Note
I do not own Harry Potter, the world of Harry Potter, or any and all official characters from the Harry Potter series itself. J.K Rowling, the woman behind the series, owns this genre, along with other companies and whatnot that help make this series enjoyable in the world. I also do not own ANY other characters from whatever manga, anime, video game, TV series, or movies that emerge in these various chapters. I also don't own anything else like Vocaloid references or music references. All I own is any of my usual Original Characters that may popup, and whatever else I create out of the figment of my imagination. This is something I would call a dump site for any shorts I do that may or may not have a plot (or if they do it's the size of a Snitch). Anything can exist in this little book of mine.(All Relationship tags listed are what is commonly encountered. However, there are other Relationships that are not publicly listed due to AO3's 75 Tag Limit. That also includes any other Characters as well as Fandoms.)

Sterling Smith

Sterling Smith was the man's name. And he didn't imagine finding a child discarded like trash on someone's foot step of their front door.

You see, he was an unassuming young man who lived a single life, worked an unassuming everyday joe's job, but had wished to always be able to have children and raise a family of his own. Sadly, an incident occurred in his teenage years that rendered him infertile so he would never be able to have biological children. But one late morning on a rare day off work he was jogging around the neighborhood when he hears crying. He stops to see the noise coming from what looked like a fancy wicker basket. Knowing that he was trespassing onto the yard, he got closer and was stunned. It was a baby. A crying baby wrapped in a gold and maroon-colored blanket. He reached in and picked up the crying baby and the baby calmed down upon being picked up.

"Now who would do this to you?"

His gut was telling him that this child needed medical attention. Thankfully his home was two blocks down the street so he grabbed the basket which had a hand-woven handle attached, held the baby in his other arm securely and hurried back home so he could get into his car and drive to the local hospital.

Now, by doing this, Sterling Smith had forever altered the destiny of a child who was being proclaimed the savior of the British Wizarding World. By taking the orphaned child away before his aunt and uncle could be forced to take the boy in and thus activate runes and wards constructed by an doddering old man who sits high in his magic castle (also a magic school), Harry Potter would soon grow up as Harry Smith, Sterling's adopted son, and also living in America when at the age of four his father would sell their home and move out of country.

This one act completely changed the world, and all for the better, ultimately. Thankfully, in this life, he has his best friend, a British-born girl named Hermione Granger, who would grow up with him together in the same neighborhood in their Kansas City home in the United States of America - especially once they were seven and both the Smith and Granger families were introduced to America's wizarding society.
