Going Backwards?

The next morning everyone slept in a little. It was Saturday and finally they can relax some as they had no plans at all for that day. Harry was hoping he could get started with his Arithmancy and Ancient Runes and was hoping to just have a quiet day, but when does Harry ever get what he wants. When they first got up they all went to the great hall for breakfast and Harry noticed that Draco was no longer speaking to him. He tried to speak to Draco but then Draco would just turn his head around and pretend not to have heard anything. It broke Harry’s heart. All the Slytherins noticed Draco’s actions and weren’t sure what to do regarding Harry now. Was he still to be part of the Slytherin family or is he to be dismissed? Things were getting complicated for Harry once more.

After breakfast, everyone went to grab their school things and to meet up in the library to study together. Harry thought he was invited as well so he grabbed his things from their room and met up with everyone in the library ready to do schoolwork along with everyone else. Unfortunately with the way Draco has been acting everyone else decided he wasn’t welcome.

“But I need to stay close to Draco. Snape is who knows where and Draco is the only other one that can help with the pain I get when I’m away from them. Theo, you also said you’d help me with my potion’s homework, and Draco you promised to help me catch up with Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. Please guys, please don’t do this.”

“Sorry Potter, but obviously something came up and Draco is no longer available and I’m friends with Draco so I can no longer help you either. Just sit at that table and you should be close enough.”

Theo showed a table a couple feet away and just left him there to study on his own. Harry couldn’t believe it. He was alone once again. He didn’t know just what to do and was staring over at the other table as everyone was chatting and laughing and just seeming to be having fun together.

Then someone sat in front of him.

“Hello. You seem to be having a Wrackspurt infestation. Would you like me to help you get rid of them?”

Harry looked up and saw a pretty, young, blonde haired, silver eyed girl. She was smiling at him and just staring at his eyes, he was impressed she didn’t try to stare at his scar. He wasn’t sure what a Wrackspurt was though, he never heard of them before.

“Umm... Hello. What’s a Wrackspurt? And who are you?”

“Oh silly me. My name is Luna Lovegood, and you’re Harry Potter. It’s nice to meet you. I believe we’ll be great friends!”
Harry just gave her a weird look and saw how she was smiling with her eyes almost glossed over so he just went with it.

“Nice to meet you Luna. So how do I get rid of the so called Wrackspurts?”

Luna smiled widely and began to weave a story about Wrackspurts.

“They’re these pests that infest peoples head by going through their ears and they make people confused and unsure about everything. The best way to get rid of them is to kiss someone you like, but if you can’t do that then you have to work harder at getting rid of them by working through your problems in life.”

Harry grinned and decided he liked this girl.

“Unfortunately I cannot kiss someone I like, but maybe I can work through my life problems. I have no choice but to try anyways as life is full of problems for me.”

Luna smiled at him and just opened her book and started reading. Harry guessed that was all she wanted to tell him so he decided to get started on his Arithmancy.

“Oh! If you need help understanding this I’m in the course so I took it last year and can help you catch up!”
Harry was a little confused on how she knew he needed help with the 3rd year’s lessons and not just the 5th year lessons like he should be doing at this time. He just figured she recognized the book he was looking at even though he was told it was a new edition. He smiled and nodded and that was how Luna started helping Harry catch up with Arithmancy and later on Ancient Runes.

They were working for a little over a couple of hours when Harry started getting this feeling in his chest. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling, it seemed familiar but not too bad. He tried to ignore it but it started to get worse, then he realized that the feeling was from being away from his mates. He stood right up and looked over to where the Slytherins were previously studying and noticed they were gone.

Draco left him. Harry started to panic.

“Harry, you should head to your rooms. Do you want some help getting there?”
Luna was still being helpful, but Harry shook his head, he could manage to get to his rooms on his own. He just had to hurry, so he packed his books and notes and thanked Luna for all her help and started walking fast towards the dungeons to get to his rooms. On the way he ran into Ronald Weasley.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Slytherin’s whore; did they finally realize you weren’t worth their time? Looks like Malfoy and Snape woke up from whatever spell you cast on them and decided you weren’t worth the hours stuck with you after all.”

Harry was starting to really hurt, he tried to just go around Ron but Weasley didn’t like that. Seamus Finnegan, Dean Thomas and Neville Longbottom was with him and just weren’t sure what to do at first until Ron gave them a look. Finnegan and Thomas both surrounded Harry, Neville didn’t want anything to do with this so he just shook his head and left back towards the Gryffindor tower.

“I’m not in the mood right now Ron, I really need to get to my rooms and I just don’t have the energy to waste on this at the moment. Please just leave me alone.”

Harry tried to walk around them but he couldn’t make it past them without someone pushing him back until they were surrounding him with a wall at his back. Ron decided he didn’t want a wand fight as he knew Harry could beat him when it comes to spells, so he just punched Harry in the face, then the stomach. Harry slid down the wall holding his stomach which was already not feeling the greatest. The three boys decided to give Harry a few kicks before running out of the hallway and getting away.

Harry slowly got back up and started walking towards his rooms once more, his nose was bleeding and his chest was starting to dreadfully hurt and he wasn’t sure he would make it at first. But the closer he got to his rooms, the less the pain was pulsing. He figured Draco or Snape were in the rooms and getting close enough for the aching to stop.

He finally made it to the door of the rooms and was debating on entering or not but where else would he go? He has nowhere and no one else that could help him so he has no choice. He slowly opens the door and walks in.

“Getting into fights? You’re getting blood all over my rooms, get cleaned up before you make a bigger mess.”
Snape was not impressed. He knew that Harry was trouble. It seems he blocked Harry’s feelings again and didn’t even feel the pain Harry was in.

This just brought Harry down. His alpha didn’t even care that he was hurt or who hurt him.

“Where’s Draco? You’re supposed to stay with him. Did you just decide you were able to handle things on your own and left him?”
“No, he left me in the library. I didn’t even notice he left until the pain started. Then I ran into Ron while on my way back to our rooms and he took offense of me being around. I didn’t do anything.”

Harry was trying to make his case. He knew it was probably not worth his breath but he had to at least try. Snape just sneered. He doubted that Draco would do something like that but he couldn’t prove that Harry was at fault. He decided he had enough of what was going on and he would just leave Harry to heal on his own.

“I’ll speak with Draco when he comes back. You go get cleaned up and heal; I’ll be in my laboratory getting some potions done.”

Harry nodded and turned towards his rooms. He supposed there was nothing more for him to do.

Meanwhile

Draco was with his friends and forgetting all about Harry for once since the incident. He was actually enjoying himself. They had left the library to walk outside during the nice day and spend some time just relaxing instead of studying.

Draco was laying down in the grass watching the girls gossip while the boys were skipping rocks in the lake. Blaise and Theo were both sitting on either side of him just enjoying the nice weather.

“This is the life. This is how weekends should be spent.”

Draco was getting ready to take a nap when Theo sort of woke up.

“Hey Draco, aren’t you supposed to stay with Harry? What happened between you two anyways, you were getting along fine yesterday but you just ignored him completely today.”

Draco sat right up. He completely forgot about Harry.

“Oh well, he’ll make it back to our rooms and Snape can handle him for a while. I was just reminded where my loyalty is supposed to be and who my family is dedicated to. Things have to be a certain way due to this and I can’t be seen forgetting that again.”

Theo and Blaise looked over at each other and sighed, they were hoping that Draco was pulling away from his family but it didn’t seem like it.

“You’re allowed your own thoughts Draco. Your father shouldn’t have control over your whole life like he does.”

“You leave my father out of this. He is the head of my family and yes I am supposed to follow him. Just because you guys don’t have fathers to follow doesn’t mean that I can act like you.”

Blaise’s father died years ago so he never missed him. Theo’s father was arrested for being a deatheater and he just showed back up in his life so he has barely any respect for the man. They both are loyal to the dark lord but only to a certain point. They don’t agree with the killing and torture, but they agree with wanting to change things in the wizarding world.

“It’s just; Harry was doing well with our group. He fit in nicely and now were ignoring him and I just feel bad.”

Theo was really starting to like Harry and he wasn’t sure how things will be in potions now that he has to be indifferent to him again.

“I never said you guys have to ignore him. Do what you want; I just know what I am supposed to do and who I am allowed to be friends with. Just because I decided to ignore him doesn’t mean the rest of Slytherin has to as well, he is still considered an honorary Slytherin.”

Draco didn’t understand that they didn’t want to go against his views, Slytherin followed Malfoys and going against what Malfoys do can lead to big problems.

“Between you ignoring him and Snape still being a berk to him no Slytherin will accept Potter as part of our house. Sure Snape says he’s an honorary Slytherin but he doesn’t treat him that way so why would the rest of us?”

Blaise was trying to get Draco to see things properly. But Draco just shook his head, shrugged his shoulders and laid back down. He has enough going on without worrying about Potter as well. He even ignored the pain he could feel in their bond, he figured Potter was just heading towards Snape and the pain would leave shortly.

Meanwhile

“Lucius, what has been going on with Potter, Snape and your son?”

Voldemort called Lucius back to his home base and couldn’t wait for answers for what that article was talking about. This could be a good thing, or a bad thing, he needed to find out which way things were going. He needed to get better control of everything so that he can finally take over completely.

“My Lord, the article was very accurate. Potter is now Snape’s and Draco’s Omega and Snape is the Alpha. Snape says there will be no physical relationship at least until they are out of Hogwarts but otherwise they are still learning what the bond will make them do. So far Potter has to be near either Snape or Draco otherwise he feels immense pain, so Potter was made an honorary Slytherin and is now taking classes with Draco. I did warn Draco about being overly friendly with Potter as he is still an opponent to our cause.”

Voldemort took his time to think things over. Potter being stuck with 2 of his own followers could be a big advantage. They might be able to change his mind into agreeing with their own beliefs.

“Actually, Lucius, tell your son that he is to get close to Potter. He is to try to get Potter to see everything in our way instead of the way of the light that Dumbledore has him following. Maybe we can change his alliance to be with us instead of the light and that could make Dumbledore much weaker as he seems to depend on Potter for everything. Yes, Draco is to have the task to bring Potter to the dark side.”

Lucius was shocked. Bringing Potter to the dark side seemed impossible. But then again he thought of how the light side seem to be against him right this moment and with both his Alpha and Beta being dark, he might have no choice but to follow them… He nodded to Voldemort and gave a smirk.

“Yes my Lord. I’m sure that Draco can make us proud and get Potter to see our perspective in everything.”
