Sudden fights
The four finished eating at run of the mill, after overstaying their time they figured it was time to go. They exited out the door leading to the alleyway.
“Man run of the mill has got to be one of the best pizza places in NYC” Mikey said. He was catching a ride on Raphs back.
“I’ve got to agree bother, and it's affordable. Simply a fine establishment” Donnie and to Mikey's comment.
While his brothers conversed about pizza Leo was off in his own thoughts. His thoughts were focused on the bunny from his dreams. He still couldn't get his face out of his mind. Over and over again he searched the unfamiliar face for any sign as to who he is. But Leo still can't figure it out. He was more than sure he'd never meet this rabbit that seemed to know him. He kept trying to tell himself that it was just from his dreams, that it wasn't important. But the face kept coming back no matter how hard he was or wasn't trying to forget.
“leo…leeeeoooo!……LEO!!”
Suddenly Leo was snapped out of his thoughts by his brothers. “What? What do you want?” Leo said not entirely snapping but definitely shocked to be dragged out of his deep thinking.
“You weren't responding to us so we had to yell” Raph explained.
“Oh.. I wasn't really paying attention” Leo admitted. He wasn't trying to be rude, he just kinda sounded like an ass at the moment. It was a trait of his that he didn't have much control over. But besides the point his brothers were talking and he needed to pay attention. “What were you guys talking about?” Leo asked.
“It wasn't really anything important” Donnie claimed.
“Yeah we were just talking abo–” before Mikey could finish his sentence he was hit in the face by a soaring pigeon. Sending him flying off Raphs back.
All the brothers turn to look at where the pigeon came from. Only to see hipno the magic hippo.
“You turtles I will beat you this time” he jumps into the air shooting a deck of cards out his sleeves. The turtles jump back dodging at the last minute.
“What is with this surprise attack all of the sudden? Look I'm sorry about that one time or maybe the other time but that's no reason to attack us” Leo was using his ‘humor’ to cope with the sudden shock and jumping into battle.
“Leo sit this one out you're still not cleared for battle” Raph reminded him.
“What! Are we really going to discuss this now?! In the middle of a fight?” Leo protested. He understood where Raph was coming from but they were literally in the middle of a battle. How was Raph going to keep him away when his brothers could need him.
“This isn't up for decision right now leon!” Donnie added to the conversation as he was holding off hipno with his bo staff. “It's not safe for you to fight yet” he continued as he was sent flying back by hipno.
“Hey guys, here's an idea… let's not! Talk about this IN front of our enemy!” Mikey pointed out how bad of an idea it was to talk about one of their team members who was currently a weak point for them WHILE fighting their foe.
“Mikey's right, let's not talk about this now and I'll just fight” Leo said hoping his brothers wouldn't notice him heading to fight. But his efforts failed as Raph pulled him back by his bandana. “You're staying right here and are not moving!” Raph used his mom's voice this time and Leo knew better to not listen. So he did as told and begrudgingly sat down while his brothers took care of it.
After a while of the three going back and forth with hipno they were finally able to corner him. Hipno was backed into the corner holding his shoulder clearly beaten. The three turtles stand towering over him red, purple, and orange. The shadows playing in their favor to make them look more terrifying than they were. “Look over there what's that” hipno said as a last resort and for some reason it worked. All the turtles look in the direction he pointed in to find nothing. Once they realized they were looking for nothing they looked back. Hipno was gone, he fled while they were turned.
“Well I guess that's another point for us!! Go team!” Donnie exclaimed excitingly pumping his arm up.
“I still can't believe you guys were arguing with me in the middle of a fight” Leo was still sitting down where he was originally. Arm bent on his knee propping his face up.
“You were the one trying to fight while still injured” dr. Delicate touch was now lecturing him about how fighting while injured just makes it worse.
After what seemed like an hour of a lecture from Mikey the boys decided it was a good time to head home.
“Hey Leo, can you portal us home? After that fight I don't think I can walk anymore” Mikey whined a bit dramatically.
Leo took a minute to respond. He knew his brothers would ask him at some time to use his portals but he still wasn't ready. “Uh… idk”
“Come on nardo you didn't portal us here you could at least portal us home” Donnie claimed.
Leo looked on again deciding on what to do. He figured it couldn't be that bad right. It was just one small portal home. One he's made thousands of times. It’s one he could do in his sleep. He can't possibly get this one wrong. Right? He stands back grabbing his swords. He takes a deep breath and pointed the tip of one of his swords at the wall. His head starts racing, thoughts of the krang beating him flashed. Thoughts of his dreams and nightmares. Everything hitting him at once. Then suddenly his mind focuses on one person. One he hasn't been able to figure out. A white rabbit invades his mind. A rabbit with a stupid smile on his face calling to Leo. His face scrunches and he tries to draw a portal. He swings a few times.
At first nothing happens. He swings one or two more times. It took a minute again this time. Then, blue spark starts appearing growing bigger and bigger opening a portal. Leo was shocked for a moment. He wasn't expecting it to actually work. The portal opens fully. Leo was expecting to see the living room to their sewers. However he was surprised to see a person staring right back at him. Well they weren't just staring at him the were flying towards him, posing like he's about to strike someone with his swords. He was shocked as well to see the portal open and the target he was aiming for is no longer there. There was no stopping him. He was mid jump heading straight for Leo. He flies through the portal crashing harshly into Leo. They lay there for a second never sure what to do. Both were shocked about what just happened.
The mystery person pushes himself up enough to look Leo in the face still on top of him. Holding his head he looked down at Leo who was just looking up at him in shock. Leo saw this guy before he realized right away who it was, it was no one other than the boy from his dreams. Literally.
"Wait I know you!!" Leo says
Heheh 😁 usagi got introduced this time finally. I'm sorry this took so long to upload I had having trouble getting motivated to write 😓 but I really hope you enjoy this chapter. I enjoyed writing it. I was giggling while writing it. Thank see you again next time :))
