Chapter One
Nemo got out of his bed and proceeded to explore his new home. He had just moved to be closer to Dory, one of his best friends. Nemo journeyed to see his father, but he was nowhere to be found. The lights flickered as cold feet brushed across his left fin. Startled, Nemo looked around for the owner of the juicy toes. He glanced up, only to see his father Marlin clutched in the hands of a shadowy, noseless, creature. He is forced next to his father by a pair of large, strong hands. He is passed from the grip of this fearsome Lord to the backpack of a springy blue monkey. After a few hours of bouncing around in the watertight sack, The Monkey drags open a pair of heavy wooden doors before dumping the two fish into a fish tank where a blue fish already sat.
“Dory!?” Nemo gasps, tired from his long and unwanted journey
“Nemo?” Dory responded, not having been expecting to see the orange clownfish so far away from his home
“And you brought Marlin? What are you all doing here?” Dory blushed as she spoke trying not to show her admiration for the Larger, more dominant, and fatherly fish beside him.
The pair explained their situation, although this job fell primarily to Nemo as Marlin still seemed rather shaken up from their adventures. After Dory felt she had shown an appropriate amount of compassion for their troubles, she began to explain how the castle worked to the pair. She told them about Remy, the rat who hid laxatives in the food of Edward and Jasper, two vampires who were also staying at the castle. Apparently, this was needed as they always looked constipated due to their vegetarian diet. The cooks hated this as it was a hassle to deal with, but No one was more horrified by their diets than Moldy Voldy, the man who Dory said had kidnapped him. He was a dark lord of feet pics but was very selective in choosing acquaintances and only really liked people who eat fear, unlike the blood Edward and Jasper eat. At the castle, there was a rather scandalous relationship between Remy and Scabbers, who was another rat. They were one of few public, confirmed relationships, and seemed to be involved in everything anyone did. This, of course, meant that when a rumor spread that Scabbers had been sucking Moldy Voldy’s toes, There were few who hesitated to relentlessly attack the pair and none who cared to stop the others. They were so fierce in their conviction, that what all had considered meaningless gossip turned out to be true, and Scabbers soon left Remy, saying he could never give him the joy Moldy Voldy’s left pinky toe did. Dory had just concluded the briefing by offhandedly mentioning how grievous Remy was because of the situation when they were called for dinner and rolled down by servants.
“They aren’t done yet, but Voldy’s adding corridors of water for us to travel around in. Actually, though, I think he said they’d be done tonight so you’re in luck!” Dory said as they bumped down the cold stone stairs.
At dinner, Nemo was sat next to Remy. The two became fast friends, and when they woke up together the next morning, they decided to be more than friends. Remy wasn’t quite over scabbers, but he had made great progress and Nemo didn’t mind too much. He had his sights set on another fish anyway. His father, however, did mind. His dad lectured and lectured, told him how worried he was, about how he had missed the unveiling of the corridors, and about how the relationship was just a bad idea overall.
“Dory,” Marlin called out in the dead of the night.
Dory entered the corridors of the castle and swam up to Marlin.
“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming,” she sang.
Marlin blushed and at that moment he made the impulse decision to get with Dory. It went against every rule he had ever set himself but if his son was leaving him for previously engaged rats, then he figured he could have a casual relationship with whoever the hell he wanted. He swam up from behind her and kissed her, firm and decisive.
Many months passed and their connection deepened far beyond the casual relationship he had originally imagined. He certainly did not mind and before he knew it, they were engaged. It was at this announcement that his suspicion of his son’s interest in Dory was confirmed in a sudden and overwhelmingly public outburst. Nemo soon realized his mistake and although this claim of love ended his and Remy’s relationship, he moved on quickly. The Next day he and Flik, the bug’s life bug who was visiting the castle, were kissing in the hallways and sleeping in the libraries. Both wanted the relationship and were available but the romantic aspect was simply missing.
