Time
Days turns into weeks and weeks turns into months since they’ve been living at the Avengers Tower. When there’s a mission, Loki, Harry and Bruce often stayed home not participating in the missions and Fury did not require their help either.
The three of them have gotten closer than before despite what happen between Loki and the other guy. Thor has been going back and forth from Asgard and Midgard to visit his parents and also joining in on the fight from time to time. Frigga have always asked about Loki’s wellbeing whenever Thor came back from Midgard. Frigga constantly worries about Loki but he seems to be doing well on his own know, she hoped he'll continue to live happily.
Harry has been adapting fairly well with the others, he still continue to learn magic with Loki under supervision of course Jarvis informs Tony everytime they do but Loki does not mind as long as they do not interfere. Pepper also have gotten closer with them, she would always bring treats or gifts for Harry when she stops by the tower to visit Tony. Tony have helped with purchase on Harry’s clothes also Loki’s.
Imagine the God of Mischief walking around with sweatpants and a white tee, a child dozing away in his arms, well that was the image the people living in the tower was now accustomed to. Sometimes he'll cook for them, they take turns cooking.
The trio, Steve, Natasha and Clint rarely stops by the tower because they’re on a case to search for Hydra’s base. Their work just got complicated after Winter Soldier pops up, making their work harder. The Winter Soldier had a metal arm that’s strong enough to stop Captain America’s shield, he was not an easy opponent. The trio recently teamed up with Sam Wilson, an acquaintance of Steve who helped them multiple times when fending of the Winter Soldier.
Nick Fury called in Loki to the SHIELD’s headquarters for questioning. Tony and Bruce tag along with them but did not enter the interrogation room, instead they were to babysit Harry in the meantime. It took a while to separate the kid from his dad, still clingy as ever, he pouts the whole time but Tony showed Harry around, the gadgets and the lab along with a few experiments onboard. He let Harry watch cartoons while waiting and Bruce sang along with him to kids’ songs. What a sight it was really.
Nick did not ask too much question, just wondering if Loki knew who manipulated his mind and how and that’s how they came to know about the Mad Titan. Nick stores the information away in a file only selected people can access to. He also stores Loki information away along with Harry’s but he has yet to mention it to other people.
“I have a proposition for you if you want to stay here and be guarded with the others.” Nick have thought about this for a long time and he’s still having dilemmas about it but then again what harm would it do to ask.
Loki was skeptic about this but if it meant Harry’s safety and happiness then he wouldn’t blink an eye.
“Continue.”
“I would like you to join the Avengers. Be one of them, we already have one Asgardian with us, your brother of course, so why not you too? What do you have to lose? You and your child can continue to stay at the tower and I know Harry has been getting closer with others. He can continue interacting with others beside yourself and this way you can ensure his safety with the other members as well. What do you say?”
“Do I have to join every mission? And if so who will take care of Harry?”
“We will call you if we need your help, since you’re with a child, we will only call when its urgent. Harry will be taken care of by our most trusted agents, Agent Hill and Agent Coulson. Or if it makes you feel more comfortable I will personally take care of him, or any other available members of the avengers. Recently, Thor has been busy in Asgard, so we may need your help from time to time.”
“Promise me that no harm will come to Harry.”
“I promise. Agent Coulson will guard him with his life as a promise to his previous parents.”
“Okay, I’m in.”
The Avengers gained a new member that day. Of course the others were thrilled about the news, Thor called for a celebration when he received the news. Tony discussed more with Loki about his powers and Harry’s and he even get to see them train if he have the time. Harry’s power has been growing from time to time, in his own pace and Loki was so so proud of his child.

A year has passed by, Harry turns 5 and he will be going to school just like other children. Loki did not like the idea at all at first until they discussed it all.
“Loki, I know you’re protective of him and we all are but he also needs friends and educations.” Bruce tries to reason with the overprotective dad in the room.
“I can teach him myself, and he have us, he don’t need friends. He’s happy with us here I don’t see why he needs to go to school.” Loki fights back.
“Harry needs to make friends his own age, he needs to learn to socialize with other kids. The school can teach him what kids his age is required to know.”
“Harry knows his ABC, he also knows his numbers well. He’s smart enough. Friends are not important, they will backstab him later in life.” Harry smart for his age, he adapts well and catches on to new things well enough.
“Buddy look, I will personally see to it that he is safe, Happy can guard him at school. Happy will pick him up from school and send him to class. I will trackers in his beg, juice boxes and his shirt.” Tony shrugs. He needs to work on a tracker that can be stick to hair. Maybe put trackers in Harry’s shoes and socks as well.
“See? He will be fine. Pepper enrolled him in he nearest kindergarten, it won’t be that far ad you can send him to school yourself if you want but Happy will stick with him at all time. Fury and Tony approved of the school.” Said Bruce who is trying his best to persuade Loki.
“Okay fine. I’ll go and make a protective necklace for him now. Hey Tony, is there a way to put cameras in his classroom?”
“Genius! I’ll see right to it.” Tony storms of to his lab with other ideas in his head.
“Guys please- you know what, nevermind. I’ll ask Pepper for his uniforms and others.” Bruce sigh once those two went along their own ways.
And so it was Harry’s first day of school. Harry was nervous but happy to make friends with other kids, he was very shy at first with his teachers and other students but he got over his shyness and made new friends On his first day, everyone insisted on sending him off together, cramped in one car, with disguises of course. Loki sheds a tear when he sends his beloved child off.
When he went back to the tower he requested to see Harry through the camera that Tony secretly put in the room. The avengers gather together in the common room to see Harry interacts. They saw him playing blocks with a kid who had ginger hair, Jarvis immediately identify him as Ronald Weasley, the Weasleys were good family in the law enforcement, otherwise a good selection. A bushy haired girl came over to play with them but also read storybooks to them as they played. Her name is Hermione Granger, daughter of two famous dentists in New York.
Harry came home that day with stories to tell the others and they happily indulged him over dinner. Loki was proud of him. Harry as expected had no problems in class with the teachings but he quietly whispered to his dad how he preferred Loki to teach him.
That night as they both got ready for bed, snuggled together as they usually do. Harry turns to his dad.
“I missed you today, and the others too but I missed you the most dad.” Harry said quietly.
“Oh my precious gem, I missed you too. I am so proud of you today darling, you bravely made friends with others.” Loki pressed a kiss to his forehead.
“I wish you were there with me papa, I was scared but I got over it because I want you to be proud of me.”
“My beloved child, I will never not be proud of you. You are my son, my gem, my darling, my precious Harry. Papa will always love you my gem.” He pulls Harry closer to him, tucked under his chin.
“I love you too dad. Thank you for being here with me.”
“Always.”
That night, something sparked between them and somewhere far far away, someone was watching them with a grin on his face.
“Everything is going according to plan.”
