Violet Frosted Cupcakes
For the past few days, Vi and Caitlyn had been working together, trying to come up with a solid case to present in court (the date is next Friday).
Vi had been going to Caitlyn's place, since Caitlyn's had claimed, “your office is too small to work in,” and ever since then, Vi has been going to the Kiramman mansion every night.
Tonight, Vi sits at Caitlyn’s desk, looking over files on Maddie Nolen, and occasionally glancing at the video on her laptop, the porno of Caitlyn.
Caitlyn walked up behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “How’s it going?”
Vi lifted her head and gave Caitlyn a tired smile, pausing the video. “Okay, but these files are so squeaky clean I just… I can't even wrap my head around it. It doesn't make sense.”
Caitlyn noticed the video paused on the laptop. “Seriously, Violet?” she questioned with a sigh.
Vi glanced at the video and sighed too. “C’mon, Cupcake… this whole lawsuit is over this video, I have to look for anything we can use against her.”
“I know, I know…” Caitlyn responded, shaking her head with resignation. “I just… I don't like people watching it. Especially you of all people…”
Vi nodded and closed the laptop, “you're right, Cait. I'm sorry.”
Caitlyn let out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding and gave Vi’s shoulder a gentle rub. “Are you hungry? You've been here for hours,” she questioned with slight concern.
Vi just shook her head, “I'm okay.”
Caitlyn continued to gently rub Vi’s shoulder, “I think you should eat something.”
“Caitlyn, I'm not worried about my eating habits right now.”
“Well I am!” Caitlyn snapped.
Vi was slightly taken aback by the way Caitlyn had snapped at her. She’d never done that before. Vi shakes her head faintly and clears her throat, “okay, okay. I'll eat.”
Caitlyn relaxed and took her hand off of Vi’s shoulder, “thank you.”

Vi and Caitlyn sit on the couch eating takeout Chinese, which was Caitlyn’s choice. Files and papers are spread out over the coffee table and a hallmark rom-com is playing on the TV.
“Hey, Cupcake?” Vi asked.
“Hm?” Caitlyn responded, mouth full of noodles.
“You have this whole mansion yet you eat on the couch. Why?”
Caitlyn shrugged and swallowed her food, “I like to watch TV while I eat.”
V raised an eyebrow, “Can't you just watch a movie on your phone.”
“I like it better like this,” Caitlyn responded firmly.
Vi shrugged and shoved a piece of chicken into her mouth, deciding to drop the topic.
“Vi?” questioned Caitlyn.
“Yeah?” Vi responded.
Caitlyn gazes down at her food, poking noodles with her fork. “Why do you call me cupcake?”
Vi shrugs and takes a bite of chicken, smirking, “because you're sweet. Like a cupcake.”
Caitlyn rolled her eyes and went back to eating and watching the movie. “Goodness, this movie sucks…”
“I don't even know why you put it on,” Vi chuckled.
“Oh shut up,” Caitlyn retorted, giving Vi a light slap on the arm.
Vi chucked again and continued eating.
The two of them ate the rest of their food, eyes on the TV, until they're containers were empty.

Caitlyn leaned against the doorframe with a soft smile on her face. “You sure you gotta go?” she asked as if she didn't want Vi to leave.
Vi smiles softly back, “I'm sure, Cupcake. But I'll be back tomorrow, as always.”
Caitlyn let out a soft chuckle, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. “Thank you, Vi. Truly.”
Vi gave her a genuine smile and replied, “anytime, Cupcake. You're my favorite client.”
Caitlyn chuckled, beginning to shut the door. “I'll keep that in mind, Violet.”
Vi smiled and gave Caitlyn a wave before turning to leave, “see ya tomorrow, Cait.”
Caitlyn gave Vi a smile and wave before shutting the door and leaning against it, a giddy smile on her face.
