"If you could marry anyone in the school, who would it be?" Severus asked, looking up at his boyfriend.
Remus laughed slightly. "You, of course."
"Me?"
"Yeah. Wouldn't you pick me?"
"Of course....But, that's different."
"How is it different? Why wouldn't I pick you?"
"I just mean...."
"You mean what?"
"Well, wouldn't you want to be with a real man?"
"Sev! You are a real man."
"But, I don't have...." Severus trailed off awkwardly at the end.
"So?"
"Well, but...."
"I love you, and I want to be with you. Not even though you're trans. Not because you're trans. Not in spite of you being trans. I just love you, and want to be with you. End of sentence."
Severus was silent, then...."I love you too."
