A small grumble was hearable from the shorter girl's stomach, her face immediately flushed pink seconds after.
The Creature blinked, “Are you hungry human?” she suggested, “No well, maybe a little…” answered Emu, still embarrassed from earlier.
”Wait here, I’ll go get something” the creature immediately left, leaving Emu alone in the rock she was sitting on.
Her pink hair strands sat on her face as she impatiently swung her feet, waiting for the creature to arrive.
After a while She returned, her now wet purple hair sparkling beneath the daylight. In her hands was a fish shaped snack. “What?! Taiyaki?? Where did you find this??” Her eyes sparkled in excitement seeing her favorite food in front of her, she sniffed the air “is that red bean Taiyaki?” she hummed “it smells so good!” Emu paused, “how did you know it was my favorite?” a wide smile was visible in her face as she munched the snack.
“I didn't,” she explained. “I took it from a human ship; they had quite a few of them.” her purplish cyan eyes gazed at her, looking curiously at Emu as she finally took her last bite.
“Yummy!! That was delicious!” said Emu as she set aside some crumbs on her lap, without knowing she had some left on her face.
The purplish haired creature placed her hand on Emu’s cheek to get rid of the crumbs on it. Some red bean paste got in her finger while she was cleaning her cheek, so she licked the paste with her purplish tongue.
A blush formed on Emu's face as she saw the other girl's actions. “Are you okay? Your face is as red as a crab's” the water nymph asked. “Y-yea! I'm fine, don't mind me!”
Emu was frowning as she was thinking really hard. “What are you thinking about, human?” said the creature.
“Well! Since you won't tell me your name… I'm coming up with a nickname!!” she exclaimed excitedly.
“A nickname?” she paused, “what did you choose?
Emu grinned as she excitedly started, “Well!! Since your scales are as white as the snow! I've decided to call you Yuki ”
“Yuki, huh?… ” she paused, “I like it…”
Emu’s eyes lightened at her words, “YAY!! You like it! This deserves a WONDERHOY!!”
“Huh? Wonderhoy? What's that?” she smiled as she tilted her head.
Slightly scared, Emu answered, “Oh! I-it's a greeting haha…”
“Can I ask you a question?” Emu asked eagerly, “Sure, go ahead, human.”
“Do you know how I can get home to my family?” she said nervously of the other's answer.
The creature paused for a moment at hearing her question.
“Home… A human's home? Land…” Yuki mumbled while she thought, “I guess I can”
Emu paused processing her answer, “wait– really?!” the creature nodded, already regretting her answer.
Emu, seeing the sad expression on her purplish eyes, she remarked quickly “B-but I'll come visit you when I can! I promise!!”
Yuki’s eyes lightened at her words, “really?” she asked in disbelief.
“Of course!!”
“How amusing~” she thought. “Where exactly do you live, Human?”
The pink haired girl proceeds to tell Yuki her beach house's address. “And that's where I'm spending my vacation with my family!”
“Alright” she slightly nodded, as she looked at her up and down once again, “how far can you swim?”
The young girl exclaimed excitedly, “very far!! I had the highest mark in my swimming class!!”
“Can you swim for 5 km?” the nymph asked once again.
Emus' face turned pale at her question, “… F-five km!?”
