Chapter 6
At the Rookery Speedwing, and Lightscale were given a tour by Luna, before settling down, and having fun for the summer. The best part was when they went on an expedition to find the Crumple Horned Snorkack. They were able to not only help look, but they were in areas far enough away for anyone else to practice their full sized forms, and elemental abilities. Speedwing could now cause lightning to flow over her whole body, like armor, and shoot it accurately at anything she could still see. Lightscale could breathe underwater, and could use the water as a dangerous whip controlled by her tail. Unfortunately all good things must end eventually.
In this case they came back at night on August 31, only to find a newspaper saying that Sirius Black had escaped from Azkaban, and was heading for Hogwarts while the Dementors searched for him. Most people believe he hasn't heard about Harry, since the only newspaper he had got ahold of was the one where the Weasleys won the Daily Prophet Galleon Draw, and used it to go to Egypt, which didn't mention Harry.
"who is Sirius Black?" Speedwing asked Lightscale, "And why would he be after me?"
"Dont know?" Lightscale said from where she was reading the paper she nicked after Lina and her dad finished, with Luna's dad heading to the printing press he used for the Quibbler. "It says here he is a death eater, so that could be why, but they also believe you are evil, and that he would join you when he found out, believing you to be the new dark lord. So I'm not sure how truthful it is."
"I guess we'll find out eventually." Speedwing said as Luna walked in ready for bed, and they curled up against her and went to sleep.
