Summary
Hermione was born a Lycan. Her adoptive parents are Lycans and taught her about her species. When she turns 16 in her fourth year, she starts her journey of finding out who she is and meeting her mates.
Note
So you don't get confused, here are ten things every Lycan (but no one else not even werewolves) knows:1. Lycans and werewolves are different but come from the same curse (more on that in the story).2. If you have a child who is half-Lycan and they mate with someone who is not Lycan/half-Lycan, their child will not have the Lycan gene. There's only Lycans and half-Lycans.3. Voldemort/Tom Riddle is the Lycan King and lost his daughter when the child was 2. After the Lycan King went missing, Dumbledore took over the Lycan world (the moment Tom resurfaces, ownership of the Lycan world immediately goes back to him).4. If the Lycan princess ever returns, she is due respect as the future queen.5. Lycans have one or two mates but Lycan royalty may have more.6. Tom Riddle has one mate but no one is aware of his mate's identity.7. Werewolves and Lycans can't detect each other. Werewolves detect werewolves and Lycans detect Lycans.8. Lycans aren't affected by werewolf bites.9. Werewolves shift into half-man, half-wolf. Lycans shift into a full wolf.10. Werewolves have to turn on the full moon and Lycans don't as they can shift at will.
