Chapter 1

Izuku yawned as he walked towards Purrrfect Pawfee. He'd been up late the night before studying. He knew the entrance exams were in a couple months and even if he knew he was smart, he still worried about them because of his status. He had left in person schooling when his mother left during highschool and went online. Mama mika was a huge help getting him set up with everything and letting him help out around the cafe during the week to earn a bit of money. He had his inheritance, and it was substantial but still. He didn't like being still, too much energy and his mind never stopped being loud. Well almost never.

He walked into the cafe and looked around. He saw a few people scattered around but ignored them. “Hitoshiiiiiii.” He whined as he wandered to a table. “Make my brain shut up!”

The purple haired exhausted looking man sighed as he came out of the kitchens. “Really Izuku? You just come in here whining and shit like that?”

Izuku sighed, “Ye…” And his mind went quiet. His entire body relaxing under the quirk of his best friend. No more thoughts, no more anxiety or bad thoughts, just floating. This is what he needed right then.

Hitoshi shook his head as he watched his friend's entire being relax into the booth he sat in. He could feel the stress leave him as he went about cleaning some of the tables. It was because of Izuku he could hold his quirk for so long. He held it for an hour before the strain was too much and had to let it go. “Feeling better?”

Izuku stretched and sighed, “So much better. My professor is being a dickhead. Keeps saying I'm cheating and shit on my assignments.” He grinned seeing the coffee and sweet treats on the table in front of him. He did a bit of a happy dance.”

“Cute..” A deep voice whispered from the booth across from him.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes at the man. “Uncle Shou, don't say shit like that.” He grumbled and walked away.

Izuku blushed lightly and looked away. Eraserhead just said he was cute? What the fuck was going on with the world? Did he die? Yeah that must be it, he was dead. He pulled out his laptop and opened it, getting it ready to do some more work. He grumbled softly to himself as he angrily typed out yet another email to his Dean of administration about his professor and the treatment he was getting. It was tiring.

Shouta watched the man closely, he was cute. The smattering of freckles, the messy green almost black hair, the eyes that seemed to shine and.. Well he had to admit, the man's physique was stunning, he wondered what he'd look like under him, a crying mess… Nope, definitely not the time to have those thoughts. He snorted as he watched a small three legged kitten climb up the man and settle in his hair happily, looking like he was reading whatever he was doing.

Shouta got up and walked back to the counter and got another coffee. He was curious about this man, he seemed comfortable in his sister's cafe, and knew his nephew. Once he had his new drink he walked over and slid into the booth across from him. “So, come here often?” Okay Shouta, that was incredibly lame as hell, “I see you've got an Interesting partner there, is he helping much?”

Izuku blinked and looked up, seeing the dark haired God of a hero sitting across from him. He blinked a few more times before he realized he had a cat on his head, “Yup, he's a great beta reader for all my coursework. I'd be lost without him.” He chuckled softly when the kitten meowed as if proudly agreeing with him. “And yeah, couple times a week now for.. Years. I found the place while in middle school. How about you? I’d think an underground hero like you would be asleep at this time of day.”

Shouta was shocked that the man recognized him. He chuckled softly at his smart assed remark though, “Well, my sister owns the place and since I'm helping my nephew get ready for the entrance exams, I come for the coffee.” He looked the man over, “What kind of course work are you doing? You seemed kind of annoyed earlier.”

Izuku huffed, “Yeah, I'm working on a degree in analysis and quirk science but one of my professors is being an asshole because he doesn't like having someone quirkless in his class, so he's making things difficult for me.” He really hated quirkist people.

Once again Shouta was shocked, “Have you gone to the Dean about his treatment? They shouldn't be discriminating like that.” He told the man, wow, cute and smart, good combination. Shouta really wanted to get to know him better. “So, how'd you know who I was? Not many people know. Or did Hitoshi tell you?”

Izuku hummed, “Yeah, the Dean has a quirkless daughter so he's trying to help me. The professor'll probably end up fired if he keeps it up. I'm hoping to finish this course before UA exams, so I don't have to split my focus.” Then he felt his cheeks head a little, “You've always been my favorite hero.. I didn't know you were Toshi's uncle until now though. It's not hard to recognize you when you're wearing your capture weapon.”

“Just kiss already! God!” Hitoshi yelled from the kitchen where he'd been helping his ma prepare some things.

A soft chuckle as he hid his own blush behind said capture weapon. He glared towards the kitchen but the deep crimson on the man's face made him wonder. “Would you like to go for dinner this weekend?” He asked, “I'd love to get to know you better, away from my asshole nephew.”

Izuku felt his stomach do flip flops as he was asked out. He had no clue why such an amazing hero would ask him out but Fuck it, he was gonna take a chance for once in his life. “I'd.. I'd really like that. My name's Izuku by the way.”

Shouta smiled a soft smile, “Shouta Aizawa, nice to meet you.” Oh he couldn't wait to take this sweet bunny rabbit on a date.

Months later

Izuku was still on cloud nine as he walked into the school for the entrance exams. He and Shouta had been dating since that day at the cafe and it was amazing. The other man was so.. Caring and loving while also being so commanding and dominant. It was perfect for Izuku.

“Seriously? Could you please stop smiling like a lunatic because of my uncle?” Hitoshi asked when he saw Izuku.

“Nope! Too damn bad, you and my cousin are so stupidly lovey too, and I have to watch that shit so imma keep smiling my dopey smile." Izuku stuck his tongue out at Hitoshi as they headed into the exam room.

“Kami I hate you.” He grumbled softly, “But really Zu, I'm glad to see you both so happy. It's nice.” His friend and uncle deserved happiness and love.

“Thanks Toshi, it's been amazing. I still don't know how the hell it happened but I'm so damn happy. His friends are great too.” He told him as they sat down, “So, how do you think this is gonna go?”

“You're gonna finish the written test within half an hour tops, and then find something on the testing site to demolish everything and get top scores” Hitoshi said after a moment to think.

He rolled his eyes, “Yes to the written cause I know most of the stuff is Gen Ed based. But I'm not so sure about the practical.” He'd been under so much damn stress the last few months he knew he was running on fumes. Shouta saw it and worried but there wasn't much they could do to fix it. Not yet at least. Plus, the night before he'd been attacked by a hate group coming back from a gathering. So he was still in a shit ton of pain even if he was hiding it really well.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes, “Nope, none of that. You've worked really hard to get here today. Keep the bad thoughts away or I'm gonna get the spray bottle again.”

Izuku was about to say something more but ectoplasm came out and started the exam process. Izuku wiggled a bit in excitement hoping for some sort of challenge with the exam. He smiled in thanks to the clone that handed him his booklet. He let himself zone into focus as he began to work. The questions weren't hard at all and he grumbled a bit as he worked. Like Hitoshi said, before the half hour mark Izuku was finished. He went through his answers again and double checked everything before he got up and headed to the front.

After the written exams he went and got something to eat before the practical. When he was back in the auditorium he sat back and waited. When Present Mic came out he and Hitoshi grinned and yelled “YEAH!”  back to him, knowing how much he hated the silence he always got. He rolled his eyes when some blue haired man stood up and started bitching about something before he turned and started scolding Izuku. He flipped the man off before Hizashi got things back on track. He really hated people sometimes.

Hitoshi and Izuku split up and headed for their cities. Izuku began to stretch out as he waited, he heard explosions and stiffened, also feeling eyes on him. He took deep breaths and calmed himself. He couldn't let Bakugou or random people distract him. As soon as the gates opened izuku moved and ran into the city. He had to be fast.

Shouta leaned back in his seat as he waited. He had to ignore the annoying blonde buffoon sitting in the same room as he was. When the screens flicked on he shifted his weight to see them better. He frowned when he saw izuku, something was wrong. “He's standing like he's hurt.” He mumbled to himself.

“The green bean?” Nemuri said with a frown as she looked at the screen. “Yeah, it looks like somethings going on with his ribs.. Did something happen?” she'd gotten to know the green haired man over the last couple months. She liked him.

“I don't think so, we haven't been able to see each other much the last couple weeks because of the exams here and he has a few online too.” Shouta said as he watched his partner. He shook his head softly as the gates opened and he watched Izuku run into the city. He smirked as he watched him destroying robots by pulling out wires left and right. He noticed the man was getting electrical burns on his hands and would have to fuss over him.

As he watched he was kind of annoyed when he saw some explosive blonde constantly making moves towards Izuku. He was smart and made it look like he was going after robots, but Shouta knew better. Then there were another two guys that did the same. He wasn't happy in any way.

“What's the green man's quirk? He hasn't used it at all, is he not trying?" Yagi asked as he watched the screens. “The blonde with the explosions seems like a wonderful candidate though.”

Nedzu cackled softly, “Izuku Midoriya, he's quirkless actually.”

Yagi's eyes widened as he looked at the mammal, “Quirkless? He shouldn't be down there! He's going to get hurt!” he said

Shouta huffed, “He's doing fine, if the other assholes would stop trying to attack him he'd be doing better. I fight quirkless most of the time.”

“Yes but you have a quirk, young Aizawa! Quirkless people cannot be heroes! They are fundamentally weaker than those with quirks.” Yagi said as if his words were the most rational thing in the world.

“He has enough points Yagi, he will be allowed in the hero course. Though, after seeing his scores he will be my personal student instead of a normal hero student.” Nedzu smirked and many of the staff shivered. “Now for the zero pointer!”

Izuku was tired of being attacked. Bakugou had landed several explosions on him already, and then there were two other guys that kept making sure he was hit with debris and shit. He was in so much pain and he could feel his body shaking. He stopped for a minute to catch his breath and the ground began to shake. He looked around and swore as he saw the massive zero pointer robot. Then he saw a woman trapped under some rubble. He ran against the crowd running away to help her. “It'll be okay, can you move?”

Uraraka shook her head, “No.. My foot’s pinned, I think it's broken..” She said softly, tears in her eyes. Izuku nodded and quickly analyzed the situation as the robot moved closer. He worked fast and moved the debris getting the woman free. He went to hand her to another exam taker when he heard something. Once the woman was out of his arms he saw a mass amount of concrete falling towards them. He felt someone shove him towards the falling rubble and cried out as his head was hit by a large slab of it and then he was buried. His vision went dim and then black.

Shouta screamed as he watched his partner be buried by half a building. His heart shattering and his quirk active as he watched the screens. “Izuku! Someone get down there! We need to get him out!”

“Like I said, young Aizawa, he would be a liability on the field. He should not have been down there.” Yagi huffed
