The first day
Monday, September 2nd, 1991
Alex walked up to the teachers table where she had been called, after finishing breakfast.
"Yes."
"Well, fist of all, Alex here is your schedule." Severus said and Alex took the paper from him.
Professor McGonagall talked next saying "We talked about this last night. Since, you're still not wearing the uniform I'm afraid I have to give you a detention."
"Nope!" Alex began before elaborating "It isn't class time yet, so I can still be wearing whatever I please. Also, my outfit technically fits into the dress code. White button up, check." She said pointing at her cloth white crop top, which had fake buttons going up the front. She then pointed at her purple, unbuttoned, vest, and said "Dark colored vest, cardigan, or sweater, check." Next she pulled up her short, checkered skirt, and let it flow back down "Black or gray skirt, check." Finally she pointed at her ponytail which was being held together by a Gryffindor tie "And a house tie, check.".
"That is not what the book means, and you know it. Besides, you're not even a Gryffindor."
"So, even if the code meant something different, it didn't state it clearly enough. As this is perfectly acceptable. As for the house, the rule book never says it has to be your house tie, just a house tie. Anyway, byeeeee!" Alex finished before walking off.
The rest of the day was pretty typical. Alex went to each class and tried not to make a scene. She already knew most of what they were learning. Which impressed the teachers. By the end of the school day she had managed to single-handily earn Slytherin 50 points, and hadn't lost any.
At 3:00 she, and the other four out students, went to Madame Pompreys. The whole thing hadn't been to bad. She talked to all of them separately, and gave Alex a bunch of books made by trans witches, as support. Alex had tried to pay for them, but Poppy refused.
The group of pre-teens left the Hospital wing at 6:00. And spent the rest of the day hanging around together.
Alex went to bed that night, truly excited to see what would happen next.
