Different Case

~ Will POV ~

I stood next to Beverly watching her work. Another body from an unknown killer. Jack decided to call it the Silencer Killer because the deposits had their vocal cords cut out. 

Each also had one organ missing and a different one each time. At first we thought it was the Chesapeake Ripper but this way the killer was different. 

Besides, he was caught two weeks ago not long after the first body found with its vocal cords cut out. For the first time I couldn't get into the killer's mind, as if he was blocking me or didn't have a motive to do what he did. 

I looked again at the pictures in front of me. I rubbed my tired eyes before something caught my attention. I looked at them more carefully before focusing on the one that had a sort of pattern cut into the skin. 

I know I had seen them once but couldn't remember exactly where. It suddenly struck me that Ara had shown me similar signs a few years ago when I became interested in her talent, Arabella is a strong medium as well as having a lot of knowledge related to the other world. 

I remember sitting in one of her sessions three years ago where I saw with my own eyes how she contacts spirits. 

I know that she will be able to know what it is and will allow her to give us new light on the matter. I quickly found all the photos of the previous four victims who also had marks cut into their bodies. 

Arabella works as a medium, writer, blogger as well as occasionally helping out with the murder cases but prefers not to be mentioned in media interviews.

 If I remember correctly her writing name is Luna Dawn and her blogging name is CrimsonSpirit.

 I haven't talked to her in a few weeks and I'm curious to know what she's up to, What she told me recently that she was going with some group to visit and take care of haunted places. I jumped up when I felt a hand on my shoulder 

'' Will is everything okay? Beverly tried to grab your attention several times and when she failed she came after us '' said Jack 

'' Yes I was only lost in thought '' I said calmly giving him a small smile. 

Despite the unpleasant start I have grown closer to Hannibal over the last few months and I see him as a person close to me. I would like to be with him more but there is little chance that he will feel the same way I do. Ara is one of the few people who know that I am bi.

'' Are you sure? '' asked Hannibal who still had his hand on my shoulder 

'' Yes, but come with me I think I have something,'' I said before heading to the room where I could put the photos on the big screen 

'' I think we need to pay attention to the bigger picture than the absence of one organ and the cut vocal cords. each of these five victims has cut symbols or marks on their bodies. Before fascia Jack that it is not important these symbols have their own meaning. However, I do not remember exactly what they mean '' I said 

'' From where do you know about them? '' asked Beverly 

'' I have a childhood friend who is a medium. A few years ago she told me more about her gift when I became more interested in her talent. '' She has equipment as well as more knowledge than all of us put together. Ara will have a bigger shot to discover the motive of this person or persons '' I replied 

'' Is she stable? '' he elaborated 

'' If you asking me if she can see the psychologist then yes. She can see him as well as when she is out of town she connects with him via video call. She sees and hears things that are disgusting as well as violent when she goes into a trance so in order to protect her mental health she talks to two psychologists. If you want to ask about her mental state you can call Dr. Hadrian Markish or Alex Nova. Hadrian is her main psychiatrist but she talk to Alex fom time to time '' I replied seriously 

'' Does she have any pets? '' asked Hannibal seeing my anger towards Jack 

'' She has two dogs that were rescued as well as a large cat that was genetically experimented with. She will probably come with them and have them with her because they don't listen to anyone but her. All three are really defensive towards her. She has special papers that allow her to take them anywhere '' I replied with a smile thinking of Hades, Ikar and Pandora

'' Will you be able to contact her and ask her to come here? '' asked Beverly before Jack could speak 

'' I can try '' I said pulling out my phone 

'' Is that her? '' asked Hannibal seeing her contact photo 

'' Yes '' I answered before I clicked the green receiver 

'' Hallo '' I heard tired 

'' Hey Ara '' I said 

'' Sorry if I woke you up. I can call you later '' I said 

'' Don't worry you woke me up from my nap and that's good because I have to finish what I started. What can I help you with Willy? '' she asked 

Willy is my nickname she has been calling me since we were little. Only she can call me that.

'' I am now on the case of an assassin who cuts out people's vocal cords as well as stealing one organ. What caught my attention was the marks and symbols they cut into the victims skin. I associated these symbols with you because I remember her showing them to me once '' I began

'' You want me to come to you and take a look at it? '' she asked 

'' Yes '' I replied 

'' It will take me a while to finish what I started and I have to inform Alex and Hadrian about my departure to you. I will tell you that I am glad that you called will give me a reason to leave I some time. It will give me a way of freedom from Vees and Rose who do not give me peace '' she said 

'' Vees isn't he that fan of yours who also works in law and Rose that doctor who wants you as a lab rat '' I said 

'' Yep '' she replied 

'' Fortunately Hades and Alex are better known and more respected than the obsessive two '' she added 

'' I will see you within three to four days Willy '' she said after a moment of silence 

'' How? '' I asked 

'' By not having an employer I can move when and where I want without anyone's permission is the first thing. I managed to quickly find a flight that accepts the animal and find a suitable car to rent. While we were talking I also sent messages to Hadrian and Alex with whom I will have a session scheduled with Hadrian tomorrow. I have dinner planned with Aspen, Alex, Stella and Hadrian dinner with them after tomorrow '' she replied 

'' There is a good chance Hadrian will come with me '' she added suddenly 

'' Why? '' I asked 

'' I don't know I just got this message from him '' she replied surprised also 

'' I will stop bother you now so you can focus on what you are doing '' I replied 

'' See you in a few days '' she replied 

'' Don't let yourself be possessed, Byeeeeeeeeee! '' she added before she hung up

'' Bye and Never '' I replied laughing a little ending the call  

'' Arabella will arrive within three to four days and there is a chance that one of her psychologists will come with her. She doesn't know why but I suspect it has to do with her ''stalkers'' who are not well obsessed with her '' I told them, 

'' What do you mean stalkers? ''  asked Jack 

'' Ambrosia Vees and Jess Rose are obsessed with Arabella. Jess wants to lock Ara in a facility for the unbalanced so that the power to investigate and test her, and Vees ''fell in love'' with Bella while she was working with his team on a case in New Orleans '' I said 

'' If you want to talk to her Hannibal you have to take permission from Hadrian because Ara won't betray him that way. Just like Alana willl need to it to  '' I added looking at him 

'' Who exactly is the medium? Will you tell us more about her so that we don't accidentally offend her or discourage her against us '' said Beverly suddenly 

'' A medium is someone who uses their psychic or intuitive abilities to communicate with the spirit world, including those who have passed on. They act as a bridge between the physical world and the Other Side, bringing through information from heavenly spirits to give to the querent '' I said remembering what Bella told me before I started telling them about her

~ Hannibal POV ~

I got a little scared when Beverly walked into Jack's office where we talked about the case saying that something was wrong with William. Although our beginning of the meeting was not very easy we managed to get to him a little. 

As the weeks and months passed our relationship improved. We became friends and although I wanted us to be more connected I thought there would be little chance of that.

He was the reason I stopped killing as well as eating people after his horrible reaction to the human city.

When I feel the urge to kill I try to go hunting real game and not people.

I use various methods to avoid hunting rude people like I usually do.

It's hard for me to leave my years of cannibalism behind but for Will I will do it

 True I charged another person for my actions but he was much worse than I was and he appropriated my kills himself. 

Surprisingly with good movity and serious dtermination I moved to the animal meat.

I moved first and when I saw him staring at the tablet I started calling his name. Only when I put my hand on his shoulder did I rouse him from his trance. 

He cornered us when he said he had a trail to find this killer. He surprised us when he offered the help of a psychic he knows and I could see that they have a really strong bond. 

I listened to him carefully while he told us about her as well as looked over his shoulder as he searched for her contact. 

When I saw her contact photo I noticed one of the most beautiful women of any I have seen. She is as beautiful as Will. 

I clenched my jaw when I heard about her problem but was glad she had the right support from her friends. 

I would like to talk to her professionally but I will do as Will says first and ask permission from her Psychologist. 

I don't want to come off as intrusive and that I have bad intentions towards her. I am very curious to see how it will all go
