Chapter 9
At hogwarts they watched the sorting ceremony and eating before seeing Ron Weasley glare with jealousy at Luna when Dumbledore announced that Luna had managed to skip a year and join 3rd year. Several Ravenclaws were also jealous, but remembered the punishment from Professor flitwickmfor for bullying her the year before and kept to themselves.
Lessons were going well, including a lesson on boggrts by a very weary professor that looked like his world had been destroyed, slowly repaired, then destroyed again and now he was only living for revenge against the one who destroyed his world.
Speedwing and Lightscale once were playing before hiding when he came through muttering about Sirius Black betraying his pack, and now Harry the child of one of his pack following in Black's footsteps while he was forbidden to contact him while he was growing up, and thus could not guide him to the light.
Upon telling Luna and Daphne they figured out by pack, that he was a werewolf, and Sirius Blqck, and James Potter must have been members of his pack.
"Makes sense." Daphne said. "My father once told me that there was a group of pranksters called the marauders with Sirius Black, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin. I had forgotten until now."
"They say Sirius betrayed the potters leading to their death, and killed Pettigrew himself." Luna remembered. "But my mom always thought something was wrong with that. She said Sirius and James were brothers in all but blood. She didn't think he would ever betray them, and she doesn't even remember Sirius having a trial."
"He was thrown in Azkaban without a trial!" Lightscale said in shock remembering the dementors that guard the place.
"He was a Black." Daphne said. "They were known for being Dark Wizards, maybe they thought he was just following his families evil, and didn't think the needed a trial?"
"So he could be innocent." Speedwing said. "Well, how do we find out the truth?"
"I don't know." Luna sighed not knowing that they would soon get the chance.
