Chapter 1
You had gone shopping since there wasn't much to do at the house, it was getting very boring walking around the halls at the house and doing nothing but wait
So you went out today for the first time in a while, it was nice to be out again but well you don't go out much because someone doesn't like you going out a lot or well at all
You pick up and look at an item when a voice behind you makes you jump startling you
"Y/n?" A voice calls your name almost making you drop the item in your hands
"Oh, James long time no see." You say shocked to see your ex who you haven't seen in years
"Yeah it's been an extremely long hasn't it." James says and you nod as you cross your arms and James noticed a diamond ring resting on your ring finger, from the looks of it whoever got down on one knee and proposed to you, is rather very rich or worked hard to get it "Nice ring." James says and you look down at your engagement ring and nod as you just stare at it blankly
"Oh, thanks." You say and James just nods not knowing what else to do
"So how long have you been engaged?" He asks and you look back up at him
"Oh, it was a few months ago." You say and James nods
"He must be lucky to have you," James says kinda feeling a bit jealous and hurt he missed you so much, when he saw you he was hoping you'd maybe have felt the same, guess he was wrong. He's missed you from the day you both broke up but now you're gone for good, aren't you?
"I guess." You say which confused James what? Why did you say I guess? Do you not love your fiancé? Is there still hope for him to sweep you off your feet
"So who is this lucky man? Who has won your heart over." James asks as he looked around like he was looking for someone
You take a deep breath knowing James won't like who it is at all like he won't be happy one bit who your fiancé is, and will probably say you're stupid for getting with him, but like you had a choice
"Malfoy, um Lucius Malfoy." You say and James's eyes went wide with shock, who knew what was going through his head but he looked at you in disbelief
"Oh wow um congratulations, actually there's moony and Padfoot I gotta go sorry," James says as he runs out of the store and you just watch him leave
'It was nice seeing James again, but like Lucius would ever allow me to be around James again so guess that's the last time I'll see him. I'll miss him.'
