Red's First Decision as Queen
Red had now fully embraced her role as Queen of Wonderland. The crown on her head symbolized the enormous responsibility that weighed on her shoulders. Every day was a new challenge, and she often wondered if she would live up to her people's expectations. That morning, Red stood at the window of her royal chamber, looking out over the palace gardens. The scenery was beautiful, but her thoughts were elsewhere, focused on the first major decision she would make as Queen: the distribution of farmland to ensure prosperity for all the inhabitants.
Chloe entered the room quietly, approaching Red. "How are you feeling this morning, my Queen?"
Red turned her head to Chloe, her gaze filled with apprehension. "I am nervous, Chloe. This decision is crucial for the kingdom, and I am afraid of making the wrong choice."
Chloe took Red's hand, squeezing it gently. "You have prepared this meeting carefully. You’re ready, Red. And remember, you’re not alone. We’re all here to support you.”
Red felt a comforting warmth fill her heart. Chloe’s words soothed her doubts and fears. “Thank you, Chloe. I’m so lucky to have you by my side.”
They walked together to the council chamber, where the councilors, village representatives, and members of the court were waiting for them. Red took a deep breath before entering, remembering Chloe’s reassuring words. The meeting began with a presentation of the various issues and proposals for the distribution of land. The debates were lively, with each side expressing their concerns and hopes for the future.
Red listened attentively, taking note of each person’s points of view. She felt the weight of responsibility on her shoulders, but she was determined to make a fair and balanced decision. When it was her turn to speak, Red stood, her heart pounding. “Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for your contributions and ideas. I have heard your concerns, and I have considered how best to distribute the lands to ensure the prosperity of our kingdom.” She then explained her decision with clarity and confidence, detailing the measures she intended to put in place to ensure a fair and efficient distribution of the lands. Her words were filled with wisdom and compassion, and she showed a deep understanding of the needs of her people.
As Red finished her speech, a respectful silence fell over the room. The village representatives exchanged approving glances, and the councilors nodded in satisfaction. Alden spoke, a proud smile on his lips. “Your Majesty, your decision is wise and balanced. You have shown a deep understanding of the issues at stake and a true compassion for your people.” Cheers and applause echoed through the room, and Red felt a wave of relief and pride wash over him. She had managed to make an important decision for her kingdom, and she knew she could count on the support of her allies and her people.
After the meeting, Red turned to Chloe with a bright smile. "Thank you for supporting me, Chloe. I don't know what I would do without you."
Chloe smiled back, her eyes shining with pride. "You did an incredible job, Red. I'm so proud of you."
Red took Chloe's hand and led her through the halls of the palace. "I want to show you something. A part of my world you don't know yet."
They walked together, passing through majestic halls and corridors adorned with magnificent frescoes. Red stopped in front of a massive carved wooden door and carefully opened it. "This is the portrait room," she said as she entered, followed by Chloe. The room was large and adorned with portraits of every monarch of Wonderland for centuries. The faces of each king and queen stared solemnly from the golden frames, telling the history of the kingdom.
Chloe looked around in awe. "It's impressive, Red." Red nodded, his eyes settling on one portrait in particular. "I left my mother's here. Despite everything she did, she was a part of the history of this kingdom."
Chloe approached the portrait of the Queen of Hearts, observing the details carefully. "She seemed like a strong woman."
Red felt a pang of sadness mixed with gratitude. "Yes, she was. And now I realize that she taught me a lot, even if she didn't choose the right path."
Chloe placed a comforting hand on Red's shoulder. "You're different from her, Red. You're a fair and loving queen. » Red smiled softly, feeling a wave of love wash over him.
Chloe turned to look at the other portraits, and her gaze suddenly stopped on a frame she didn't expect to see. Her own portrait, hanging next to Red's. Chloe's eyes widened in surprise, and her heart was pounding.
Chloe, as a history buff, felt a mixture of disbelief and pride at seeing her face among the monarchs of the past. She turned to Red, tears welling in her eyes. "Red, this is... incredible. I didn't expect this at all."
Red approached Chloe, a tender smile on his lips. "You are part of my life, of our history. You are my queen too."
Chloe felt tears well up in her eyes, moved by Red's words. She turned to Red, taking his hands in hers. "Thank you, Red. Thank you for including me in this journey, in this world. I am honored to stand by your side."
Red kissed her tenderly, their lips meeting in a kiss filled with love and promise. "Together, we will build a bright future for our kingdom."
Chloe smiled through her tears, feeling a comforting warmth invade her heart. "Together, forever."
