No way home)
Peter’s life was absolutely perfect. Against all odds, his mentor and father figure, Mr Stark had pulled through. His face had angry red lines across it, and his back was messed up badly. This led to him having good days where he only had a limp, and bad days where the avenger could barely get out of bed.
Aunt May had accepted him, and was slowly beginning a relationship with Happy, MJ was perfect, and Ned was still his guy in the chair. While Peter had had a little scare with the whole Mysterio thing, the public ended up believing him over the dead guy, so while his identity was known, nothing really changed except for the fact that Flash was being nice to him.
He was currently swing around town, waving at people who called out to him, either calling his Spidey or Peter. Either was fine with him, he just had to get used to the Peter one. A feeling in his gut had told him something bad was going to happen, a feeling that had started as soon as he had woken up.
That’s why he was currently swinging around, making sure that everything was okay. Suddenly he got a call on his phone, taking care to land on the side of a building, he had Karen answer it. It was Ned.
“Hey buddy, what’s going on?” Peter asked, a smile beginning to creep on his face, ready for Ned’s shenanigans.
“Peter, help!” Ned whispered, sending shockwaves up his spine, “Someone broke into my house, mumbling about canon events. He looks like another Spiderman, but scary. Definitely not a friendly neighbor!”
“Okay, Ned, stay calm! I’ll get there as fast as I can! Hide somewhere!” Peter said, beginning to swing once more, but toward Ned’s house.
“That’s the problem Peter, he has the weird list thingy on his wrist. It has Aunt May, Mr Stark, MJ, and me on it! I don’t-“ Ned’s voice was cut off with his scream and a thump as the line went silent for a bit.
Then, a deep and rough voice began to speak into the phone.
“Hello, Peter. It would appear that you have been messing with time, haven’t you?” The man said.
“No, of course not! I learned not to by the Thanos incident. Please what do you want, is my family still alive?”
There was a thud sound, the man was stomping on the phone, and after a second stomp, the line went dead. Peter’s blood was boiling. That bastard didn’t answer him. While rage was building up, so was his fear. He remembered being snapped out of existence and it had felt so lonely. He couldn’t go through that again.
The brown haired boy swung as fast as he could to Ned’s house, hoping that he would be fast enough. After swinging in and breaking Ned’s window, he saw fresh blood on the ground and no sight of Ned, but it wasn’t a lot of blood. This gave him hope.
Peter asked Karen to check for heat signatures and sure enough, there were footsteps, but they were quickly fading, so he ran after them, following them all the way to dock where the ferries for the Statue of Liberty was.
Briefly, the thought crossed his mind of why the fake Spiderman hadn’t just swung across the city, but maybe he wanted to be able to sneak around, not be high profile. He snorted at the idea of Spiderman slinking in the shadows of the city, while holding Ned, like in a terrible spy movie.
Ned. This spur him back into motion, and he swung across landing on top of the crown and peering into the little room. There was a hulking man standing there, looking like a Spiderman, but it was as if he was a cartoon come to life.
“Now, you are all here. My name is Miguel and I regulate space time. I don’t want to have to do this, but Peter has been messing with time. None of you should be alive, as this is not a canon event. I promise that I will make this as painless as possible. Basically what I’m going to do is erase you from existence first, and then from Peter’s mind.”
Peter could feel the heat rising on his face, and he quickly whispered to Karen to turn on instant kill mode. She did, and his eyes turned red, and he swung in through a hole, kicking Miguel straight into the wall, making a loud clang sound.
“You stay away from them, you fuckwad!” He growled out, and threw everything at the man.
Clearly, Miguel was not prepared for him to show up, because he wasn’t ready for a fight. He got hit with taser webs and just managed to barely avoid getting hit by the spider claws.
Eventually, Peter managed to web him to the ground, with his family cheering him on. He made sure that this Miguel dude wouldn’t escape from the restraints, and walked over to the group of people, turning off instant kill mode, and lowered his mask.
Mr Stark’s back was clearly injured once more as all he could do was lie on the ground. Any time he attempted to get up, it ended with a shout of pain. Ned had blood running from his temple, MJ had a black eye, and Aunt May’s jaw was bruised pretty badly.
Peter knew that he needed to get them medical attention, so he told Karen to call 911 and to turn on instant kill mode, ignoring the shouts of his Aunt May not to kill the man.
Peter knelt next to the tied up man and gripped his masked face by the chin. He made sure that the cartoon was looking straight into the glowing red eyes as he began to speak.
“Listen here, I don’t know who the fuck you are. Honestly, I don’t care. I never messed with time, and you have gotten your universes mixed up. I could kill you, but I am not that type of person, so I want you to use that wrist thing to open a portal. Once you have done so, I will pick you up, take the bracelet and chuck you in. If you ever show up here again, you will die next time.” He said, trying to sound as menacing as possible and hoped it worked.
A yellow portal opened up in front of them, leading to a cartoonish world. True to his word, Peter took the wrist thing, threw the man in, and smashed it, closing the portal.
Finally, now that his family was safe, he sat down next to them, turned off instant kill, and allowed them to hug him as the sirens got closer. What they didn’t know wouldn’t hurt them, right?
