Stop Waiting
You looked at your phone for what felt like the 100th time before it was pulled out of your hand.
“ Hey!.” You looked up to see professor Ji-Young standing in front of you with your phone in his hand.
“ Now I know that you guys are glued to your phones but this is a little extreme Miss Y/N.”
“ Sorry, sir it's just umm... it's been a couple of days and I haven't heard from my family in a while and it's hard to try to contact them because the service out here is still down.”
You looked down at your hands as you started to play with the sleeve of your H/H sweater. As you tried not to think about how much it hurt to know that they weren't at least a little worried about you not coming home for the holidays.
You jumped when you felt a hand on your head. You looked over to see Professor Jin-Young sitting next to you patting your head as he gave you a small smile. You looked at him confused he got up and offered his hand to you.
You looked at his hand before looking at him you took his hand as you he lead you towards the dining hall you looked at his back confused on why you guys were going to the dining hall. He stood by the door as he nodded his head towards the door.
You looked around the door to see the guys setting up for lunch you watched them joke around and laugh you felt yourself start to smile when Jin made one of his dad jokes and everyone either roll their eyes or laugh with him.
“You worried about the family you have waiting at home when you have one right here that has been worried about you since you got your phone back.” You watched them set up the table and start to bring out the food and round up everyone to get ready to eat you heard your phone buzz in Professor Ji-young's hand. He looked down at your phone before holding it up for you to see.
World Wide Handsome: Hey Y/N it's time to eat if you're not down in the next five minutes I will send JK and Tae after you <.<
You look at Professor Ji-Young as he hands you, your phone.
“ They care about you and I’m not saying your family back home doesn't but blood doesn't always make you family sometimes it's the bonds you make that people's family.”
He pats you on the head before walking away from you.
“ I say enjoy this family right now kid before you go back to your og one so my best advice is to stop waiting.”
You watched him walk away before looking at your phone aging you hit the lock button and put your phone in your pocket before walking into the dining hall.
“ Y/N you made it.”
Jungkook said as he looked at you walking up the plate they set out for you. You smiled at them as you sat down next to Mingi.
“ Don't sound so disappointed JK you can Tae can play hide and go seek around the castle with me later.” Everyone laughed as they started passing around food to each other you looked at them and thought about how right Professor Ji-Young was this was your family just as much as Your family back home is your family.
