Chapter 17
Pulling up to another house I glance at Bonnie seeing her frown glaring at it "what's the problem now?" I ask.
"Why are we staying so close to them?" She asks.
"This is what meets your requests close to the school, something you can help pay for, close to my parents so you can keep practicing, and close to your therapist's office"
"It's to close to them" she whines.
Groaning I clenching my teeth taking a deep breath "then you're going to need to let go of some of your requests for us to go further".
"Don't get mad at me just because you don't know how to find a place to live" she huffs.
Snarling I get out and pace by the car trying to calm down, once I do I get in slamming the door and take off.
Pulling up to a car dealership I get out yanking her door open "Come on Princess" I snark.
Seeing her get out crossing her arms I walk off finding a worker and motion to Bonnie asking them to find her a car.
Two hours later
Seeing the dealer come over looking angry I sigh "what now?" I ask.
"She can't afford it is all she keeps saying"
Huffing I walk to a red convertible checking it over "this one's fine".
Seeing him nod I go in and handle paying for it making sure to buy it flat out, walking out I lead Bonnie over to it and open the door "now get in and drive it back home Bonnie, then we will find a house further away".
"Beth, I can't afford this car and help pay" she huffs barely stopping herself from whining.
"Bonnie get in the damn car and take it home it's yours flat out, we can discuss paying me back if you must but the sake of everyone's life go" I hiss.
She nods looking unsure but takes off, sighing I head back to my car and follow after her.
Pulling up to the house I get out and walk inside with her seeing she's about to talk, I shake my head holding my hand up "not now" I grumble before walking away.
Going to my room I sigh dropping on my bed and rub my temples "rough day?" Mom asks.
"Bonnie has a car now so maybe we can find a place further away from her family since she was worried about school"
"She got a car?"
Scoffing I turn my head to look at her "no, I bought it and had to force her to take it after she got upset about location".
"Try to relax okay"
Laughing slightly I nod "I'll go drinking with Shego again" I grumble.
"No, you're not"
"Why not? Kim wants to go"
"You're a bad influence on her" Mom snarks.
"Shego's the bad influence, we just follow her lead" I snark.
Mom rolls her eye and walks away, sighing I pull my pillow over my face and let myself fall asleep.
Walking up I grunt feeling someone by me, pulling the pillow away I frown seeing Bonnie slowly moving closer to me.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Nothing" she answers quickly.
"I'm sorry" she adds unsurely.
"For what?" I ask confused.
"I try to not annoy you and do what you wanted when I moved into the old house, but I only seem to annoy you and the money doesn't go as far as I thought it would"
Groaning I sit up rubbing my face "I don't care about money Bonnie, unless you tell me what you need I can't help you, I went with what you wanted even after trying to explain we would be pretty close to them because you kept insisting on it".
Glancing at my clock I frown seeing it's after midnight "why are you awake right now?" I ask.
Bonnie gives a half shrug then frowns "I can't sleep, I know today I made you mad and if I keep doing it you will send me back".
"I'm not sending you back there Bonnie, like I told that asshole you're almost 19, legally you're an adult he can't force you to go back, you need to stop worrying about going back or making me mad and worry about your plans after highschool"
"Right I don't have to go back" Bonnie mumbles before nodding.
Getting up I walk to my dresser pulling out some sleep clothes and start changing "could I.." rolling my eyes I toss what I know Bonnie was gonna ask for cutting her off.
"I don't know why you want them all the time" I grumble moving back to the bed as she gets up.
Getting the blanket pulled down I turn out the light and plan to sleep more till I feel my bed dip "Bonnie what are you doing?"
She doesn't respond but lays down leaving some space between us, sighing I let it go and settle in to sleep.
Waking up again I frown looking at Bonnie seeing she's curled up in my blanket like a burrito.
Getting up I open the door and freeze seeing Ma with her hand raised to knock "Yes?" I ask.
She leans over peeking around me to the bed and smiles "nevermind" she says then skips off.
Watching her walk away I shake my head "I'm not dealing with that today" I grumble making my way down to the kitchen.
Rubbing my face I make my coffee ignoring Ma messing around in the kitchen to cook "Mom will kick you through the window if you do that" I finally say seeing her put the pan down.
"I know what I'm doing" she says waving me off, humming I relax watching what I know is going to be a shit show.
Finishing my first cup I get up making another and open the back door waving my hand coughing slightly "Ma are you ready to call it a day?" I ask standing outside.
"I can do this damn it" Ma answers sounding annoyed.
Hearing Bonnie rushing down the stairs as the smoke alarms blare she comes in the kitchen, then rushes over turning everything off and starts opening windows.
"I was cooking" Ma shouts.
Tilting my head I watch Bonnie since she seems different as she scoffs checking the pans "this isn't food it's ash Sophia, and this is Betty's favorite pan we have to make sure it's not ruined".
Smiling slightly I watch as Bonnie takes over and starts cleaning up the mess while making Ma help "well Beth let me do it so clearly she trusted me" Ma snarks when Bonnie mentions the smell.
"Beth crossed the insane line just like you a long time ago, she plays being sane better"
Chuckling I come back in getting more coffee seeing Bonnie looks shocked "you're still here" she squeaks.
Shrugging I refill my cup seeing Bonnie slip back to how she always seems around me, bouncing from house wife to annoying brat as she quickly turns offering different things she could cook me.
Shaking my head I sit down "I think I'll go to the rainforest and lick frogs for breakfast and you need to get to school".
"You need to get to work" Bonnie grumbles under her breath facing away from me before rushing to get ready.
After a few minutes she rushes out slamming the door behind her, once I hear her peel out leaving I see Mom toss the pans to soak and pulls out the matching pan that Mom guards from her then smirks at me.
Rolling my eyes I get up and start cooking "that girl really needs to stop slipping back to that when you're around".
"She's trying I think, she did tell me to go to work I don't think I was supposed to hear her say it though" I answer shrugging.
"Yeah that's true"
"What was the point of this?" I ask while putting our food down once it finishes.
"I was trying to let you see how she acts without you around, you and Betty make her nervous"
Nodding I glance at Ma seeing her start eating "her home life was similar to what Betty found me in" Ma suddenly says frowning "I really want to cause an electric fire for them when they sleep but Betty has a very short leash on me".
Frowning I poke at my food feeling sick "maybe we can do something different but still punish them" I offer.
"Oh like what?" Ma asks.
"Well Aunt Helene works for the IRS maybe something happens that causes their accounts to be frozen, that would then lead a trail to that group and it would have to be investigated, I'm also sure Bonnie mentioned the house had an electrical problem and that it's empty on Fridays from 5pm-8pm since she's not there anymore"
"Not Helene" Ma groans.
"Well we can't call Izzie to do anything because of the court case"
"I'm surprised they haven't tried to attack us over that"
"She's not happy about it but because we're pushing for him to go somewhere to get mental help she's not angry, he did help build his own case for her judgement by how he is and taking his brothers hostage she's pissed and disappointed in him"
Ma nods "fine let's call that nosey bitch about getting them investigated and Bonnie's file will make it to the FBI".
Shrugging I place my phone down making the call so Ma can hear "Elizabeth, how are you baby is your Ma still a bitch" she answers.
"Fuck you, you nosy old bat" Ma snarks.
"Hey enough, we're calling for a reason not so you two can trade insults"
"I'm always here to help Beth what's wrong?" Helene asks sweetly.
"My soulmate Bonnie Rockwaller, she's currently running from her family because they're abusive, the problem is they have money to fight any legal issues, they abused her I was wondering if you could look at their income" I answer.
"It will lead to underground groups including my old trafficking ring" Ma adds.
"Their back up?"
"I believe so because multiple names I seen where involved with mine"
"Not a problem I'll start looking now, just make sure you keep her close because if this is true she could become a target"
Bonnie pov
Walking into the school I glance around and tense seeing my older sister, before she can come over Kim rushes up linking our arms pulling me with her.
Pulling free I glare at her "what do you think you're doing?" I demand.
"Making sure you're okay and keeping them away like Beth asked" she answers shrugging.
Shoving past her I head on for my classes, in between them Kim and Monique randomly show up getting between me and my sister or her friends.
At the end of the day I sigh heading for my car and find all four tires have cuts in them "damn it" I grumble knowing my one of my siblings did it.
Glancing around I spot Kim and Monique walking to head home and bite my lip "fuck it" I grumble since I know Kim's all about protecting people and Beth asked her to watch me, rushing to catch up with them I grab her arm pushing myself between them.
"We thought you left" Kim says frowning.
"Someone cut my tires" I answer huffing.
"You sure? it could be a flat" Monique asks.
"Not all four at once getting ripped open, that's a new car, Beth made sure they were brand new and checked everything" I answer trying to not snap at her.
"Okay well, we'll get to my house and call her to come check" Kim offers as we pass my families house.
Glancing at it I see one of my brothers glaring at me from the porch.
