That first kiss was like breaking the seal. They kissed a lot after that, like they were making up for lost time.
Yet when Lily walked downstairs to meet James for their date, she found him pacing in front of the fire and talking quietly with his friends.
"Worried, James?"
He met her eyes with a scoff. "'Course. I've been waiting a—" he cut off, as though just hearing her words. "You called me James."
She shrugged. "About time, don't you think?"
She pushed up on her toes and kissed him. James smiled into it, and held her close.
