Chapter Two
“Uno,” yelled boots.
Swiper swipes the cards from him, “Uno,” yells swiper.
“But you cheated,” cries boots.
Boots pauses and looks into swipers dark and mischievous eyes, “I like that…”
Swiper’s whiskers twitch. He met Boot’s stare and smirked. “You do?”
“Dora doesn’t have to know,” boots whispers with a quiet smile on his face.
Swiper leans forward slowly, swiping the card off the table.
A look of silent excitement crossed boot’s face as his tail slowly straightened. He gently grasped the back of Swiper’s head, running his fingers across the individual fur strands with a strong admiration.
They leaned forward and kissed. Swiper slowly took out a small dagger from Backpack, and gently sank it into what he thought was Boots’ heart. “I’m so sorry,” Swiper whispered. Boots looked up at him, a shocked look on his face.
“Backpack, backpack Backpack, backpack On the backpack loaded up with things and knick-knacks too. Anything that you might need I got inside for you…” Boots trailed off, a disturbing look frozen on his face. Swiper burst into tears and rushed to Duo’s room.
“Is it done?” Duo asked, turning around ominously in his spinny chair.
“Yes!” Swiper said angrily. “I loved him!”
“Love is irrelevant,” Duo said coldly. “He didn’t do his french homework.”
“But why me?” Swiper protested.
“Because,” Duo said. “He wouldn’t expect it from you. I can’t kill him.”
Swiper burst into a fresh set of tears and ran back to the site of Boots’ death. He was gone, and a trail of blood led to a closed door…
Dora had been missing ever since the rumors that her boyfriend was actually her cousin were proven to be true. Dory thought they had run off together because they always knew they were cousins and had simply been exposed. Remy thought Duo had murdered her. He was a fearsome assassin who tortured with Spanish lessons. He and Dora had always practiced their Spanish together, but Diego had decided to use Conjuguemos and so Duo set out to kill him. Dora loved Diego, so at the targeting of him, she ran away. Duo had been partners with Peppa pig but she had gone rogue on a mission and was now in hiding. Probably because she was scared. This seemed to be a recurring theme with Duo. Remy had told Nemo of his time with Duo where He had missed one of the Language lessons Duo had proclaimed to be mandatory upon his arrival to the castle. He had already gotten a warning and when he missed a second class, Duo had kidnapped him and began sharpening his knives while Remy watched. The knife was touching his carotid by the time Voldy caught word of this and decreed there would be no violence in his castle. Duo left promptly at this announcement. Apparently, he had only spoken in Spanish throughout the torture. It was rumored that Duo was now set on killing the Conjuguemos frog, Conjug, as he blamed him for his loss.
