How many times do I have to repeat the phrase 'I don't care what you look like.' ?

Remus looked over at his boyfriend. The older boy looked rather uncomfortable. He kept fanning himself. Actually, he looked to hot in general.

"Sev, if you're so hot take off your sweatshirt."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"My tee-shirt doesn't completely cover my binder straps. Plus, it's mostly my binder that's making me hot."

"Then take off your binder."

Severus looked up, quickly, eyes wide. "I can't do that!"

"Why can't you?"

"Because, Remus, if I don't wear my binder, my chest won't be flat."

"I know that. But, why does it matter? I mean I know why it does in general, but not having a heat stroke is more important."

"I'm not going to have a heat stroke. And it's not about dysphoria. If I was alone right now..."

"So, it's me then? Did I do something to make you not want to have your binder off around me?"

"No. No. No. It's just...you're my boyfriend."

"So?"

"And I'm your boyfriend."

"Of course. But, what does that have to do with you wearing your binder?"

"You deserve to have a boyfriend that looks like a boy."

"Oh, Sevva. You do look like a boy. Boys don't all look the same. And I don't deserve you to look like anything. The only person you should be thinking about when making decisions like this, is yourself."

"Boys have flat chests."

"Not all of them. Not even all cis boys have flat chests."

"Most."

"Why does it matter?"

"I want to look like a boy."

"You do look like a boy."

"A real boy!"

"You don't want to look like a real boy, you already do. You are a real boy. You want to look like a cis boy."

"What's wrong with that?"

"Severus, you're not cis. You'll never be cis."

"I know that! I do. But, it's not fair."

"There's nothing wrong with being trans. I-I really don't know what you're going through, what it's like. But, I promise you, you don't have to worry about looking cis. And you don't always have to have your binder on. Not around me."

"I don't want you to start thinking of me as a girl."

"I would never."

"I don't know."

"I can't do more than promise you I won't. But, I swear, Severus, you are my amazing, handsome, boyfriend. One piece of clothing isn't going to change that."

"I'll look different."

"Not that different. And I don't care what you look like."

"You really don't? Care about my appearance, I mean."

"I really don't."

"Okay."
