Chapter 3
Ariana POV:
It was the next day, I still couldn’t believe that I'd been casted for glinda. I wish I could tell little Ari that she has made it. I just sat up in my bed and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise. I looked over to check my phone to see that Cynthia texted me.
“Hi Ari love, i just wanted to say good morning and hope you have a wonderful day today. I still feel unreal about the news yesterday and I know you probably feel it too. I can’t wait to see you this saturday. You’re amazing.”
Oh….my…gosh. I can’t stop smiling. The way she worded. Sounds so elegant. Was it the first thing on her mind this morning? Omg i could’ve been. I have to answer.. What do I even say?!?!
“Thank you so much cyn, I truly appreciate you. You’re right I still feel unreal, it’s all so breathtaking you know? I hope you have a wonderful day too pretty . You can do anything you put your mind to.”
Okay I think that's good. RIght? It has to be…
Cynthia POV:
I decided to text Ariana this morning. She was the first thing on my mind. Just wanted to give her some encouragement. I sent a little text. I went to my bathroom to get ready for the day. I brushed my teeth and then I heard a buzz. I saw that ari texted me back. I instantly checked my phone.
“Thank you so much cyn, I truly appreciate you. You’re right I still feel unreal, it’s all so breathtaking you know? I hope you have a wonderful day too pretty. You can do anything you put your mind to.”
I kept reading it. It had me blushing. She called me pretty. This girl is gonna be the death of me. I have to text her back.. What should I say though?
“Thank you, thank you. I appreciate you too. Do you have any plans for today, love?”
That's good right? It should be… Yea it's good.
I put my phone back down and continued with my routine. I finished with my routine and headed to the kitchen. I saw my babies sleeping peacefully so I didn't wake them up. I moved around the kitchen to make myself a light breakfast to start my day. A nice fruit smoothie with a little spinach with an avocado toast. Nothing too heavy.
Ari POV:
I was doing my morning routine, then I felt a buzz. I checked my phone to see that Cynthia texted back.
“Thank you, thank you. I appreciate you too. Do you have any plans for today, love?”
I’m blushing again. This woman and that word “love”, she’s trying to kill me and we haven't even met yet. Uh just keep it casual Ari…
“Uh nothing much today, just going to chill with my fur babies and look at essence. What about you?”
I waited for a response and she responded instantly.
“Mm okay that sounds lovely. Uh for me I’m gonna workout and respond to some emails. Nothing too much, did you eat today?”
She is so considerate of me. I can’t even remember someone checking in on me like that. Also she's going to the gym? I know she's ripped under those dresses she wears. I mean her biceps are just… my goddd.
“I didn’t eat yet, just got my morning routine done. I'm about to make my breakfast. Did you eat ms.cynthia?”
“Yes I did ms.ari, I'm eating it right now. A nice protein fruit smoothie with avocado toast. *Enters pic*”
DAMN! Does she look like that in the morning? Imaging waking up next to that every morning? I would die a happy woman.
“Looking very beautiful this morning, cyn.”
Cynthia POV:
She called me beautiful, obviously she hasn’t looked into the mirror.
“Me? No hon that's all you ari. Trust me.”
“Nonsense cyn, your morning beauty just blessed my presence.”
She must want me to die, because that's what's gonna happen.
“Oh ari, such a charmer. You’re too good to me.”
“I could say the same.”
She’s so smooth with it.
“Well I'm gonna start my workout. I'll text you in between okay?”
“OKay i’ll be here, cyn. Have a great workout.”
“Thanks ari, talk to you soon.”
“Talk to you soon.”
I put my phone in my pocket and headed to the gym in my house. I started my workout with a little bit of cardio and then lifting.
Ari POV:
Me and cyn just got done talking. She is such a charmer. Knowing what words to say. I just know I'm gonna embarrass myself in front of her on saturday.
You know what, I think I'm going to go for a walk. Take a nice stroll to enjoy nature. That sounds like a good idea.
I picked out my clothes and got dressed. Giot all my essentials and headed out the house. I walked on this trail behind my house. My lovely neighbors walk on it every other day. I love them. They are so sweet.
I popped in my airpods and started to listen to my music. Just enjoying the scenery around me.
It was quite beautiful. The way everything was in place, the nice warm sun was glazing on my skin. The bird chirping and what not.
As I was listening to my music, I heard a familiar voice. I checked my phone to see what the song was and it was ms.erivo herself. The song was called “Day Off”. I decided to listen.
Her voice just itches a part in my brain the most satisfying way. The way her voice compels with the instruments.
Halfway in my walk, I added her song to my playlist. I started to look into her songs and listen to more of them.
Nobody POV:
It was an hour later, Ari had enjoyed her walk and had headed back home to start her work day. Cynthia was still working out by the time Ari got back home. Cynthia decided to take a break and text ari.
Cynthia POV:
I decided to take a break from my intense workout. I sent a text to ari.
“Hi love, I’ve taken a break from my workout. How are you doing? I hope your morning went well.”
It wasn’t too long until I had received a text back from her.
“Hey cyn, my morning was well. You inspired me to go on a nice little morning walk. You may have popped up in my music feed. I have to say cyn, your voice is absolutely amazing. You can literally sing me to sleep.”
She’s joking. She’s heard my music. Not only that.. SHE LOVES IT. This gotta be one of the best days of my life.
“Thank you ari i appreciate it, i have this tendency of certainly listening to the different instruments and lining up my voice with it. That’s how you hear those wonderful vocals dear. I’m glad I inspired you to take some time for yourself. I'm definitely doing more of that.”
“I like the way you think when it comes to singing your songs. I never heard someone describe it like that. Well i can't wait for more of your lovely inspiration.”
“ Of course, I'll give you all the inspiration you need, just let me know. This workout is killing me, but it's worth it. *Enters Pic*”

Ari POV:
I almost spit out the water that I was drinking. She just sent me a photo of her working out. This woman is ethereal. God definitely took his time on her. The figure, the toneness. I- just-.
“DAMN!”
“What ari, you shocked?”
“Uh HELL YEA! I didn’t know you had all that under. That back is fucking toned”
“Well what can you say… I'm full of surprises.”
“That you are Ms.Erivo. I have to give it to you, that takes work and dedication.”
“It sure does hon. The grind never stops.”
“You’re definitely right about that. Well I’ll let you get back to your intense workout miss ma’am.”
“Okay hon, i’ll reach out later. If not, I probably passed out asleep.”
“I wouldn’t blame you. Take care cyn.”
“You too ms.ari <3.”
A girl for sure needs to sit down, because my mind just got blown. Oh I know whoever she's with is very lucky to have her. That image will stay in my mind forever.
