The Letters From No one
The door to the house swings open. Petunia and Dudley enter.
Petunia: It's alright sweetheart, it's alright. We'll get you out of these terribly cold clothes.
Harry gets pushed into the house by a livid Vernon. Vernon slams the door shut. He then pulled Harry by the hair and began to interrogate him.
James, Sirius, Remus, and Lily all looked furious.
Vernon: What happened?i
Harry: I swear, I don't know!
Vernon makes a kind of growling noise.
Harry: One minute the glass was there and then it was gone, it was like magic.
Vernon opens the cupboard door and shoves Harry into it. He closes it and locks the door. He then bends down slightly to talk to Harry through the vent.
Vernon: There's no such thing as magic.
The great hall erupts into protests of people exclaiming that magic obviously exists.
The closes the vent. Harry is engulfed in darkness.
An owl is seen flying over Privet drive. Harry is seen walking and proceeds to collect the mail. There are 3 letters. Harry goes through them until he sees the one addressed to him.
The hall bursts into cheers. " Hogwarts!"
Harry widens his eyes and peers behind himself to see if there is anyone there. He turns back to the letter.
Harry walks into the Kitchen where his aunt can be seen cooking behind him. His eyes are still glued to the letter. He hands his uncle the two other letters.
Vernon: Oh, Marge is ill. Ate a funny whelk.
Dudley stands up abruptly and takes the letter from Harry.
Dudley: Dad look Harry's got a letter!
"Give it back you fat arse!"
Harry: Hey, give it back it's mine!
Vernon laughs.
Vernon: Your's? Who'd be writing to you?
Vernon takes a good look at the letter. He looks at Petunia and then turns his gaze to Harry. Another owl can be seen flying overhead.
There are three letters on the Dursley's doorstep. Vernon tears them all up at once. Harry can be seen playing with a toy in his cupboard. Drilling can be heard.
Vernon: No more mail through this letterbox.
" That's not going to work dumbass."
Harry opens his cupboard door. He sees his uncle drilling a board onto the mail slot. He then closes the cupboard door.
Petunia: Have a lovely day at the office dear.
They kiss. They then hear the screech of an owl.
Vernon: Shoo! Go on.
Petunia pats Vernon and they both see the stack of letters on the front steps. Vernon can then be seen burning them. Harry cones into the room and Vernon shows Harry the letter before he puts it into the fire. Vernon is then seen sitting in a chair looking quite paranoid.
Vernon: Fine day, Sunday. In my opinion, the best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley?
Harry: Because there's no post on Sundays?
"That's not enough to stop Hogwarts," said Sirius.
Vernon: Right you are, Harry!
He takes a cookie from Harry.
Vernon: No post on Sunday.
He laughs. The screech of an owl can be heard.
Vernon: No blasted letters today! No, sir. Not one single bloody letter. Not one!
Harry walks over to the curtains. He opens them slightly and sees hundreds of owls.
Vernon: No, sir, not one blasted, miserable--
He gets cut off and is almost hit with a letter that cones shooting out of the fireplace. Everyone in the house looks towards the fireplace. Hundreds of letters fly out.
Dudley: Make it stop, please!
Dudley jumps into his mothers lap while Harry looks amazed at the letters. Harry gets up jumping on the coffee table trying to catch one of the letters. Meanwhile the rest of the family is still freaking out.
Everyone in the great hall is dying of laughter. Bar a few people. i.e The malfoys
Dudley: Mummy, what's happening?
Harry finally catches a letter and starts running with it.
Vernon: Give me that! Give me that letter!
He picks up Harry.
"Let him go!"
Harry: Get off!
Dudley and Petunia run in to the hall as well
Harry: They're my letters! Let go of me!
The wood comes off of the mail slot and letters pour in from there as well.
Vernon: That's it! We're going away! Far away, where they can't find us!
Dudley: Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?
"That ship sailed a long time ago," said Lyra. Harry's parents look at him. "How did you get your letter?" Harry looked at Hagrid. "You'll see."
