Red's Coronation
The big day had finally arrived. Wonderland had dressed up in its finest to celebrate Red’s coronation. The people gathered in large numbers around the palace, the enthusiasm and excitement palpable in the air. Colorful flags fluttered in the wind, and the streets were decorated with fresh flowers.
Red prepared in her private chambers, surrounded by her closest advisors and friends. Her coronation gown was magnificent, embroidered with gold patterns symbolizing prosperity and peace. Yet, despite the excitement, Red felt a ball of anxiety growing in her stomach.
Alden, the regent, entered the room with a benevolent smile. “Red, everything is ready. The people are eagerly awaiting you.”
Red nodded, but her heart was pounding. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. “Thank you, Alden. I’ll… I’ll get ready.” »
As the minutes ticked by, Red's anxiety only increased. Her thoughts swirled, and she felt panic overwhelm her. Her hands shook, and she had trouble breathing.
"I... I can't do this," Red whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. "I'm going to fail."
Alden, seeing Red's state, quickly approached. "Red, listen to me. You're ready for this moment. You have what it takes to be a great queen."
But Alden's comforting words weren't enough to calm Red. She felt her legs give out from under her and collapsed into a chair. "Chloe... I need Chloe..."
Understanding the urgency of the situation, Alden rushed out of the room to look for Chloe. He found her in an adjacent room, deep in discussion with some advisors.
"Chloe!" " Alden exclaimed, out of breath. "Red needs you. Now."
Without wasting a second, Chloe rushed to Red's quarters. When she entered the room, she immediately saw Red's distress. Tears were streaming down her cheeks, and her breathing was erratic.
Chloe approached Red, gently taking her in her arms. "Red, breathe. I'm here. Everything's going to be okay."
Red let herself be enveloped by Chloe's warmth and tenderness, trying to catch her breath. "Chloe... I'm terrified. What if I'm not good enough?"
Chloe stroked Red's hair, whispering comforting words. "You're stronger than you think, Red. You've been through so much and you've become an incredible person. I believe in you, and the whole kingdom believes in you."
Red closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down as she listened to the steady beat of Chloe's heart. Slowly, her breathing became more steady, and she felt a glimmer of courage return to her.
Chloe pulled a small package from her pocket and handed it to Red. "I have something for you. A good luck charm."
Red unwrapped the package with trembling hands, revealing a finely engraved silver bracelet. Tears flooded her eyes as she saw the gift.
"Maddox would be so proud of you," Chloe whispered. "And I am too."
Red clutched the bracelet to her heart, feeling the presence of those she had lost. "Thank you, Chloe. Thank you for everything."
Chloe kissed her tenderly. "You are not alone, Red. I will always be by your side. Together, we can accomplish great things. »
Red took a deep breath, feeling a surge of determination wash over her. She stood up, her legs still trembling, but her heart filled with courage. "I'm ready."
Alden entered the room, a smile of relief on her lips. "The people are waiting for you, Red."
Hand in hand, Red and Chloe made their way to the great throne room. The doors opened before them, revealing a cheering crowd. Cheers echoed through the room, and Red felt a wave of emotion wash over her.
She walked toward the throne, her gaze fixed on the people she would lead. The faces beaming with hope and support gave her the strength to continue. She knew that Maddox was watching over her from where he stood, and that he would be proud of the woman she had become.
Red turned to Alden, who held the crown in his hands. “Red, are you ready to accept the responsibilities of queen and lead your people with wisdom and compassion?”
Red nodded, her voice filled with determination. “Yes, I am ready.”
Alden placed the crown on Red’s head, and thunderous applause rang out through the room. With tears in her eyes, Red turned to her people, feeling the gravity of the moment.
“People of Wonderland,” she began, her voice shaking with emotion, “I am honored and humbled to stand before you as your queen. I promise to serve this kingdom with honesty, compassion, and determination. Together, we will build a prosperous and peaceful future.”
The crowd cheered enthusiastically, and Red felt a comforting warmth fill her heart. She turned to Chloe, who smiled at her with love and pride. Red knew she had the strength and support to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
After the ceremony, Red found a quiet moment to retreat to her private chambers. She sat by a window, looking out over the beautiful scenery of Wonderland. Her thoughts turned to Maddox, and she felt a pang of sadness mixed with gratitude.
“Maddox, I hope you are proud of me, where you are. You have taught me so much, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.” »
She turned to the silver bracelet on her wrist, feeling the comforting presence of those she had lost. It symbolized everything she had been through and everything she had overcome.
Chloe entered the room, approaching Red slowly. "How are you feeling, my queen?"
Red smiled, feeling a comforting warmth fill his heart. "I feel good, thanks to you."
Chloe took Red's hand, offering him silent support. "Together, we can accomplish great things."
Red nodded, feeling a wave of determination wash over him. "Yes, together, forever."
