Do you ever just win a battle against a ancient roman emperor with the help of a god ina  mortal body, then the god in the mortal body fights with some kind of snake thing and becomes a god again and then some days later you’re with your boyfriend at the campfire and then your ginger friend gives you a prophecy for another gods dam quest? no, never experienced that?

Because Nico did. And it wasn't really his favorite thing to do.

When he saw the green light coming out of Rachel's eyes he silently cursed to himself, praying that the prophecy wouldn’t mention ‘the child of the underworld’, ‘Son of Hades’ or anything related to him at all. Or his boyfriend of course. But he was immediately disappointed by reality

but in the end the arent the the heroes the the villains shall face

Nico was incredibly frustrated, THIS PROPHECY WAS SO VAGUE!!! for no reason??? and it probably wasn’t even about Bob?? if it was about Bob maybe he wouldn't hate going on this quest.. And also if they weren’t the heroes why bother going?? WHY WOULD HE??? AND ALSO THIS “SUN” WAS PROBABLY A CHILD OF APOLLO!! HW WOULDN'T WANT WILL TO BE in dangER!! no, no ,no ,nope not going to happen!

Will gave him a pat on his head like that's supposed to fix his stress, Okay Nico will admit that it was nice. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE POINT. “Will?” Nico whispered “Yeah babe?” Nico spluttered “I- i- DOn’t call me that!” “Neeks, just tell me what’s wrong? ” 

Nico looked at his boyfriend, he didn't want this

“I’m just pissed that the quest isn’t even about Bob!” “I know” “And it’s so vague??” “yes, I know” Will softly said again “And i-I just wish we could have a break from the madness for once ” “mhm” “It’s not fair” “It never has been-” 

BOOOM

It was the good old sound of their beloved festus, Leo must’ve arrived. Some Hephaestus kids rushed to him in case he accidentally started a fire. But Leo already came walking to them assuring that it’s fine. He looked sad. Which made sense, he had lost his best friend some time ago after all… Will Whispered something in Nico’s ear. “It looks like he hasn’t been taking care of himself” Will had a worried look on his face. And Will was right as always, he looked pale and thin, it almost looked like Nicohad given Leo health advice. Leo’s eyes were unfocussed and sad. “Shit ” Will said who was the only one who saw something coming. Leo passed out. 

Nico almost wanted to get mad at Leo for stealing his job, but he hurried to help Will. “Is he going to be okay?” Nessa asked Will. “Yeah, he just over worked himself, and probably didn’t eat enough today” Nessa nodded, but still looked worried. “C’mon neeks” They put Leo the brandcard and brought him to the infirmary.

Leo woke up in a white bed with white sheets, the room was also white, white walls, and big white lights. It gave him a headache. He felt like shit, not the type of shit that was like “I am the shit, man” but more like that one song in the Bo Burnham special called “Shit” 

He looked up to see that Apollo kid who was dating di Angelo for some reason. What was his name, agin? Ahh right, Will Solace. “How are you feeling, Leo?”

Leo groaned “Peachy” Solace raised his eyebrows “Valdez, this is not the time to be sarcastic, you literally passed out yesterday.” 

Ahh yes, Leo hadn’t forgotten that. He remembered sitting on Festus trying to hold tears back. Calypso had dumped him. Because he was not “EmoTiOnallY avAilabLE” or something. Leo had tried to explain it to her, without even understanding it himself. But Calypso apparently didn't have time for something and had told him to leave. 

He had looked at her and said “Fine, but I’m taking Festus and I’m planning on coming back soon” And then like an idiot he had left with Festus without thinking about food or a drink.

He sighed “Sorry if anyone was worrying” they probably didn’t “Yeah, you gave us quite a shock” Solace rolled his eyes, “You can’t just not, and expect it won’t bother you” “Uhh yeah” “You look like shit, people were calling you Nico 2.0 ” Leo blushed in embarrassment. “Anyway, I brought you breakfast and a prophecy” Solace did jazz hands when he mentioned a prophecy

By the gods, not another prophecy. After all that crap with Lester/Apollo he was done with prophecies. WHY CAN”T THEY THEY JUST HAVE A BREAK FOR ONCE! ugh Leo hated life. “And the prophecy mentions something about fire?” “Yeah, sorry ”

Ahh yes, the sweet sound of a god appearing. Chiron walked in on cue, “Lady Hekate wants to talk to the both of you”
