Chapter 6
year 2
Caelum is just so cool, he's a rebel w a cause, just chillin w the snakes during the sorting feast, nbd, also, these freckles are like, an accident, and purely for espionage aesthetics, no! they are not real! as if I would ever be caught dead w real freckles, (it's true, sadly. they were a product of the last day of summer and the twins may have ambushed him in diagon, tho caelum does have a healthy glow bc he's been forced to go run around outside)
Ickle firsties Rookwood and Rosier are invited to sit w Selwyn (she totes is in on the black market, she and leo are tight) and that's when Aldon gets his first Gay Awakening(tm). "hey Ed, is it just me, or is Alice's bestie, like, really really pretty?" (yes it's true, Leo is devastatingly handsome and cool)
"No way, Alice is definitely prettier"
Caelum decides right then and there that Leo has enough popularity, he gets the new kids.
Aldon loves Leo and wants to be involved in all his schemes, drawn like a moth to a flame. Caelum tries to teach him potions but has 0 patience so there is much yelling and little potioning. he's flattered by the attention of this little firstie but eternally annoyed that Leo is his favorite
cute firstie romantic subplot: ed is jealous, aldon senses an opportunity, alice facepalms, and snape determinedly ignores it all
Alice is very much a leo stan, but like, eww, gross, he's my business contact. not my type
Alternate cute firstie non-romantic subplot: ed is jealous again (he’s losing bestie aldon to leo)...and then something
First day of class has albright in detention for distracting the class with excessive flatulence. every time there's a school break he comes back to so many pranks
"madam pomfrey lestrange poisoned me, please make it stop"
Lestrange has been brewing for the hospital wing for six months and Pomfrey is disinclined to agree with this analysis. (she knows he won't risk giving up his potions sorta-apprenticeship for the sake of poisoning this other kid, no matter how annoying)
"im fairly certain you’re just lactose intolerant mr albright"
