Meant to meet

It’s was pretty sunny day outside, I liked the sun hitting my face this early in the morning. I was talking the morning slow, enjoying my day off work when I saw a letter on the counter, my roommate must have brought it in.

Her name is Grace and she’s really nice but I think she’s overworked in my opinion. She’s always really tired. I feel bad for her, her boss used her and didn’t give her a good loan for her work, she was truly a hard worker and a really nice person. I thought of her as I picked up the letter from the counter, seeing my name on it.

‘To Ms. Luna Dumont’ it said and I opened it, wondering what it was. I normally never really any got mail so this was a bit of a surprise. I take out the paper from the envelope and read the first sentence that makes my eyes widen. ‘Dear Ms. Dumont, you have won an all inclusive trip to Los Angeles’ is all I read before remembering that contest I did a while back from some radio station. I did it for fun when a friend dared me to when we were out once, I would have never in a million years thought I’d win! But I’m not complaining, I get to go to LA and get an acting gig at Warner Bros studio Hollywood ! Maybe I’ll become famous…Snap out of it Luna! That would never happen..or would it?

Anyway, I enjoyed the rest of my day off and started packing since I was leaving in two days, I must admit I was really excited! I’ve never been away from Europe since I lived in Berlin and anywhere else would be way to far and expensive…
