“Ha!” Lily shouted as she mastered the charm. She glanced over at James, who still seemed to be struggling to get the wand movements just right. She sat back, smug in her knowledge that she bested him again.
“He’s letting you win, you know.” Remus said it without looking at her. “He knows it makes you happy.”
“He is not.” She paused. “How do you know?”
“He’s been able to do the bubble head charm for two years. Used it to tickle the squid in 4th year.”
Lily sat back in her chair. It was infuriating, but also… charming.
