Chapter 1
Sirius and Remus have been friends together who have lived together for years. They make money off reviewing products and uploading their review to Vidventures, a video uploading site. Food subscription companies give Sirius and Remus a free box trial to check their brand out.
Out of the two of them, Sirius was techy. He had a studio in their apartment that was meant for only his tech equipment. He wasn’t the best cook, but he could cook minimally. Of the two of them, Remus was the cook.
“When does our shipment arrive?” Remus asked while he was getting a beer from the fridge.
Sirius glanced at his phone then checked his email. “It just says today. Normally, you don’t see the exact time.” He explained. Remus just shrugged then sat back down on the couch to watch some TV. After Sirius grabbed his beer, he sat next to Remus. Too close. Remus thought, then eyed his best friend. Did he know how close he was? He gritted his teeth.
“You alright, mate?” Siris asked, then raised his right eyebrow. Remus bit his lips then nodded while staring at the TV.
Hours later, there was a knock on the door. “Finally!” Remus said with a sigh. He was about to stand, but Sirius rushed towards the door before he could.
“I’ve got this.” Sirius grinned at him then opened the door. The box was just left in front of the door.
He scooted the box inside the apartment. “Looks like this subscription service is from Fit Fresh,” Sirius muttered while Remus walked over towards him.
“Oh, does that mean we will be getting healthier options?” Remus’s eyebrow furrowed.
“Let’s see, shall we?” Sirius left the box there when he left to fetch his portable camera.
Remus grabbed the scissors and opened the box. Sirius came back and turned on the camera. “Action!”
Remus rolled his eyes while opening the box. “I see this one comes with an insulator that’s recyclable. But then again, I feel that all of them are recyclable.” He ranted as he took out the bags. “Looks like they gave us two to try this time. Remus took out one bag and showed it to the camera.
“Fish tacos. Yum!” Sirius gushed.
Remus sighed. “But that’s like nothing special.” He shrugged then pulled out the other bag. “Tempeh felafel?” Remus rubbed his forehead then brought the bag towards the camera.
“Let’s open these bad boys!” Sirius said excitedly. Remus brought the bags to the kitchen counter while Sirius followed. He took out the instructions for the fish tacos.
“This seems simple enough. Come over here so you can zoom in on the ingredient list of the recipe.” Remus suggested “It looks like everything here is organic too.” He muttered then took out the rice, tomatoes, onion, lime, fish, seasoning, black beans.
“Look it even comes with a package of already made guacamole!” Sirius said with excitement.
“Yes, but it would’ve been fun to make the guacamole ourselves.” Remus suggested.
“Oh come off it, people like me don’t have the time to make guacamole.” Sirius said suggested. “I want to eat this for dinner tonight!” He announced.
“Fine, I’ll put the other meal away then.” Remus said.
