Fire Side
Your eyes opened to see the fire going in the fireplace You looked down at the blanket covering you and your forgotten textbook on the floor.
“ Did I wake you?”
You looked over to see Kihyun sitting in an armchair closest to you looking at you with a headphone out and a book in his lap. You shook your head no as you sat up your headphones and phone tumbling to the floor.
“ No, you're fine um how long was I?”
“Sleep you've been sleeping for about two hours I would say I was going to let you sleep I know you haven’t been getting sleep lately.”
You pulled the blanket up to your shoulders your phone laying forgotten on the floor next to your textbook.
“ Only way you would know is if you were up yourself.”
“ Hmm, who else covers you up and starts the fire back up.”
He said as he turned a page in his book
“ You know that’s not good right.” You told him as your eyelids started to feel heavy. You reached down to pick up your phone seeing it was on 20% you set it on the table next to your chair as you got back comfortable.
“ Now that would be the pot calling the kettle black wouldn’t it?” He said not looking up from his book. You noticed how his skin had a shine to it as he kept reading your eyes trailed from his hair to his jawline. He looked over to catch you staring at him.
You felt the tips of your ears go red as you turned to face the fire and not him. You heard him chuckle a little at your embarrassment. You grabbed one of the pillows from the couch you were laying on and threw it at him knocking the book out of his hand.
“ Don’t laugh at me.” You told him grabbing your phone before covering your face with the blanket his chuckle was a full-blown laugh now. You narrowed your eyes at him as he smiled at you. You looked away from him when he started to laugh aging.
“ Shut up.” You muttered as you pulled the blanket over your head. He laughed as he watched you do this he picked up his book as he looked at you wrapped in the blanket he set his book on the table in front of the fire he rubbed his eyes as he thought about how they both go through the same routine of waking up at 12 or 3 in the morning he used to be up at this time from stoping Jimin and Hyungwon from sneaking out the dorm’s so much it was natural for his body to be up at this time.
He got up stretching as he looked at you he grabbed his blanket and walked to you and laid down on the edge of the couch poking you in the side. You shifted and moved trying to move away from him. You popped your head from under the blanket to look at him sitting in front of you.
“ Move over.” He said throwing the second blanket over the two of you laying down next to you. You moved over sitting up and shifting so he could lay down with you he laid down and opened his arms to you. You laid your head down on his chest as you pulled your phone out last time to check it.
He grabbed your phone and tossed it on the table next to his book he wrapped his arms around you and got comfortable as he closed his eyes. You blinked looking at your phone on the table as your eyes started to feel heavy as you listened to his heartbeat the warm feeling from the blankets and from Kihyun's body heat made it hard for you to stay awake.
“ Stop fighting it and just go to sleep.”
These were the last words you heard before falling asleep n Kihyun’s arms.
