(The Owl House) I’ll be back, I promise
The final object slotted into place like it was meant to be. Finally, the portal was done and this time would be going to Earth. The last time they had built a portal it all went to shit with Luz creating a promise she couldn’t keep. Naturally of course, instead of finding some way to tell her mom she couldn’t keep it, she went crying to her adoptive mother. Who, again naturally, went and told everyone who knew about the portal. Everyone who went to go comfort her, everyone who was now standing by where the portal was waiting for Luz to open it. The portal would only last for 24 hours with the little titan’s blood they had.
Luz swung open the door, revealing the dusty shack and the green forest beyond. She grabbed Amity’s hand before stepping through with her, Eda and King. Raine was standing back, rope tied on the demon and witches, ready to pull back at the first sight of danger.
“LUZ!”
She turned around letting go of Amity to wrap her mother in a tight hug. Many comforting words were exchanged in spanish, a language foreign to the pointed ears listening. Once they were done, Luz’s mom whipped out the kitchen knife she stored wait for this.
“Mamí? What are you doing?”
“Stay back Luzita! These THINGS are dangerous. They got you stuck there and put you in danger!”
“No Mamí! They aren’t bad! They are my adoptive family and the one with lilac hair is my cotton candy haired goddess. She is my awesome girlfriend!”
Amity waved timidly while pressing back further in Eda, King snuggled in her pale hands.
“GIRLFRIEND MIJA YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH ONE OF THESE CREATURES NOT TO MENTION A GIRL?! Don’t worry you are under a spell, I’ll free you then introduce you to a nice young man I met at church!”
Camilla ran at the huddled family ready to killed before Raine yanked them back just in time. The older woman screamed in rage.
“DON’T WORRY AMITY I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH AND I WILL FIND A WAY BACK! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AMITY!”
Those were the last words Amity could hear from Luz before Camilla bashed the portal with a huge stick, breaking the messy portal apart. On two very different lands, two girlfriends broke down falling to their knees in anguish. Both missing the one they love.
