Chill day
Leo got up that morning disoriented. Sometime after his nightmare he was able to settle back to sleep, into much nicer dreams. He sat up in bed trying to blink the fogginess out of his eyes. He tried racking his head to remember the first dream he had. The only thing he could remember though is a white rabbit who knew him.
Leo decided it was time for breakfast. He got out of bed to meet his brothers in the dining room.
He walked into the room. His brothers were all there. Looked like Mikey had made breakfast. “Hey, is there any left for me?” Leo was starving and needed something tasty. Mikey’s cooking would do more than suffice “of course! I made sure to save you some before these hooligans got to it all, it's on a plate in the fridge” Mikey gleamed pound of himself “this is why you're my favorite Mikey man” Leo responded with finger guns. Mikey just smiled at that and stuck his tongue out to the rest of his brothers. Leo went to the fridge to grab a plate of eggs, potatoes, and sausage. He then joined his brothers at the table.
“So what's the plan for today?” Leo asked, trying to start a conversation. Donnie and Mikey look at Raph to see what he says curious too “Well I don't think we have any missions today so I was thinking we could go to run of the mill. You know, have a chill day. That way we can hang with you Leo.” Leo was a little shocked that Raph only wanted to chill today, he usually always wants to either train or go on missions. Though Leo reminded himself that after the krang invasion Raph has been more laid back. But he was excited to actually hang with his brothers and get out of the sewers. “Yeah of course! You know Hueso has to be missing me” Leo made some sort of gesture to his face while making his ‘im so amazing’ face
The four continued to eat and chat until they were done. When done the lounged around for a bit before lunch. It was around noon when they thought it was a good time to go to run of the mill.
Raph got up while stretching and yawning. “I think it's a good time to go”
Donnie got up as well “well if you say so brother, Leon do you feel up to teleporting us?”
The three turned to him. Leo suddenly felt like the whole world was looking at him. “Whah-ha-hat? And miss a perfect opportunity to take a walk. Come on, Hermanos, we could get some exercise. Let's not be lazy” Leo was sweating so much he feared the others might start questioning him. “Actually a walk sounds nice right now” thank God for Mikey's enthusiasm because Leo thought he would actually have to make a portal for a sec. “Hmm that does sound nice, good idea Leo” Leo's worries were over now that Raph was on board too.
“ughh walking is ok I guess. He says with zero sarcasm” Donnie proclaimed clearly annoyed. He didn't want to walk, but he knew it would be three against one on the matter.
“Come on Dee, walking isn't that bad” Mikey is the voice of convincing in the family. If anyone needs to be convinced on anything they'd talk to him.
“Well then let's get walking.” Leo put a stop to their conversation. He was still worried about being asked to make a portal. Using his mystic powers is still a worry for him, he wasn't sure what would happen. But he still felt off about it. He quickly shoved the thoughts away and started walking with his brothers. He was determined to spend a good day with them. Just chilling eating their favorite pizza.
The four start walking to run of the mill. It took about 15 minutes to get there. When they got in they went ahead and sat at their usual spot. Hueso noticed them. He was genuinely surprised to see them, especially Leo. He hasn't seen them since the invasion, he figured they had a hand in the whole thing. It took him a minute to realize the bandages on Leo. For a second there Hueso felt bad. As much as Leo annoyed him, he actually enjoyed his company. He definitely didn't want to see him hurt like that. “Peppino's what can I get you today”
Leo toon the chance to answer before his brothers could “one large pepperoni and pineapple pizza please senor” “PINEAPPLE! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND” there was nothing Donnie hated more than pineapple pizza. He felt it was the most disgusting thing to ever grace the planet. “What pineapple is good” Leo knew this would be the reaction he'd get from Donnie. He just wanted to argue about something in fun. This was something that Donnie took seriously but Leo joked about. “Pineapple on pizza is the worst thing on this planet, how could you ever even think about ordering it. It is on the permanent ban list.” “ok ok you two cut it out, we’ll take the large pepperoni pizza. No pineapples please” Raph decided to jump in before it got too bad. “Thank you brother, I appreciate the no pineapple” Donnie was actually grateful that Raph took his side this time. “Whatever” Leo made a small remark but was ignored. Hueso took their order and left. Soon after their food came. And they enjoyed eating together.
