Multifandom Traitors AU - A request for your help
The Traitors is a reality show in the UK, US and Australia (maybe other countries but these are the ones I know have their own version) where about 22-25 participants are chosen to go to a mansion. They don't stay at the mansion overnight, I'm guessing there's a hotel they stay at that's nearby, but basically some of them (usually about 3 or 4 at the start) are traitors and the rest are faithfuls. Every night the traitors murder a faithful, and every day, there's a round table where they try to guess who the faithfuls are and vote them out, thus banishing them. In the mean time, they do a challenge a day to win money and, possibly, gain a shield. A shield basically means that person can't be murdered by the traitors, though they can still be banished. They don't have to say if they've got a shield so, if they were split into groups, and only one person in the group won a shield, they could say someone in the group won a shield but not say specifically which one, thus giving a layer of protection from murder to all members of that group because any of them could have a shield. They're supposed to be strangers but, at least in the UK version, there's usually two that know each other somehow outside of the game. They can choose to tell or not tell. There's also sometimes people who are hiding things but aren't traitors. Some hide their jobs if they feel like they're more likely to be murdered or banished because of it. Also, if one of the traitors is voted, they can choose to attempt to recruit a faithful. If there's one traitor left, they give an ultimatum of you join me or you die. If the faithfuls vote out all traitors, the remaining faithfuls win. If one or more traitors remain, they win.
So, i think it would be fun to do headcanons based on this. Give a character's name from one of the shows I write for and I'll do a multifandom traitors. This will include:
who the initial 3 traitors are
who gets killed
who gets voted out
who knows each other
who's hiding something and what they hide
who they try to recruit and if they agree
and ultimately who wins.
I think this could be fun. I'll go 22 participants, with 3 traitors to start. Just comment a character, any character, and we'll see where it goes. Also in the beginning there's, like, an interview with the host, where they say if they'd rather be a faithful or a traitor and why, so, if you want, say if you think that character should be a faithful or a traitor and why.
