Lily found the rose on her pillow with a note that simply said
I hope your day gets better -JP
She stared at it for far too long. She doesn’t deserve it. She had yelled at him. It wasn’t even really his fault. She had been having a bad day, and he just picked that point to say something that pushed her last button, and she exploded.
And he brought her a rose.
She didn’t know how he got it up to her room, but she found her day was suddenly a bit better.
