The first strike
"It's time to go My Lord" a death-eater announced from the back of the room.
Voldemort was standing, his wand in his hand, smirking proudly about his plan. Peter on the other hand, was holding back tears. He was selfish, he was the one joining Voldemort and almost crying now.
Voldemort apparated right outside the Potter's home. Inside, James and Lily were singing Halloween songs to little Harry who was clapping for them. They looked happy.
James heard footsteps coming from the front yard.
"Lils! I think they have arrived!" James shouted, running down tbe stairs excited to see his friends.
Lily hearing that, ran to the window to greet her friends but was surprised to find one of her worst nightmares, Voldemort walking towards their home. A million thoughts ran through Lily's mind but the only thing she could do was shout to James to come back but it was too late. She heard the Dark Lord cursing her husband who fell to the floor lifeless. He was gone.
She turned to Harry, knowing she was next, and cried to him.
"Harry mamma loves you, dadda loves you, be brave"
And there he was, Voldemort ran into the room and pointed his wand at baby Harry. Lily begged him and begged him to spare her only son. She loved him more than anything, and for that, she ended up sacrificing her own life so her son could live his. With her love and courage she gave hope to Harry. But she was gone too now.
