Run Boy Run

Running. That was all he could do. Frantically breathing, trying not to fall. He'd lost everything. Every hope. Sirius, everyone. Just when he thought they were okay, taht things were gonna get fixed. But of course not. Why would they? After all, it was his life, the number two. Then, there were roots. Big roots, spread all over the ground. The forest? Oh, merlin. Great. But he couldn't care less at the moment. Ignoring his dry eyes, his wet cheeks and the far away screaming. His lungs were burning, he didn't know how long he had run already, it didn't matter as long as he would get away from...

Everything, he'd say. Sirius, Barty, his conflicts, his parents, time and space. Bringing as much distance between him and all that, that's what he was doing. He couldn't breathe. Was the air becoming cooler? What was wrong with the light? He stopped and stood. Had there not been a tree right there before? Confused, he looked around.

The forest in their area was cold and stripped trees, free of leaves or anything of that sort. Just... tall sticks. This, this was something completely different. There was green all around him, birds chirping, the sun was shining. Suspicious, Regulus thought and drew his wand, just to make sure.

There seemed to be some sort of... path, he'd say. A path of flowers, forget-me-not's, to be exact. Just while thinking how weird that was, he couldn't bring himself to not follow it. 'Even more weird'

The path led him further away from where he came from, the light getting less and less. There seemed to be some bioluminecent plants that spent enough light to see schemes, but not more. He thought about turning and going back, but he didn't really want to, considering he would have to face his problems there, so he just continued to go down the path. What could possibly happen? He had his wand with him. He had nothing to fear. He then reached the end of the path, and what he found was just absolutely breathtaking.

It was a glade, dipped in the light of a rising sun, glowing and comforting. The grass was a healthy green, and there was a huge variety of flowers on the ground. On the side, there ran a little river, clear as glass and with valuable gems as a base. The river flowed into a little pond, clear aswell, with beautiful greens on the sides and a rock in the middle of the pond. The wind in the leaves of the trees sounded like vague whispering. Everything seemed so calm and perfect, it was too good to be true.

Why was this here, in the middle of winter? It was impossible. Suddenly, he got scared. Really freaked out. What was this? What was happening? How did he even get here- it was silent. Too silent. He started panicking, looking around and then just giving up. He started to run back full-speed. It seemed like the whispering of the leaves was now real and followed him. He could make out some words, though he was not sure what to think of them. The words were Horcrux, necklace, diadem, cup, diary, ring and snake.

He didn't stop, not once until he could see the castle again.

Reaching the door to his room, he stopped running. There were so many questions in his head, he couldn't figure out a single clear thought, which concerned him. He always could. It was all like that panic when you pushed over a glass of water and you know you did, you know what's coming, but it hasn't happened yet. That part of a second that your whole body is just in shock. That was overall how he felt, and it freaked the fuck out of him. Still, he had to calm down and face his problems now, that he had come back. So, after taking a few deep breaths, he opened the door. And was greeted by a very concerned Barty rushing towards him in rapid speed and with open arms as soon as he saw him.

Y̶o̶u̶'l̶l̶ b̶e̶ a̶ m̶a̶n̶, b̶o̶y̶!

After their very long talk about how Barty was sorry and that Regulus could talk to him anytime, he had excused himself ro detention. Regulus didn't know how Barty had gotten it, but it seemed to have to do something with the act that Sirius had pulled today. Regulus, being alone now, thought of things to do to not have to think.

Only one thing really came to his mind. The Quidditch pitch. The only place of comfort and love that he knew.
