right? Yeah, she should be happy too. (But her feelings said otherwise. That nagging feeling was still there even though she had pushed it down to the bottom.)
—————————
Jeongyeon said that her idea was ridiculous, but she thought it was brilliant. Jeongyeon said that it would scare her date off, but she believed that her date would be excited with what she prepared. Who was right in the end? Sana would reveal the answer soon.
"W-what?" Sana's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open when she saw the scene in the back of Nayeon's car. She didn't see any back seats there. Instead, she saw a mattress covered with a sheet and several pillows on top. She didn't understand what this meant. "W-why is there a mattress here?"
Nayeon lowered her head and scratched the back of her head nervously. "I told you that this is going to be a car date. We'll be spending a lot of time in the car. You'll probably get tired because of that. So, I prepared a mattress for you to rest on.." She trailed off as she raised her head back. "Is this too much?" She started to think about Jeongyeon's words. Maybe what her best friend said was true.
Sana was silent for a few beats and Nayeon was getting more nervous. She thought she had made a big mistake for their first date, but that thought was instantly dispelled when she saw Sana's face slowly light up. "Oh my god, this is so cool! I've always wanted to try something like this. This is a great idea for a date!"
I knew it! Nayeon thought as she mentally patted her own back. She would brag about this to Jeongyeon later. "Thank god, you didn't think this was a weird idea. My best friend kept saying that it was ridiculous. I'm glad you didn't think that way," she said as she sat down in the driver's seat and closed the car door. Sana mirrored her actions.
"I can understand why your best friend would think that way. I mean.." Sana trailed off while putting on her seatbelt. Nayeon put on her seatbelt as well. "It's only our first date and you already expect to sleep with me." She chuckled.
“W-what are you talking about?” Nayeon was taken aback. Her whole face started to turn red and hot. “I-I didn’t expect something like that!”
“Oh, really?” Sana raised an eyebrow and gave a disbelieving look. “So, you’re just going to sit in the driver’s seat and watch me sleep in the back?”
"W-well, of course I'd like to lie down next to you if that's okay with you. B-but that doesn't mean I want to sleep with you—" Nayeon realized that her words could be misinterpreted. "I-it doesn't mean I don't want to sleep with you either. I want to sleep with you, but—" She instantly slammed her forehead against the steering wheel. She felt like a pervert at that moment. "I-I mean I didn't ask you out because I wanted to sleep with you. I brought this mattress because I purely wanted to—"
Sana giggled as she slowly pulled Nayeon away from the steering wheel. Nayeon then turned her head to Sana with a blushing face. "You're so cute right now." Sana pinched Nayeon's right cheek lightly. "We haven't even done anything yet, but I already want to kiss your cheek." She giggled again.
"Stooooppp." Nayeon whined cutely. She furrowed her eyebrows, puckered her lips, and crossed her arms. "I should be the one making you blush, not the other way around."
"You've done that on our previous 'dates'. Now it's my turn to see your blushing face." Sana giggled as she held Nayeon's right arm and caressed it gently with her thumb. "Shall we start our date and see how red I can make your face?" she said teasingly as she tilted her head.
Nayeon gasped and pretended to be offended. "Are you challenging me? Do you want to see who will have the reddest face at the end of this date?" She uncrossed her arms and put both of her hands on the steering wheel. "Okay, two can play the game." She huffed before starting the car and driving down the street.
"Okay then. Let's see who is gonna win." Sana smirked playfully before turning her gaze back to the road ahead.
They started their date and their first destination was Nayeon's favorite drive thru coffee shop. It should have been a good start, having a cup of coffee before starting their long trip. However, no one expected that they would have their first fight in a coffee shop. Well, not really a fight, but..
"Let me pay for our coffee. You can pay for the others later," Nayeon said while trying to free her arm from Sana's grip.
"No, no. I'll pay for it. You've done your part on this date by planning it. Now let me do mine, which is spending my money for our date," Sana replied while holding Nayeon's arm with her left hand and searching for her card in her purse with her right hand.
"Are you kidding me? I'm the one who should pay for everything because I planned this. There's no way I'm letting you pay for anything on this date." Nayeon tried to stop Sana with her free hand.
"You won't let me pay for anything? You said I could pay for others later!"
"Yeah, you can pay for others later, but let me pay for our coffee, okay?" Nayeon was lying. She wouldn't let Sana spend any of her money during their date.
Their bickering continued for a few minutes until the car behind them honked and startled them. The drive thru operator then asked them to hurry up and pay. They ended up paying for the coffee with Sana's money because Nayeon was too slow in giving her card.
"I'll pay next, okay?" Nayeon said with a pout.
Sana poked Nayeon’s cheek with a giggle. “I won’t let you do that.” Nayeon whined cutely. “Besides, there’s no way you’re going to pay for this one.”
"What do you mean?" Nayeon took a glance at Sana before returning her gaze to the road.
"Can we stop by a shop before we go to our next destination? I'd like to pick up something."
Nayeon still didn't get what Sana was talking about, but she just went with the flow. "Sure, no problem."
—————————
Momo chose to meet up with Dahyun on the same day Sana went on her date. Her reason? She needed a distraction from the fact that the girl she loved was going on a date with someone else. It sounded pathetic, hanging out with her own ex as a distraction, but what other options did she have?
"You seem distracted, unnie. What's going on?" Dahyun had been talking to her for a few minutes, but she couldn't register anything. Her mind was constantly full. She kept thinking about Sana, about their date, and about.. Yuri? No, scratch the last one. She kept wondering if they were having fun, if Sana had thought about her for a second, and if Yuri still remembered her..? No, scratch the last one again. Why was Yuri on her mind too?
"Unnie, are you thinking about your girlfriend right now?" Dahyun grinned playfully as she poked Momo's hand that was on the table.
With that, Momo snapped out of her trance and instantly gave a confused look. "G-girlfriend? What are you talking about?"
"So, you're not thinking about your girlfriend?" Dahyun raised an eyebrow while repeatedly tapping the table with her index finger.
Momo furrowed her eyebrows. "Why do you think I have a girlfriend?"
“Because I saw you going on a date with your girlfriend a few days ago?” Dahyun tilted her head slightly and looked at Momo in confusion. “Oh! You guys aren’t official yet, are you?”
"Huh?" Momo just blankly stared at Dahyun. It took her a few seconds to realize what the latter was talking about and once she did, her face started to turn red. "Oh god, I wasn't on a date!" She covered half of her face with her hands. "S-she's just my friend." Indeed she was lying at that time, but that lie would soon become the truth once Sana introduced the girl to her.
"Sure, she's just your friend, but your face is saying otherwise." Dahyun giggled teasingly. "You don't have to blush if she's just your friend, unnie." She waggled her eyebrows playfully.
"She is!" Momo moved her hands away from her face and crossed her arms. She gave a pouty look. "I thought you've changed, but it turns out you still like to tease me." She turned her face away from Dahyun and huffed.
"I never changed. At least that part of me that likes to tease you." Dahyun giggled and a few seconds later her giggle turned into a genuine smile. "I miss things like this, unnie."
Momo turned her face back to Dahyun and uncrossed her arms. She then lowered her gaze shyly. "Yeah, me too. Honestly, I miss spending time with you too."
"So, how have you been, unnie?" Dahyun put her elbow on the table and propped her chin up. "Any interesting story you want to tell me?" She raised an eyebrow.
Momo hummed as she leaned back. Her gaze fell on the table in front of her. "Nothing really happened. Just college stuff I guess." She waved her hand dismissively.
"So, does that mean you still haven't confessed your feelings to Sana unnie?" Momo whipped her head sharply towards Dahyun. She was taken aback by that question. "Based on your reaction, I can guess the answer is yes, you haven't."
Momo sighed as she averted her eyes sadly. "I told you I would never do that and you already know why."
"Yeah, I know why, but I think—"
"We don't need to talk about this thing again." Momo cut Dahyun off. "Nothing will change. Nothing." She offered a sad smile.
Dahyun pulled her elbow off the table and looked at Momo sadly. "Okay, let's talk about something else. For example.." she trailed off as she repeatedly tapped her chin. "The girl we were talking about earlier!" Her face suddenly lit up.
"What else do we need to talk about her?" Momo gave a confused look.
"Aw, don't think I'm stupid! I could see the fondness in your eyes when you looked at her. You always gave her dreamy looks!"
Momo instantly choked on her own spit. "Are you kidding me? I don't see her that way—"
"Come on, unnie. You've always kept your feelings for Sana unnie a secret. Are you really going to hide your feelings for this girl too? Are you planning on being single your whole life?"
"I don't have—"
"I was actually planning on asking you out on a double date, but it turns out—"
"Wait, what? A double date?" At that moment, Momo finally realized a lot of things. She just realized that Dahyun was very chill talking about her (potential) love life. She remembered when Dahyun first found out about her feelings for Sana. That was the day she broke up with her. She remembered Dahyun crying every time she mentioned Sana's name in their conversation. But why wasn't Dahyun like that now? Momo finally understood the whole situation after hearing the words 'double date'.
"Dahyun.. are you taken?" Momo held her breath at that moment and she didn't even know why she did that.
"Yes, I am!" Dahyun beamed proudly and Momo finally let out her breath. She was relieved to know that Dahyun had moved on from her. However, it only lasted for a few seconds because Dahyun suddenly dropped an unexpected bomb on her. "And I want to introduce you to my girlfriends soon."
“Girlfriend—s?!” Momo should probably be extra relieved right now, but she was too stunned to feel anything else.
—————————
Nayeon finally understood what Sana was talking about earlier. She understood why she wouldn’t or shouldn’t pay for this even if she wanted to. Sana asked her to take them to a clay figure shop. It turned out that Sana ordered something for her best friend’s birthday, which was tomorrow. Nayeon couldn’t possibly pay for the birthday present and take credit for what Sana prepared for her best friend.
"Does your best friend look like that?" Nayeon asked while pointing at the clay figure in a glass box. The glass box was being wrapped in wrapping paper by the cashier.
"Yes! Cute, right?" Sana giggled.
"Your best friend or the clay figure?" Nayeon got a pinch on her right arm after that. "Ouch!"
"Don't you dare steal my best friend. She's mine!" Sana crossed her arms and frowned.
"I didn't know you were so possessive." Nayeon shook her head with a smile. "But I actually like possessive girls." She put her hand on Sana's hair and started messing it up.
Sana uncrossed her arms and stopped Nayeon's hand. "I'm not possessive!" She gave a pouty look as she took the latter's hand in hers. She then intertwined their fingers "But you better still like me."
"I do. Don't worry." Nayeon brought Sana's hand to her lips and then kissed it. Sana's heart fluttered at that small gesture. It was the first time she felt Nayeon's lips on her skin. There were no more rules holding them back. They could do whatever they wanted at this point.
After the cashier finished wrapping the birthday present, Sana paid for it and they went back to Nayeon's car. They continued their trip again. This time, they went to a small park. It was the park that Nayeon always went to whenever she wanted to find some peace. Usually, there weren't many people visiting the park. It was a perfect place to hang out or—in this case—go on a date.
“Now that we’re on a real date, can I ask you something personal?” Sana asked before slurping her noodles. They were having lunch at that time. This wasn’t actually part of Nayeon’s plan. She was going to take them to a restaurant after walking around the park. However, Sana said she was already starving and couldn’t wait any longer. So, they ended up buying instant noodles from a convenience store for lunch. (This time, Nayeon managed to pay for it.)
"Sure, go ahead." Nayeon took a sip of her noodle soup before turning her face to Sana. She was waiting for the latter's question curiously.
"Why did you choose to work as a rental girlfriend?"
"Oh." Nayeon snorted. "I didn't think you would ask that question so soon." She chuckled before turning her face away again to look into the distance. "My reason was actually simple. I just wanted to piss someone off and that someone was my ex."
"Oh?" Sana tilted her head slightly. She was intrigued by that answer. "And why did you want to piss your ex off?"
Nayeon let out a sigh of annoyance. She looked irritated at the memory. "Because he cheated on me and said the reason was because I couldn't be a good girlfriend. Can you believe that?" She started stabbing her poor innocent noodles. "He said no one would want me because I was so bad at being a girlfriend. So, I got mad and wanted to show him that what he was wrong. Being a rental girlfriend was the only way I could think of."
“And did it work?”
“You think?” Nayeon turned her face back to Sana and smirked smugly. “He started begging me to come back to him after my rental girlfriend career took off. He thought he could use me as a trophy girlfriend to show off to his friends.” She scoffed. “He’s such an idiot.”
"Idiot is an understatement." Sana shook her head before placing her half-empty cup of instant noodles on the bench. "Thank goodness, you already got rid of him."
"Then, what about you? Why did you also choose to be a rental girlfriend?"
Sana lowered her head shyly. "My reason was also simple. Because I needed money? I still need money. That's why I'm still doing this job." She chuckled. "I have an expensive hobby." She started rubbing the back of her neck shyly.
"An expensive hobby?" Nayeon started thinking about all the possibilities. "Don't tell me you like playing games?" That was the first thing she thought of because she also liked playing games.
Sana shook her head and giggled. "Do I need to give you a hint?"
Nayeon held her hand up. "No need, I can already guess." She grinned plafully. "There are only two expensive hobbies that college students like us can have. If it's not gaming, then you must like.." She trailed off as she eyed Sana's purse. "Show me your phone." She held her hand out to Sana.
"What?"
"I want to see your lockscreen. There must be an idol's face on it."
Sana fell silent for a few seconds. She didn't expect Nayeon to guess it that quickly. "Okay, you got me," she said as she took her phone out of her purse. She then showed her lockscreen to Nayeon. "Look at the most beautiful girl—"
"You like Jihyo?!" Nayeon tried to hold back her laughter.
"Why did you react like that?" Sana narrowed her eyes. "Don't tell me you're a Jihyo hater?!" She pointed her index finger at Nayeon. "If you hate Jihyo, I'm sorry but this date has to end now—"
"Hey, hey. I don't hate Jihyo! I'm actually a huge fan of hers." Technically, Nayeon wasn't lying. She was Jihyo's best friend and she automatically became her biggest supporter. "I'm even going to her concert in two weeks."
"You're going to her concert?" Sana's face suddenly lit up. "Oh my god, me too!"
Sana's excitement was contagious. Nayeon also ended up being excited. "Then, do you want to go with me?"
Sana's face suddenly drop a little and Nayeon noticed it. "Ah, I would love to, but I already made a promise with my best friend."
"Oh, okay then." Nayeon was a little disappointed, but it couldn't be helped. "Maybe next time?" She sounded hopeful.
"Yeah, maybe next time." Sana offered a smile.
Nayeon finished the rest of her noodles before setting her cup down on the bench. “Anyway!” She glanced at Sana’s cup of instant noodles. “You’re not going to eat that?”
"I am!" Sana giggled. "I'm just stalling for time. I like this place." She looked around with a smile.
"You're talking to the best rental girlfriend. Of course, she knows a lot of good date spots." Nayeon bragged and Sana lightly hit her arm after that.
"Did you forget who's number one now?" Sana smirked.
Nayeon rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. But it won't last long. I'll take back my rightful place."
"You're so silly, you know." Sana pinched Nayeon's cheek lightly and the latter just gave a pouty look. And that makes me want to kiss you even more, Sana thought to herself.
—————————
"What do you think if I work as a rental girlfriend?" Sana asked while hugging Momo from behind. She then rested her chin on the latter's shoulder.
Momo didn't answer her right away. She cut some scallions first before opening her mouth and speaking. "You'll be a popular rental girlfriend in no time. You already know how girlfriendable you are. Everyone wants to make you their girlfriend."
"Did I hear that right? You said I'm girlfriendable?" Sana whispered in Momo's ear. She then tightened her hug. "Then why don't make me yours?" She giggled.
Those words seemed to have an effect on Momo. She froze after hearing that. Sana thought this was the moment. The moment where Momo finally understood what she had wanted all this time. However, Momo unexpectedly started laughing a few seconds later.
"In your dreams, Sana."
That was the moment where Sana finally decided to become a rental girlfriend. She wanted to show Momo what she had just missed by saying those words. (This was the reason she chose to work as a rental girlfriend out of all the other jobs she could have gotten. She always kept this reason a secret.)
—————————
After visiting random places they found along their trip and having dinner at Nayeon’s favorite sushi restaurant, they finally put the mattress in the back of the car to use. They laid down on the mattress and spent the rest of their time talking about random things. In an hour, Nayeon had to drop Sana off and go to Jeongyeon’s house to celebrate her birthday. Jeongyeon’s birthday was actually a week ago, but they were too busy to celebrate it last week.
“I never thought you were only a year older than me,” Sana said with a giggle. Her gaze was on the ceiling of Nayeon’s car. “I thought you were way much older.”
Nayeon gasped and put her hand on her chest. “Do I look old to you?!” She glared at Sana before returning her gaze to the ceiling. “And how could you say something like this to your own date? Is this your way of saying that you don’t want a second date with me?”
Sana turned her gaze to Nayeon and gave a playful smile. "Oh, you're already thinking about a second date, unnie?"
Nayeon should have felt offended, but instead she felt butterflies in her stomach. Somehow she liked it when Sana called her unnie, especially when Sana used her cute voice. "I-I was. But now I'm having a second thought!" She faked a pout.
Sana slowly moved her body closer to Nayeon and wrapped her arms around the latter's waist. She then put her chin on Nayeon's shoulder. "You don't look old. I just think you look really mature. I actually like mature women like you." She deliberately let her breath hit Nayeon's neck. "They're hot."
Nayeon felt goosebumps on the back of her neck. Her face started to heat up and her heart rate started to pick up. "Oh, don't think you'll get me that easily. I'm still having a second thought!" She still didn't want to give in.
"Oh really?" Sana giggled as she pulled Nayeon closer. "Maybe a kiss could change your mind?" She then quickly kissed Nayeon's cheek. "How about that?"
Oh god, she'll be the death of me, Nayeon thought as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She then turned her head to face Sana and exhaled. Once she opened her eyes again, she found Sana looking into her eyes with great affection. "Damn, you're—"
Sana surged forward and captured Nayeon's lips with her own. It was just a peck. Sana quickly pulled away and giggled after that. "Are you still having a second thought—"
Nayeon swiftly grabbed Sana by the back of her neck and their lips met again within a second. She
moved her lips in a slow motion as if she was dealing with something fragile. Sana kissed her back in a beat and matched her tempo. Their kiss started slow and steady before it turned into a passionate kiss.
"No more second thoughts?" Sana asked breathlessly.
"Oh, shut up." Nayeon grabbed Sana's collar and gave a quick kiss on the lips. "Glad to know your previous clients never got a taste of your lips."
"I'm also glad to know that your past clients will never know how good you are at kissing." Sana rested her forehead on Nayeon's forehead as she smiled from ear to ear. "I give you a five out of five. You're a damn good kisser."
Nayeon slowly shifted her body position until she was on top of Sana. She propped her body up on her forearms. "You win. You gave me a lot of butterflies today. If I turn on the lights right now, I bet you'll see how red my face is." She slowly moved her face closer to Sana's. "Since you won, I'll grant your wish. So, tell me what do you want me to do?" She ran her fingers through Sana's hairs.
"Give me a lot of kisses, please," Sana said in a cute voice as she slowly pulled Nayeon's collar closer.
"Okay, you wish is my command, princess." Nayeon finally closed the distance between them and captured Sana's lips again. Their date ended with a heavy makeout session.
—————————
Nayeon panicked. She should have been at Jeongyeon's house by now, but instead she was in front of Sana's apartment building. Half an hour ago, she had dropped Sana off and was on her way to her best friend's house. But when she was almost there, she realized that Sana forgot to take the birthday present with her. She thought about returning it tomorrow, but she remembered that tomorrow was Sana's best friend's birthday. So, she ended up rushing back to Sana's apartment building as quickly as possible.
"Please pick up your phone, Sana," Nayeon said as she tried to call Sana for the third time.
Ring..
Ring..
Ring..
"Hello?"
"Thank god, Sana! You finally picked up your phone." Nayeon finally let out her breath.
"Who is this?"
"Oh?" Nayeon just realized that the voice she heard wasn't Sana's. "Who are you?"
"I'm Sana's best friend. May I know why you're calling her?"
Oh, so she is Sana's best friend, Nayeon thought to herself. She remembered Sana saying that she lived with her best friend. "I have to talk to Sana now. Is she busy?" She thought she shouldn't mention the birthday present to Sana's best friend because Sana might want to keep this a secret for the surprise.
"She's taking a shower right now."
Dang it! It can't be helped. I have to directly give this thing to her best friend, Nayeon thought as she walked into Sana's apartment building and brought the birthday present. "Then, can you come down to the lobby? I have something to give to Sana right now and I'm in a hurry."
"Hmm.."
Nayeon was getting more and more anxious.
"Okay."
Nayeon felt a little relieved after that. She then waited in front of the elevator while looking at the floor indicator whose numbers changed every few seconds. The floor indicator showed that the elevator cabin was moving down. She hoped that Sana's best friend was in the elevator cabin.
Ding!
The elevator cabin reached the lobby floor and the elevator doors slowly opened. Nayeon found that there was only one person inside. That someone was a girl who looked so familiar to her. I think I've seen this girl before, Nayeon thought as she observed the girl from head to toe.
"Yuri?" Oh right, Nayeon remembered this girl. There was no way she could forget her. She was the girl Nayeon found so pretty when she smiled.
I think you should smile more. Nayeon remembered saying those words to this girl.
However..
If one day we cross paths again, please pretend today never happened. She also remembered this girl saying those words to her.
