Shopping.
It was a few days after Alexi's 3rd birthday and the small family was at the clothing store. Felix had decided that it was about time Alexi got new clothes and since he was three now Felix figured he could pick the clothes himself.
This is how the 'situation' came up.
Felix had let Alexi walk down an aisle by himself(he wasn't actually alone Felix was right behind him but it was still more freedom in the store than the toddler normally had) when about a minute later he walked back to Felix with an outfit in his hands.
"Daddy! Daddy! Look! I want this! Please!"
Felix took the clothes out of Alexi's arms to inspect them.
Holding them out Felix realized his son had handed him a dress. It looked to be around Alexi's size(not surprising since they were in the section that catered to kids around Alexi's age) and would probably go to about the top of the boys knees. Besides that there wasn't much to say. It was just a simple light blue summer dress that had a slightly darker shade of blue rose at the right side of the waist.
Felix was conflicted. He didn't actually have a problem with Alexi wearing more feminine things like dresses. And he most definitely wanted to support his son. But, he was nervous about what others would think. Or more accurately would do. He knew kids(and adults) could be cruel and he didn't want his son to go through that. Then again it would probably hurt Alexi more if his dad didn't support him. Besides, Felix was an adult. He could handle bullies if it became necessary.
Smiling down at Alexi Felix said "Of course, baby. Did you see anything else here you like?"
And with that the two continued on shopping.
