Shining beacon p1 & 2
Everyone had a quick 15 minute lunch break and then began getting ready to watch the next episode.
The lights dimmed and Tv lit up.
The episode continues where they left off. Airships proceed to land on their docks near Beacon.
Right as the door opens, Jaunes runs out to find the nearest trash can to throw up in.
Yang and Ruby make their way off the ship and begin to marvel at the sight before them. “The view from Vale’s got nothing on this,” Yang says, crossing her arms in the process.
Ruby becomes 2-D and geeks over everyone’s weapons, Yang just looks at her sister weirdly. “Oh, sis! That kid’s got a collapsible staff, and she’s got a fire sword!” Ruby starts drifting away, Yang being the one having to reel her back into reality by her hood.
Weiss smiled fondly while Ruby looked embarrassed at her past self.
“Easy there little sister, they’re just weapons.” Ruby took this as an offense, “Just weapons? They’re an extension of ourselves, they’re a part of us! Oh, they’re so cool.”
Changes to only show Yang, “Well, why can’t you swoon over your own weapon, are you happy with it?” The sound of metal is heard before going back to Ruby. “Of course, I’m happy with Crescent Rose, I just really like seeing new ones. It’s like meeting new people, but better.”
“What do you mean by that?” Simon asked.
“She has social anxiety and is very shy” Weiss replied.
“Ruby, come one. Why don’t you try and go make some friends of your own?” Yang says, grabbing Ruby’s hood and pulling it down over her sister’s head.
“But why would I need friends when I have you?” She says, correcting her hood.
“Well, actually my friends are here now, gotta go catch up. Kay see you bye!” Yang left very quickly.
“Peter would never do that,” Henry's mum said.
“Her name is Yang,” Ruby replied.
“Wait, where are you going?”
Yang and four others run off. Yang zooms past Ruby, causing her to spin around, leaving her dizzy. Yang and her friends only get farther and farther away.
“Wait, aren’t we supposed to go to our dorms?” Ruby yells after Yang. “Where are our dorms? Do we have dorms? I don’t know what I’m doing.” Ruby continues to back up, until she trips over a luggage cart, falling to the ground with the suitcases flying everywhere.
“I-I'm sorry” Weiss apologized in advance.
“It's okay, I forgave you” Ruby replied.
Everyone else was confused on what Weiss was apologizing for.
The camera zooms back, showing a white shoe. “What are you doing!?” Comes Weiss’s voice.
Ruby raises her head, and faces the girl, “Sorry.” Weiss just yells out at her in outrage, “‘Sorry’!? Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?”
Everyone looked at Weiss on screen and the one they just met was confused on her behavior.
Ruby hands Weiss one of the suitcases, but she just rudely takes it from her hands. “Give me that! This is dust, mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry. What are you, braindead? Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy!” Weiss shakes around the dust capsule that isn’t fully closed.
Ruby proceeds to inhale the dust through both her mouth and nose. “Are you even listening? Is any of this sinking in?”
Weiss looked away with guilt in her chest.
“What do you have to say for yourself?” That dust was the last straw as Ruby let out an enormous sneeze. Causing a massive explosion with fire, ice, and a little bit of lightning.
“Before anyone says anything, this is the past, we're okay now” Weiss reassured.
The dust capsule flew in the air and bounced over to Blake’s feet. She picked up the capsule while reading her book. She turned the capsule to see a snowflake. Turning to face the sound of Weiss screaming at Ruby.
“Unbelievable!” Weiss is covered in soot everywhere. “This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about.” Ruby is standing in front of her silent, twiddling her index fingers together. “I’m really, really sorry!”
“You complete dolt!” Weiss shouted.
Ruby looked down and put her head on Weiss’s shoulder.
“What’re you even doing here? Aren’t you a little young to be attending Beacon?”
Even if Weiss said it as an insult she was impressed by how she got into beacon early.
“Well, I-uh I…” Ruby looks down nervously, and Weiss only continues berating her. “This isn’t your ordinary combat school. It’s not just sparring and practice you know. We’re here to fight monsters, so watch where you’re going!”
It was then Ruby began to stand up for herself and talk back. “Hey, I said I was sorry Princess!”
It was then that Blake joined the argument between the two. “It’s heiress actually. Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. One of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world.”
“Finally, some recognition-” Weiss continued, but Blake wasn’t quite finished yet. “The same company, infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners.”
“I deserved that especially because it's my father's doing” Weiss said while smiling.
“Wha-! How dare-! The nerve…!” Weiss snatches the capsule and storms off in a huff. Ruby calls after her, trying to deflate the situation, “I promise I’ll make this up to you!” Weiss doesn't turn around and continues her stride.
“I guess I’m not the only one having a rough first day.”
Ruby bounces back, “So what’s…” But trails off when she sees Blake walking away.
Ruby drops to her knees and just lies on her back, “Welcome to Beacon.” Closing her eyes before she is met with a shadow.
She looks up to see Jaune, lending out his hand for Ruby to take. “Hey, I’m Jaune.” the blonde boy introduced himself.
Ruby smiled at when she first met her first friend.
Ruby gratefully takes his hand, “Ruby.” She then snorts asking, “Aren’t you the guy that threw up on the ship?”
The two are walking side by side down a stone path. “All I’m saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on.”
“Look, I’m sorry, Vomit-Boy was the first thing that came to mind.” Jaune just scoffed, “Oh yeah? Well, what if I called you Crater-Face.”
“Hey! That explosion was an accident!”
“Well, the name’s Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it.”
Weiss let out a groan at that.
“Do they?” Ruby asked with a deadpan expression.
“They will, well, I hope they will. I mean, my mom always says that… never mind.” He waves his hand towards Ruby, dropping the subject.
“Sooo, I got this thing,” Ruby says, pulling out Crescent Rose.
“Do you usually introduce your weapon like that?” Weiss asked.
“No,” Ruby replied.
Jaune jumps back in surprise, “Woah! Is that a scythe?”
“It’s also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle.” Jaune blanks and Ruby tries again. “It’s also a gun.” Jaune lets out a noise of understanding. “That’s cool!”
“Wow, since when were you smart?~” Moody Margaret asked.
Ruby asks excitedly, “So what do you got?”
“I got this sword.” Ruby looks at it with amazement, “Yeah, I got a shield too.”
“So what do they do?” Ruby asks as Jaune retracts his shield, but just drops it. “The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it… I can just put it away.”
“But wouldn't it weigh the same?” Jaune just nods and confirms it disappointingly.
“Well, I’m kinda a dork when it comes to weapons, I guess I did go a little overboard designing it.” This gives Jaune pause, “Wait, you made that?”
“Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons. Didn’t you make yours?” Jaune takes a look at the sword before answering, “It’s a hand-me-down. My Great-great grandfather used it to fight in the war.”
“Y-you made that?” Ralph said in shock.
“Yep!” Ruby proudly said.
“That's cool mate,” Ralph replied.
“Sounds more like a family heirloom to me. Well, I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days.” Ruby says, trying to reassure the boy. It has the desired effect when Jaune lets out a small chuckle. “Yeah, the classics.”
Changing the subject, Ruby asked Jaune. “So, why’d you help me out back there, in the courtyard.”
“Eh, why not. My mom always says, ``strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.”Ruby then asked Jaune the big question, “Hey, where are we going?” Jaune shrugged, “Oh I don’t know, I was following you.”
Weiss nearly facepalmed at that.
The screen starts to fade.
“You think there might be a directory, maybe a food court? Some sort of recognizable landmark?”
Ruby just continues to snort as Jaune keeps the questions going.
“Is that a ‘no’?”
Ruby answers plain and simple, “That’s a no.”

Naya:Next episode!
The TV played the continuation.
Ruby and Jaune were seen walking into a large mess hall. A bunch of kids were in the crowd, with Yang being the most noticeable because she actually had color. “Ruby! Over here, I saved you a spot!” Yang waved to her sister, getting her attention.
“Oh, hey, I gotta go, see you after the ceremony!” Ruby was off, Jaune trying to get her attention back. “Hey, wait! Ah great, where am I supposed to find another nice quirky girl to talk to?”
Ruby giggled at that.
As Jaune walks away, Pyrrha is shown. Watching Jaune walk away.
‘Pyrrha’ Ruby and Weiss thought, trying to not let the tears out.
Yang is standing next to her sister, who is crossing her arms and frowning at Yang. “How’s your first day going little sister?” Ruby responds angrily, “You mean since you ditched me and I exploded?”
“Your anger is understandable,” Simon said.
“Yikes, meltdown already?” Yang asked.
“No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school. And there was some fire, and I think some ice.” Yang just leans in with a teasing smile, “Are you being sarcastic?”
“Nope, she isn't also this is a whole 180 towards Yang's past life personality” Ralph pointed out.
Ruby scoffed, “I wish, I tripped over some crabby girl’s luggage and then she yelled at me and then I sneezed and then I exploded.” As she was going on, Weiss was being made known behind her. “And then she yelled again, and I felt really, really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me.”
Weiss had a guilty look on her face.
“I'm sorry Ruby” Weiss apologized once again but Ruby brushed it off like it was nothing.
“You!” Weiss yells at Ruby, to which the small girl hops into her sister's arms. “Oh god, it’s happening again!”
“You’re lucky we weren’t blown off the side of the cliff.” Yang dawns on the realization. “Oh my God, you really exploded.”
Ruby released herself from Yang’s arms. “It was an accident, it was an accident!”
Weiss then places a pamphlet in Ruby’s face, the title reading ‘Dust for Dummies’. “The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustainable operating a Schnee Dust Company product. Although, not mandatory. The Schnee Family highly encourages their customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy-to-follow guide of dust application practice in the field.”
“You know, now that we know how much of a jackass your so-called dad is, did he forcefully make you memorize that or was that out of boredom?” Ruby asked with curiosity in her eyes.
“He made me memorize it” Weiss let out a sigh.
Ruby voiced her confusion, “Um, what?”
“You really want to start making things up to me?” Ruby answered apprehensively “Absolutely.” Weiss shoved the pamphlet in Ruby’s arms, “Read this, and don’t ever speak to me again.”
“Look, uh, it sounds like you got off on the wrong foot. Why don’t you start over and try to be friends, okay?” Yang suggested.
“Yeah, great idea sis. Hello Weiss, I’m Ruby, want to hang out? We could go shopping for school supplies.” Weiss responded with a stupid amount of sarcasm. “Yeah! And we can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys like tall, blonde, and scraggly over there.” Weiss says, pointing her thumb back at Jaune, who only looked at the conversation with confusion.
Ruby, thinking she’s serious, asks excitedly “Wow really?”
Weiss answers with the most deadpan expression, “NO.”
“You are really hard to please, you know that?” Ruby asked.
“I am not!” Weiss scoffed but smiled softly.
Someone coughs into the microphone and all their attention is brought to Ozpin. “I’ll keep this brief, you have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But, I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose.”
“Direction, you assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.” Ozpin begins to walk away from the stage and Glynda takes his place. “You will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready, you are dismissed.”
The camera goes back to Weiss, Yang, and Ruby. Jaune, who was in the background, walks off-screen. “He seemed…off,” Yang says. “It was almost like he wasn’t even there,” Ruby continues.
Jaune comes back on screen and directs his statement at Jaune, “I’m a natural blond y’know.” Weiss just brings a hand to her face.
It’s nighttime at Beacon. And all students have their sleeping bags out in the ballroom.
Ruby is in her PJs, writing in her journal, and Yang crashes down next to her. But it looked like that landing would have hurt, “It’s like a big slumber party!”
Ruby responds without looking up from her writing, “I don’t think Dad would approve of all the boys though.”
“I know I do,” Yang continues with a smirk. The camera shows three shirtless men. One was in a headlock with another and the other showing off his muscles. But Yang’s vision is ruined when Jaune comes waltzing with his one-piece PJs. Yang’s smirk falls into a cringe.
“What’s that?” Yang asks when seeing Ruby continue to write. “A letter to the gang back at Signal, I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going.”
“Aww, that’s so cute!” Yang babysits her sister, but Ruby retaliates by throwing a pillow in her sister’s face. “Shut up! I didn’t get to take my friends with me to school. It’s weird not knowing anyone here.”
“I agree….I never really had friends before” Weiss mumbled.
“What about Jaune? He’s nice?” She says as if it’s a question.
“There you go! Plus one friend, that's a 100% increase.” It was then Ruby moved, turning from her stomach to her back with her arms pillowing her head. “Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend, back to zero.”
“There’s no such thing as negative friends. You just made one friend and one enemy.” Of course, this got Yang another pillow to the face.
“We're not enemies anymore!” Ruby stated while Weiss softly smiled.
“Look, it's only been one day, trust me you got friends all around you. You just haven’t met them yet.” The glow of a flame catches the girl’s attention. The two sit up to see Blake, reading.
“That girl…” Ruby said.
“You know her?” Yang asked.
“Not really, she saw what happened this morning, but left before I could say anything.” Yang then grabs Ruby’s arm, “Welp, now’s your chance.” Ruby calls out in protest. “Wait, what are you doing?”
The screen changes to show Blake looking up from her book, wondering what the noise was. Only looked to see Yang dragging a grumpy Ruby over to her. “Hell~oooo!”
Ruby finally freed herself from her sister, but Yang didn’t pay any heed. “I believe you two may know each other?” Blake responds questioningly, “Aren’t you that girl who exploded?”
“Uh, yeah. My name is Ruby, but you can just call me crater- actually you could just call me Ruby.”
The kids in the room cringed at that.
“Since when were you this awkward?” Margaret asked.
Blake doesn’t look up from her book, “Ok.” Realizing this wasn’t worth any of her time. Yang ‘whispers’ to her sister, being completely heard by Blake. “What are you doing?” “I don’t know, help me.” The two turn back to Blake with big creepy smiles. “So, what’s your name?”
“Knowing she could hear that because of her you know what is embarrassing” Ruby mumbled with embarrassment blushing on her face.
Blake sighs and gives Yang a single glance, “Blake.” “Well Blake, I’m Yang, Ruby’s older sister, I like your bow.” Blake’s voice sounds like it came out as a hiss, “Thanks.” Yang just keeps talking, sounding more awkward each second, “It goes great with your Pajamas.”
“Right…” Yang and Ruby return nervous glances with each other. “Nice night, don’t you think?” Blake at that moment, has enough of the two. “Yes, it’s lovely, almost as lovely as this book.”
…
“That I will continue to read.”
…
“As soon as you leave.”
“Man, we're really oblivious to social cues aren't we?” Ruby asked.
“Yes,yes you both are but mainly you” Weiss replied which made Ruby pout.
“Yeah, this girl’s a lost cause.” Ruby ignored her sister, “What’s it about?” Blake looks surprised. “Your book, does it have a name?”
“Well, it’s about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body.”
Yang looks uninterested, “Oh yeah, that’s real lovely.”
“I love books, Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters, they’re one of the reasons I want to be a huntress.” Blake gave a small chuckle, “Why is that? Hoping you’ll live happily ever after?”
“Well, I’m hoping we all will.”
“As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books. Someone who fought for what was right and who protected people who couldn’t protect themselves.”
Blake finally begins to set her book down, “That’s very ambitious for a child, unfortunately, the real world isn’t the same as a fairytale.”
“Well, that’s why we’re here, to make it better.” Yang coos in admiration, and brings her into a large hug, “I’m so proud of my baby sister!” Ruby yells at Yang to cut it out. She punches Yang in the face before the two get themselves into a cartoonish scruffle.
Ruby smiled at the memory while Weiss giggled.
“Well, Ruby, Yang, it’s a pleasure to-” Blake was cut off by Weiss, and that was when the two girls stopped, Ruby holding onto Yang's foot. “What in the world is going on over here? Don’t you realize some of us are trying to sleep?” Yang and Weiss make eye contact and yell at the same time, “Oh no, not you again!”
Ruby shushes them both, “Guys she’s right, people are trying to sleep.”
“Oh, now you’re on my side.” Weiss said.
Blake realizing she wasn’t going to get any reading done, puts down her book.
“I was always on your side!” Ruby replied.
“Yeah, what’s your problem with my sister, she’s just being nice!” Yang argued.
Weiss screams back, “She's a hazard to my health!”
Blake grabs the candelabra and blows out the flames. And the screen goes black.
“That's the excuse you came up with?” Miss Battle-Ax raised an eyebrow.
