Meet the Author
This is my very first fanfiction, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! I’ve always loved the Harry Potter series, and after reading the books multiple times, I decided to give writing a try. I hope you enjoy this new take on the story as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it! My plan is to rewrite the entire series, from Book 1 to Book 7, with a few twists and additions along the way. I’ve also been considering adding an extra book or two, but I’m not entirely sure yet. If I decide to go ahead with it, I’ll make sure to let you know in the author’s notes at the end of each chapter.
Now, onto some of the changes I’m making in this version. For one, I’ve decided to give Draco and Harry a sister. I know this might be a bit unexpected, but I’ve always loved the idea of Harry having a sibling, especially if Lily had lived. It just felt right for me to include this element in my version of the story. In my fanfiction, both Lily and James, along with Regulus, are still alive. Voldemort has already been defeated, and I’ll go into more detail about how that happened in the first real chapter. I’m really excited to share the backstory with you all and dive deeper into this alternate timeline I’ve created.
As for the sisters: Draco’s sister is one year younger than him, so she won’t play a huge role in the first book, but she will be important later on. Her name is Aquila, which is the name of a star—continuing the Black family tradition of naming their children after constellations. I wanted her name to fit into the world of the Blacks, and Aquila just felt perfect.
Harry’s sister is also one year younger than him, and her name is Lucia, which is a Latino name. In my version of the story, James is Latino, which means Harry is as well. This will also affect some aspects of the characters’ backgrounds and culture throughout the series. I’ve also made the Black family French (Narcissa, Draco, Regulus, and Sirius), so there will be some interesting cultural dynamics at play
