It's okay.
Remus looked up after hearing Severus whimper.
"Sev, what's wrong."
"Huh?" the ravenette said looking up.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" Not only was this statement already unconvincing on it's own, but it was made even more so a few seconds later when Severus slightly jumped at the thunder.
"Are you scared of the storm?"
"Of course not. I'm not a child."
"You can be scared of something without being childish you'know. We could probably make the room soundproof so you wouldn't have to hear the thunder."
"No. I'm fine."
Not believing his boyfriend, for obvious reasons, Remus non-verbally made the room have a two way soundproof system.
"Why did you do that?"
"Because, I know you don't like it even if you refuse to admit it. And I refuse to let you suffer because of your pride."
"Fine." Severus said in a grumpy way though was secretly grateful.
Calmer now that he couldn't hear the storm, and so could pretend it wasn't there, Severus went back to his book. Noticing this Remus went back to studying for potions, still keeping an eye out to make sure his partner was okay.
